3 double en suite bedroom duplex apartment in the heart of Harrogate and directly opposite the International Conference Centre. Contemporary and well equipped
Entrance via the communal front door. Private door into the apartment with lounge, Kitchen, cloakroom and 1 ensuite bedroom on ground floor level.
Lounge has a sofa bed for two additional guests (max 8), Flat screen TV with cable package, DVD player and X Box. A selection of books, DVDs and games are provided for your entertainment. Window seating overlooking the Kings Road and Conference centre opposite. Dining table and chairs.
Well equipped kitchen with gas hob, electric fan oven, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, cafetière, toaster and all equipment needed for self catering preparation and service. A supply of tea, coffee, sugar, washing up liquid and dishwasher tabs are provided to get you started.
There is a separate cloakroom with WC and basin in the hall which also leads to a bedroom with superking bed (can be twins by request), hanging, drawer space, TV with DVD and ensuite with shower over full sized bath, WC, wash hand basin and mirror.
Stairs lead down to the lower ground level with two further double bedrooms. Bedroom 2 has a superking bed (can be twins by request), hanging and drawer space, mirror, hairdryer, TV with DVD player, ensuite bathroom with bath with shower over, WC and wash hand basin. Heated towel rail.
Bedroom 3 is also a superking bedded room (can be split to twins by request) with hanging and drawer space, mirror, TV with DVD player and ensuite shower room with walk in shower, WC and hand basin.
Decor is contemporary throughout and we have paid attention to the small details for your comfort. All bedding and towels are provided and the apartment is thoroughly cleaned before your arrival
We have a small car park with parking for one car on a first come, first serve basis. In addition we are able to provide on street 24 hour parking tickets for £5. Parking Is unrestricted on Sunday's. Travel cot and high chair available. One small well behaved pet welcome for £25 per booking.
Standard check in time is 3pm but earlier check in of 2pm is available for £10
Standard departure time is 10am but 12 noon departure is available for £15.
These options should be ordered in advance and are subject to availability.
Apartment is priced for 6 guests. Additional guest (max 8) charged at £25 per person, per night.
20% booking deposit secures the booking with the balance payable 28 days before arrival.
We all enjoyed our stay in Strawberry apartment.
Location:- It is in a great location, a short walk from the town centre with a good range of shops and Betty's Tea Rooms (which we visited for a lovely afternoon tea). There is a small tesco nearby for forgotten bits of shopping. The parking is what you would expect from a town centre location, but we managed to use a park behind the flat and some on the road spaces (you can buy scratch off permits for the road).
Amenities:- Towels are provided. There were hair dryers in several of the rooms. The beds were comfortable. Wifi was good. There was virgin tv in the living room (there were TVs in the rooms but we didn't use them). We used the sofa bed in the living room but if we went again we'd stick to 6 people max as the bathrooms are all ensuite so those staying in the living room have to shower in one of the bedrooms and it was a little squashed.
The only two thing I could suggest as an improvement is an 'A' on the apartment door. As when we came in the building a few of us made the same mistake and went upstairs thinking the apartment's door was a store cupboard.
We had a lovely stay and would definitely visit again if we were travelling up north!

The property is very convenient for Convention Centre - being just opposite. It's clean and there are lovely fluffy bath towels. It has everything you need for a short stay. The owner was very communicative during the booking process in answering questions about the property and helping with parking permits (We had two cars and there is only space for one in the car park).
The property is however rather tired and in need of maintenance and re-decoration. The kitchen holds an odd assortment of glasses and cutlery with nothing matching - but there are hundreds of plates! There were no complimentary toiletries - I rarely need them but had forgotten some stuff this time and could have done with them.
When we arrived several light bulbs were out, the TV didn't work (not good with a 5 yr old) and the TV cabinet had fallen off the wall! To be fair the owner responded very quickly and things were fixed the next day.
The rooms are fairly small and it was a squeeze turning one in to a twin bed. No drawers in the large downstairs bedroom and only a half height wardrobe (which my daughter thought was fun!). We chucked the cushions off the window seat and used that to store our clothes. Bathrooms are well fitted out but the water pressure isn't great.
I thought it was expensive for the standard of accommodation when comparing it to other self catering places we have stayed in for a similar price. We'd stay here again though for the convenience and I was pleased with the prompt response to the problems raised with the owner.
