SEVEN NIGHT MINIMUM
The perfect beach getaway at our beach front condo. Enjoy our beach inspired colours and decor.
Relax with a cool drink and spectacular sunset from your balcony before dinner, or sit with your morning coffee watching the ocean.
Take a walk along the beach to collect the most amazing shells....but don't leave them for us as we have plenty!
Take a beach chair and sit on the edge of the dunes just in front of our condo, and let your troubles float away.
Get your fishing rod out on the beach, or on The Fiddler's private dock just across the road, and catch dinner.
The Fiddler on the Beach is just a 2 minute walk to the quaint 'beachy' restaurant and shopping district of Indian Rocks Beach, and best of all - no need to take the car!
Further afield is all that Pinellas county has to offer in the way of entertainment, shopping, culture, sports, golf, amusement parks and more.
Each bedroom has a water view, one facing the beach the other the intra coastal waterway. The Balcony off the Living Room overlooks lush tropical gardens and sand dunes and then the blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico. A modern fully equipped kitchen, light and airy living/dining room and two full bathrooms complete the package.
There is a King size bed in the main bedroom and the second bedroom has two doubles. For an adult or child, we keep a foldaway bed.
The beachside pool with sun loungers is a perfect place to while away a few hours with a good book, or beachcomb along the pristine sands of Indian Rocks Beach.
Busch Gardens and Adventure Island, two parks adjacent to one another in Tampa are wonderful day visits particularly for families with children.
Downtown St Petersburg has several world renowned museums and a host of smaller galleries and parks, the waterfront and marina.
Pinellas County has two of the top USA ranked beaches, Caladesi Island and Fort de Soto state parks. In between these are over 20 miles of glorious white sand, pristine beaches, all open to the public.
While you are here, check out the atmospheric smaller towns of Dunedin - an arty waterfront town and Tarpon Springs, with its historic sponge docks and very Greek, mediterranean flavor and downtown Safety Harbor.
If that hasn't tired you out, sport is our big thing here too!
Golf, tennis, water sport of every kind particularly fishing, pro football, baseball and hockey during season and winter training and games for baseball.
Don't want to drive too much? We have a great public transport system and all along the beaches from Clearwater to St Petersburg beach you can hop on and off the Jolly Trolley street car, low price single fares or weekly passes can be purchased locally.
We are beach loving folks, who enjoy the quieter atmosphere of island communities.
Sunsets, a stroll to the local cafe or bar for a dinner, beachcombing and just relaxing on the sand with a book. Our vacation spot is just what the doctor ordered!
Rick Barton and Susan Lumb purchased this condo in 2008
Proximity to the center of Indian Rocks, but on the outskirts so it is quiet. Close enough to stroll, far enough to feel the calm.
The opportunity to take the trolley bus from just outside the building to explore further afield - south to St Pete's Beach or north to Clearwater Beach.
Sunsets, water views all around, walking distance to cafes, restaurants and bars, and to listen to great music! Heated pool in winter. The wildlife on the beach.....wow!!
Well furnished, in a tasteful but friendly way - reflecting the owners' character almost certainly.
Everything there that you could want including beach gear for both adults and children.
Beds were very comfortable and cupboards and drawer storage excellent.
Car parking good. Elevator and luggage carts made things easy.
Laundry facilities were communal which is understandable but a very slight negative for us, but there were enough machines.
On-site managers were around and accessible, helpful and friendly too.
We used the key box all the time, would recommend guests to take a small torch (which was provided) if returning after dark!
The owners were very helpful, responsive and clearly wanted us to enjoy ourselves - which we did.
Would happily recommend this property to others.
Location was perfect for our trip. Kid friendly made it much easier to enjoy and relax. Would definitely recommend this place! The beach was breath taking, and had a perfect view of the water. Not having to pack beach toys and accessories was a plus, but my only complaint is the bin that the toys and umbrella were kept in, needed a good cleaning. The inside was nice, clean and had cute beach theme decor. Great vacation overall.
My kids (5 and 4) and I stayed at this property for a week this summer and had a FABULOUS vacation. The property contained all of the conveniences for which one could hope. The property managers of The Fiddler are super friendly and helpful, and they do a fantastic job of maintaining everything. The pool was emaculate. The views of and proximity to the beach and water are superb. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend this place and am planning to return again...
We had the best holiday for a long time and could have happily stayed on beyond our 3 week booking. Everything was exactly as described and enjoying the sunsets from the balcony every night was just perfect. Everything was comfortable and 'easy'. The wifi connection was good, as was the supply of beach chairs, beach towels, guides to the local area and a whole variety of little touches.
We absolutely loved this unit at Fiddler on the Beach! We traveled with our 2 kids (6 and 11) and they didn't want to leave. Indian Rocks Beach is just a few steps away and the unit was fully stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen, bathrooms, and for the beach and pool (toys, chairs, umbrellas, towels, drying rack). We loved the layout of the unit with two floors. The bedrooms upstairs are big and airy and have a great view on both sides. The unit felt like a corner unit in that it was tucked away behind palm trees and not directly over the pool - the balcony felt very private and it was quiet. The palm trees right outside the balcony afforded a perfect view of the beach in the morning and at sunset (what beautiful sunsets)! The unit is just a few minutes walk to a CVS for anything we may have forgotten and under 2 miles away from the local Publix grocery store to stock up on food. We were here for the 4th of July and it was so fun to see the fireworks all along the beach. We could even see them from the comfort of our balcony and bedroom window throughout the night. The shower on the first floor was perfect so we could push the kids into the shower from the beach without trekking sand into the unit. We visited Legoland while we were there and Winter and Hope at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. We also frequented many of the ice-cream and coffee shops along the road and fed the baby gators at the local putt-putt course. It truly was the best beach vacation we've had and the unit really was perfect!
The condo is in very good condition and has wonderful views. The size is ideal for 4 people and the amenities around and about are superb with some lovely bars and restaurants in the area.
If I had to take issue with anything, it would be the noisy AC in the east facing bedroom and some of the fixtures and fittings are showing slight signs of age, but I am struggling to find fault really. Overall, our family had a wonderful week here and I would thoroughly recommend a stay!!
