Villa Pasion Tropical is everybody's tropical dream: a luxurious 270 sq. mts. villa in the greenest tropical surroundings just behind the most beautiful beach of Las Terrenas. Set in 1100 sq mts. of lush beautifully landscaped tropical gardens with its own private sun deck and swimming pool both spectacularly placed just outside your living room. Our villa is made up of a large living room, a kitchen, 4 bedrooms (2 king size & 2 queen size bed) 4 very spacious bathrooms
This special place will make you feel its unique relaxing atmosphere from the very first moment you step in it. The decoration of the villa and the garden were thought in order to create a perfect fusion between high standard modern living and the tropical, ethnic, cosy and calm environment typical of the Caribbean Islands.
Beach Details: These are definitely amongst the best in the country. They unfold in an endless succession of rounded small, medium and big size bays; each of them offers its own special and different charm. They all have in common huge forests of beautiful and tall coconut palms on the back – this is the highest concentration of coconut trees in the world!- so thick and green that if you look at the shore from the clear turquoise water you won’t even realize there is any tourist activity behind them.
The water on most beaches is always calm as they are protected by barrier reefs. Coral reefs are close enough to the coast that they can be reached by simply snorkeling from the beach in a few minutes swim in the crystal clear waters! The color of the water is exceptional, with its varieties of shades of blue and turquoise displaying themselves from the shore into the deeper sea.Beaches are never crowded and there are so many of them along the coast that you can always find a beautiful spot for you
Restaurants & Nightlife Details: Although small, Las Terrenas has a surprisingly wide variety of trendy restaurants and bars where to spend the evening hours. Located mainly directly on the beach, with terraces overlooking the sea just a few steps away, the restaurants offer everywhere surprisingly high quality creative dishes with chefs that have moved here from all over Europe. The large influence of French and Italian cuisine fuses here with the tradition of local food and fresh sea food ingredients. You can also find nice cocktail bars of tasteful design set on the beach or under the palm trees as well as more traditional salsa and meringue clubs where locals and tourists dance together the tropical rhythms under the moonlight !
Excursions & Getting Around: The Samana Peninsula is a natural jewel and it has a lot to offer in terms of excursions and adventure. Apart from literally being able of going to a different beach every day there is a whole variety of places that you will have the chance to visit while you are here. The famous waterfall El Limon is a national celebrity and is only a few kilometers away from Las Terrenas. From January to March thousands of humpback whales gather in the Samana bay from all the north Atlantic for reproduction and they can easily be seen in their natural habitat from one of the authorized boats visiting their sanctuary. Playa Grande, a five kilometers spectacular white beach, is a couple of hours drive from Las Terrenas and the surfers´ town of Cabaret just a few more minutes away from it. Playa Rincon, with its unparalled water colours, can be reached with a short but unforgettable boat ride from the village of Las Galeras, one hour drive from Las Terrenas. Horse riding on the beaches is also available
I was born and raised in Venezuela. Lived in California for a year as an exchange student before going to University. Studied Economics both in Venezuela and in the UK and have been living and working with my spouse in Europe for about ten years in pour businesses. We spend 4 months of the year in Las Terrenas during the winter, from where we work and take care of our properties there.
Jose Manuel Mendoza purchased this villa in 2006
When we first came to Las Terrenas in 2005 we fell in loved with the combination of beautiful nature, original feeling of town and the surrounding area, the great dinning, the availability of services and the mild and friendly nature of the inhabitants. We decided to purchase a lot of land near the beach we liked the most and built our corner of tropical paradise. We found here a great mix of qualities that we have seen scattered over the years in our travels in many places and we couldn't just pass on the opportunity to set foot on the one place we have found to have it all.
The best quality of this villa is to allow you to live outside. It has this wide doors that open the big living room to the even bigger cane roofed terrace and for the day and even the nights you can enjoy this huge open and ventilated space where you can lay on the hammocks, lounge under the sun, bathe in the pool, eat, write, read, play, sleep, talk, listen to music or dance overlooking the beautiful tropical garden that we have put so much of ourselves into making it what it is.
We had a great time in Las Terrenas, your house is beautiful and very tastefully done, a lot of attention on decorative detail to coordinate and your property caretaker was so nice and helpful. Great place.
Thanks again
House was as described, only negative is distance to road, its back a long, very narrow muddy road. Too far to walk and full of huge mud puddles, made driving out a hassle. On flip side, there is a good beach bar right where come out on main road
We were fortunate to enjoy this beautiful, clean and well looked after villa.
Posted pictures represented the property accurately:
Nicely decorated inside and out with comfortable beds and furnishings.
Well stocked kitchen with good appliances, all in working order.
Spacious outside living area with nice shade or sun and a sparkling clean pool.
All situated on a nicely landscaped lot with beautiful tropical vegetation.
Internet worked well. The location of villa is in a quiet area, with a six minute walk to the beach and its many restaurants.
Nathalie from Bea location management was helpful and efficient and Bony the housekeeper did a great job looking after us.
Thank you for opening your home to us...we hope to be back.
The villa 1 is a stunning piece of living. We were a family of 6. 4 adults and two children staying for 9 days. It has everything you need for a comfortable living and the terrass with pool and hammock is just mindblowing. Easy to chill out all day!!
The walk down to Playa Ballenas is about 6-7 minutes and there you find both nice calm palmtree spots as well as cosy bars and outdoor restaurants. Other nice beaches are only 15 minutes away. Taxi is inexpensive
If you would like to have your own chef for a couple of nights we really recommend Jumara. Specialty is seafood. Her paella was delicious!!
Nathalie who helped organize everything around the stay was great and an answer was always quickly responded to.
You need to be aware that the house is in tropical jungle. So it is humid and some mosquitos. Not many But you need some repellant and also use the nets in beds at night. We rate it 4/5 because of the price during x-mas was high and the proximity to beach was not as advertised, though a pleasant stroll away only. Could really recommend this stay for a big family!

The villa was perfect for our group of 3 kids and two adults. We were minutes on foot from a beautiful beech and spent a lot of time using the pool. The house was cleaned every day and we had a woman they recommended cook our meals which were delicious. There are a lot of activities in the Las Terrenas area (zip lining, waterfall, fishing, etc). Highly recommend this as a place to enjoy a vacation.

The Dominican Republic is famous for its exceptional natural beauty and for the friendliness and warmth of its beautiful people. The Samana peninsula, in its turn, is famous within the Dominican Republic for being one of the most beautiful, varied and still unspoiled regions the country has to offer to the visitors. These characteristics have only recently attracted new tourism to the area and this has allowed it to grow fast but in a very discreet manner while mantaining a balance with the environment and the local culture and life.
Las Terrenas is far from being a multi million mass tourism resort area. It is still a small ex-fishermen village, where foreigners and locals meet and mix in everyday life and where you can still taste the real Caribbean way of life. It has developed offering a wide array of small hotels, villas, small residential complexes, restaurants, shops and water sports centers, all settled along many of its beautiful beaches or just a few minutes walk behind
Other Activities: Kite surfing
