About the property

Beautiful apartment in Cádiz. Air-con, FREE wifi and parking possible.

Brilliantly located, one bedroom, air conditioned, exterior facing 1st floor apartment with FREE wifi which sleeps 2 people.

It has one double bedroom with spacious built-in wardrobes and bespoke hand made shutters on the windows. We also have a modern L shaped sofa bed in the lounge which is suitable for up to two children. We offer an extra mattress for added comfort.

There is a big shower room with the shower, floor and sink made from a stunning green marble. It hosts a double headed, walk in shower, toilet and large wash basin.

We have a fully equipped, brand new kitchen which includes a fridge freezer, microwave, oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, a Nespresso coffee machine and a small extendable table for breakfast. We even have a hand blender should you want to have a go at your own Gazpacho!

The living room has two large floor length windows with two small 'Juliet' balconies to the exterior. All the windows have bespoke hand made shutters.

There is a flat screen TV and a DVD player as well as a dining table to seat 4 people.

Please note:

We offer a meet & greet service for all our guests on arrival to ensure you are introduced to the apartment and the garage if you require parking.

This apartment is perfectly suited to a couple.

Children are welcome.

Minimum stay is 3 days.

Long term rentals available.

Sorry no pets and absolutely NO Smoking.

There is a suplementary charge for cleaning of €50, payable once you are in Cádiz.

We are a couple who love Spain-the people, the culture, the food, the wine and of course the weather! Our search for an apartment in a Spain has taken us all over, to many beautiful places. Each one has something great to offer but in choosing Cadiz, I think we've found it all. We are both musicians who travel a lot internationally playing concerts. In this apartment, in this city we feel we have really found a place to not just get away from it all but a place that will stimulate, inspire and stay with you. Try it and see!

Why Jo Patton chose Costa de la Luz - Cadiz

Our apartment is quite small but has a great feeling to it. It has lots of natural light and is lovely and bright which is really important to us. When we bought it, it was reformed but had nothing in it and with the help of our fantastic interior designer, we have designed the whole apartment to emphasize the light to provide a really comfortable place to be with all the modern comforts of your own home. Although the apartment is located in a traditional Gaditano street, it was this situation that really made the decision for us. It is in the best area of Cadiz's Old Town and the view from even the little Juliet balconies in the lounge promises something special. Within 2 minutes walk of the apartment, you can be by the sea, to one of the most beautiful and romantic spots imaginable. Two minutes walk the other way, you can be in a great little bar enjoying a glass of wine and a tapa. For us Cadiz has it all.

What makes this apartment unique

We fell in love with Cádiz & our little apartment. Each time we visit we get to know each other a little better. The character of the city is so friendly, relaxed and sunny and it has such a great climate because it is surrounded by the sea which creates a really welcome breeze. The architecture is beautiful and there is a real pride in the city and significant investment from the city to ensure it retains this character. It is well located to explore the greater region and has great public transport links including a bus and train station. Jerez is only 30 minutes away and offers you the real chance to explore the authentic home of Sherry. Take a guided tour, learn all about how it's made, enjoy some tapas and take the train home...The Costa de la Luz is really fantastic laying claim to some of the most incredible beaches in a Spain. If you have a car, explore some of the Pueblos Blancos for a really authentic Spanish village experience.

In Cádiz, you are only 1hour and 40 minutes away from Seville by train which is definitely worth a visit. It can be unbelievably hot in the summer but is truly the capital of Andalucia. The natural breeze, temperature & space of Cádiz provide a real welcome on your return.

  • The bathroom is very contemporary with a double headed walk-in shower, a large wash basin and floor in a stunning green marble. Other facilities include a white toilet and a wall mounted, mirrored double cabinet.

  • The bedroom is an air conditioned double bedroom with a 150cm bed with a double window with artisan shutters. There is also a freestanding unit of drawers with a mirror in the lid which includes a hair dryer. There is also a long mirror & a washing basket.

A wonderful apartment

This was an amazing stay starting with the initial communication with Jo which was timely and very informative.

Even when we got lost enroute to the apartment Jo was able to assist!

The apartment is a dream having stayed in a few during our tour of Andalusia this one was a palace you could have stayed there for ever. It is well located, very clean and modern, there was nothing to complain about at all.

Great location and everything you need

4 days and could have stayed longer. Plenty of really good places to eat locally and could walk everywhere.

Got the catamaran to Santa Maria for a sherry tour and loved the plazas near to the apartment. Local park also good.

