Note: Use the Rates tab above to see costs by Weekday-Weekend-Holidays. Use the "Get an Instant Quote" or "Request to Book" buttons on right side of page to see exact prices for specific days. I do not use on-line credit card booking to save customers the service charge (See below).
Spectacular cabin in the pines. Come relax and get away from city life at this beautiful forest retreat. Includes everything you need but your food. Relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains, BBQ on the deck with a beverage, throw some horse shoes or hang out on porch swing or hammock. Close by you can visit Bison Ranch or fish for dinner. If you want a quiet retreat, this is for you :-)
There are several lakes within close proximity including: Black Canyon, Woods Canyon, Willow Springs, Bear Canyon, Chevelon, Knoll, and Blue Ridge Reservoir. There are many other summer and winter recreational opportunities nearby including hiking, backpacking, horseback riding, camping, biking, snowshoeing, sledding and cross-country skiing.
$ RATES $ – PLEASE NOTE that VRBO is now charging a service fee to customers (you) for on-line booking via credit card. I have made the conscientious decision to avoid this fee by allowing customers to pay by check. The VRBO on-line booking fee can be as high as 9%. If you decide to book this cabin you will sign a rental agreement that will include rental dates, occupancy, fees, and property description. You can then pay by check. I have used this method for many years and have yet to have one issue as you can see from the reviews. Please use the “Send email” button on the right hand side of the page next to the cabin picture. The process is safe and the rental agreement protects you and I. Thanks !

Great get-a-way from city life, mountain cabin retreat, put away the electronics and visit, take a walk in tall pines breathing fresh mountain air, play games, watch a movie… Just RELAX !!
We've taken our annual trip now for 19 years. We've stayed in many cabin rentals and our trip to Heber was very, very pleasant. The cabin was very comfortable. Comfy beds and great water pressure in the shower. That's very important to these "over 50" girls! This will definitely be one of our repeat destinations!
We really enjoyed the wrap around deck with lovely views and privacy. It was very quiet and relaxing sitting outside in the evening and the morning. The owner is so accommodating and was willing to make out trip possible with very short notice.
This cabin was just perfect for our family of 4, and a great way to escape the Phoenix heat for a weekend. We loved the wraparound porch/deck and the outdoor space which included a hammock and horseshoes under the shady trees in the backyard. As far as accommodations for all of us, there was a perfect area for our baby to sleep in the upstairs loft that was nice and dark and quiet, while our other son had a comfortable bedroom downstairs (so that neither had their sleep disturbed by the other).
As far as local areas of interest, we found a fun park for the kids just up the highway about 5 minutes. It was also only a 20 minute drive to several lakes on the rim for hiking and a picnic. We ate out only once, but the food was great at the Red Onion just around the corner from the cabin.
We definitely intend to stay here again! We loved this cabin and also the small town of Heber.
If you are looking at staying in Heber AZ. You have to seriously consider this gorgeous authentic log cabin. The home is very comfortable and inviting. The wrap around deck overlooking the cliffs is where I liked to spend a good amount of time. I highly recommend this home.
Your senses will come alive, here at this magical forest cabin... the earthy scent of pine, the tuneful sounds of birds, the warm colors of wildflowers! An amazing escape from the hustle-bustle, it will stay with you for a long time to come. The owners have created a very special and unique woodland experience for others to share :)
We had a peaceful, wonderful time staying at this Heber cabin. The owner was a generous host and allowed us to bring our well-behaved dog for our stay. The wood-burning stove kept us warm on the cool October evenings, the horseshoe pit kept my husband entertained, and the hammock was my favorite place to relax on the property. We highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing weekend away.
