What a wonderful place for a stay in Rome. The location was ideal and the flat included everything we needed to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. I highly recommend.
Good place. Has everything you need. Outdoor space very nice to have. Very clean. Would recommend and would stay again.
the property was in a great location, and the owner, Mazzi (short for massimilano,(?) however i can't spell his name) was great with us and very helpful. the unit was impeccable. it was bright and clean, and very modern. loved having the ability to do some laundry here too. the owner was so kind, and the place coundn't have been better. i recommend this to anyone who is going to be a tourist in Roma, because of its amazing location. the bldg seems old from the outside, but once you enter the locked gates, you couldn't feel safer. the main doors to bldg are huge, and locked, and same with the apartment. there is even a safe in the wall of a room for you to lock up valuables (passport, jewelry) and use your own code to ensure safety. it had blackout shading to assist with sleep. i can't say enough amazing things about this apartment, or its owner. i would definately go back. love it!!
Thanks for letting us stay in your apartment!
It was really clean, had everything you could possibly need and was in a great location right by the Vatican City walls.
Loved the style too - it was a really good place to stay :)
Our family of 4 stayed at many nice flats in London, Paris, Venice and Florence but our favorite was Tony's apartment in Rome. The apartment is on floor 0 (ground floor) with a wonderful, large patio area. The location is literally a block away from the entrance to the Vatican Museum. Restaurants, grocery stores, and metroc stations are all within a 5 minute walk. Granted some of the restaurants are tourist traps around the Vatican but if you go a few block over you can find some great Italian restaurants. The apartment is recently remodeled with tasteful Ikea furniture and nice sized bedrooms (2) and bathrooms (2). Great air conditioning which you will need in the hot, humid Rome summer. Massi uses every part of the apartment efficiently, including the washing machine out on the patio. The kitchen is small but again very efficently laid out. Apartment is well secured with a locked gate, a locked entryway and a securely locked door and locking metal ornate ironwork on the glass french doors leading to the patio. Area is pedestrian friendly except forthe 85 stairs you have to climb from the metro to the partment. The apartment was clean, has motorized shutters, iternet, iron and board, hairdryer, TV (not many English speaking channels). Great place for anyone wanting to be near the vatican city area and you can get to Trevi Fountain and Colosseum with about 5 stops on the metro or a $10 cab or uber ride. Cab to airport is about $55 and metro (red line) from the train station is about a 20 minute ride for 1.50 euros. There is some street noise for light sleepers, but we had no issues with the apartment at all. I would highly recommend Tony's Apartment which is a great value for the money.
Tony's House is situated in the Prati district of Rome, along the walls of the Vatican, a few steps from the most interesting sights of the capital; the St. Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel are within walking distance (300m). At the same distance, the station of Metro A Cyprus also allows you to quickly move to the rest of the city (3 metro stops from Piazza del Popolo, Via del Corso, the Spanish Steps), as well as many bus lines available. The district, residential and high historical value, it retains its original spirit while being visited by numerous tourists from all over the world. There are still the most important commercial areas of the capital characteristics (Via Candia, Via Ottaviano, Via Cola di Rienzo) and various typical restaurants of quality. Being a quiet and safe neighborhood, near the old town, it proves an excellent starting point to discover the wonders of the Eternal City!
