I'm not really sure how we came across this place, but what a great find. Located on a beautiful and secluded mountain lake high above the Salmon River, the cabin is a bit of a dichotomy, offering at once, both a rustic feel yet with finely appointed and comfortable spaces. From the wonderfully modern kitchen, beautiful dining table and comfortable leather couches, to the fun wooden-slab spiral staircase and the very cool (and warm) outdoor shower, the place had it all. The unbelievable outdoor spaces added another level of utility and comfort with a spectacular deck off the cabin that included a gas fire table and an abundance of very comfortable chairs and lounges, then steps down to a fire pit and beach (again with plenty of furniture), and down again to a floating dock with four very sturdy and comfortable Adirondack chairs. Did I mention the rowboat (with trolling motor!), canoe, kayaks and paddle boards? This place has it all! But the essence of course, is the natural beauty and tranquility of lake and surrounding mountains, it's spiritual really. And finally there are your hosts, Tom and Roberta, who are extremely accommodating and helpful. We absolutely loved this place and would highly recommend it without reservation.

Great Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We spent 9 great days at the cabin. It was peaceful, relaxing and the fishing was great. My wife caught a 22" rainbow trout, and we got over 20 others. The lake was like glass most days, and almost exclusively ours. It is a private lake and the neighbors are really nice people. The best part of the trip was the serenity. The hospitality of our hosts was a real plus. We highly recommend it to anyone.

Excellent Cabin On the Water

  • 5 of 5

This was a lovely place, and we enjoyed it. There are 5 beds, 4 upstairs. All either full or double beds. The kitchen was lovely and a breeze to cook meals, plus we used the BBQ on the deck. Fishing was good.

One of us had a leg problem, not these guys fault, but he could not negotiate the steps. So he slept in the master bedroom.

Perfect Lake Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

Our family (2 adults, 4 kids) stayed at Jumping Trout Lodge on Lake Williams for six nights. The cabin was extremely clean, well maintained, and stocked with everything you might need. The kids ate lunch at the picnic table on the big, beautiful deck every day. We really loved the kayaks and other boats that were provided. Though it rained on and off during our stay, we fished for most of four days and caught 27 trout from the dock and the kayaks. The view from the cabin is amazing, and we saw plenty of wildlife -- deer, mountain goats, ducks, eagles, and more! Jumping Trout Lodge is definitely a little slice of paradise. We'll be back! Roberta and Tom are the best hosts you could ask for!

A perfect Family week

  • 5 of 5

This house had everything you could need on vacation. It was a great week for our family of quality time. No wifi and cell service meant that we could bond as a family with no distractions. The kids haven't had so much fun in a long time. They say it was their favorite vacation ever.
