the privately owned Powderham Castle, which has been in the same family

for generations.

Lovely views and good location

The flat was very clean and tidy but it lacked a bit of personality. We had everything we needed and the view from the balcony was an added bonus. It would have been nice to have a mirror in the smaller bedroom but we had a very good stay.

Beautiful, clean well appoint apartment, with a breath taking view across the bay. Close to the town centre and right on the beach, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our week stay and are looking forward to booking a return visit next year

Dawlish is a typical family holiday resort, with plenty to occupy old and young alike.

Enjoy a sunny summer day relaxing on the long sandy beach, go boating or join the children exploring the rock pools!

There is a real community feel to the town, it has a good selection of shops, eateries and pubs and its own Leisure Centre.

Be sure to visit the pleasant central park area, called the ‘Lawn’ during your stay, where you will be able to see the famous black swans of Dawlish on the river, they have been here since the early 1900s.

During the summer there are many free open-air events, children's entertainers and spectacular firework displays. You will be sure to find something to interest all the family.

The famous Dawlish Air Show attracts many visitors and locals alike, from all around the region, the world famous Red Arrows pay a visit, along with a fleet of other mighty planes.

Dawlish Warren National Nature Reserve and Visitor Centre, it has open access and provides excellent viewing for wading birds and wildfowl in winter. 

There are boat trips along the coast and up the Estuary.

Pay a visit to Powderham Castle, just 15 minutes from Dawlish and revel in the historic splendor of the castle and the magnificent grounds.