We came by car so to have secure parking was a real bonus

Fantastic apartment, fantastic location

Jo is an amazing host, she send us a week ahead our arrival all the helpful information about the apartment as well as Cadiz, places of interest, transport, restaurants near by etc. The apartment was really tidy and clean. Everything was there, really comfortable, all the commodities, airy and full of natural light. Just absolutely amazing! The apartment was in the old part of the city very close to all amenities, bars, restaurants, museums, a park and the sea. We couldn't ask for anything better.

The apartment was perfect for us and I really liked the way it had been designed.

White and bright and within walking distance of parks, beaches and the stunning old city's churches and buildings. Jo had made such an effort giving information and support prior to arriving which made what could have been a headache..we had a car..trouble free. We mastered the garage and lift and went to many nearby cities. Thank you Jo for making our holiday special. Cadiz and its surrounds is breathtaking and we will be back.

Lovely apartment, great location.

In the heart of the old city, this apartment has a traditional feel, but is kitted out to a very high standard with comfortable and modern furnishings and fittings. The cleaner/key holder was friendly and welcoming and coffee, wine and some basic food was provided on arrival. The sofa bed in the lounge was the most comfortable I have slept on. We had an excellent time in Cadiz, which is an historic and beautiful city with plenty to do for adults and kids. I would highly recommend the whole experience.

Clean tidy and well equipped property ,close to beautiful gardens , good value.

We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cadiz despite having a tricky arrival our plane was delayed causing us to be nearly two hours late, despit us trying to contact Alejandre several times to inform her we were unable to connect to her number, eventually managing to connect directly from the number off the I phone email, this all meant further delays combined with our lack of Spanish it was rather concerning, don't know if this has happened before? The apartment was spotless and well equipped ,perfect for sunny weather and spending the days out and about.Thank you for telling us about the building they usually started about 8am and were very noisy and a lot of dust and lorries coming and going it was ok for us as we went out straight after breakfast, the street will be good once that is finished, hope this doesn't sound too negative we did have a lovely time in Cadiz and would recommend it to family. Cádiz is a great place to be! Whether you want to eat, drink, shop, see flamenco, visit a museum or just chill out on the beach, Cadiz has it all. Its lovely to walk the whole circuit of the sea wall early morning passing through particular highlights such as the Parque Genovés and the Alameda Apodaca. Both are stunningly beautiful places with sculpted trees, beautiful flowers and even a waterfall in the Parque! Before lunch, visit the Mercado Central which is centrally located in Calle Libertad, next to the Plaza de la Flores vibrant with flowers. The Mercado is a real experience-incredibly fresh fish, meat and vegetables- fantastic if you can cook them but if not, there are bars that offer to cook the food you buy! Check out some of the stalls surrounding the Mercado. You can buy anything from Salmorejo to Sushi. My favourite bar for an aperitif is El Colmado.

If you fancy a bit of culture, you can check out one of the museums or galleries. Try the Museum de Cádiz in Plaza de la Mina or the Museo de la Cortes in Calle Santa Inés commemorating the 1812 Constitution. Nearer to home, you can visit the Centro Cultural Reina Sofia at the top of our street where it joins the Alameda.

Other things to visit include the Cathedral and the Torre Tavira in Calle Marques del Rio Tesoro which hosts a Camera Obscura giving fantastic 360 degree views of Cadiz.

A great range of shops are to be found around Calle Columela and San Francisco for a spot of retail therapy.

You may find spontaneous Flamenco in one of the city's Peñas but it's also worth checking out the city's concert venues-the Teatro Falla or Baluarte de la Candelaria for other events. the most lively & exciting time of year is the famous carnival in February-not to be missed!

The local beach is Playa Caleta which is about 10 minute walk from the apartment which is fantastic. The old walls and castle are great to explore if lying on the beach becomes to arduous..

If you fancy trying a beach a little further away, you can take the bus or even more fun, hire a bike(Urban bike) to Playa Victoria (5km) or Playa Cortadura (6.5 km away) which are both beautiful and have great expanses of golden sands and clear water. You can even catch a catamaran over to El Puerto de Santa Maria which is a lovely way to see both Cádiz and the mainland & so refreshing!

There are no end of great places to eat and drink in Cadiz but near to the apartment head to Plaza Mentidero, Plaza de la Mina, Calle Zorrilla or to a great restaurant on the Alameda, Balandro.
