The location is ideally situated to visit Mont Saint Michel, Bayeux Tapestry, Domfront, Bagnoles de l'orne ,Landing Beaches in the North, War Cemeteries, beautiful beaches around Granville.
Nearby Mortain region is a fantastic hiking and climbing area, but also a land marked by the legend of King Arthur.The biggest waterfall in the West! The Grand Cascade of Mortain is over 20 meters high. A little further along the pathway is the Petite Cascade. La Petite Chapelle Perched on its 323 m high rocky spur, it offers a panoramic view across to the doors of the Maine and Brittany region. Mont Saint-Michel can be seen on clear days
Vire is an ancient walled city, built in the 12th Century by Henry Beauclerc, Duke of Normandy, son of William the Conqueror nearby is Lac de la Dathee, here you can take part in water sports, go fishing or stroll around the 5km perimeter and enjoy the peace and quiet at one of the many picnic area. Overlooking the lake an 18 hole Municipal Golf Course.

Near by Mortain has an historic abbey where you can walk to the waterfalls. The Petite Chapel is a wonderful view point and a WW2 site for one of the battles the allies had on there move south. There is a heated outdoor pool, tennis courts, go carting and cycle/walk tracks on the old railway line.
