What makes this house unique

One of the unique benefits of our home is that it's located on 250 acres so you truly feel secluded without being in a remote location. There's a 24 hour Ingles grocery store, several great restaurants, a Starbucks and a wonderful public park, all less than 2 miles from the home. Downtown Asheville and the Biltmore House are both an 18 minute drive down Route 25, along which you'll pass many restaurants, lots of shopping and great family activities. You can enjoy a vacation of complete relaxation or one that's packed with activities - our location offers the best of both worlds!

A wonderful retreat to the country; in a peaceful woods setting. Yet only minutes from Asheville but

even before Asheville many wonderful local restaurants.

The house was set up as if it was your families other home-well stocked and complete kitchen and

games, movies and books. All amenities as promised.

A peaceful interlude

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I have just left this lovely home. What an amazing weekend we had. The house is interesting, comfy, and cozy. Love the rooms, family photos, history, and incredible views. From the rockers on the front porch, to the screened in patio, to the Windows inside lending to watching the wildlife, we enjoyed every moment. We all would highly recommend this home in its quiet setting and look forward to returning.

Very nice - family enjoyed it.

  • 4 of 5

The house and property were as described in the ad. House is cozy and comfortable with a large collection of interesting books. There was a large yard area that my kids (12, 11 and 8) enjoyed playing in and interacting with the herd of cows on the other side of the fence. Upstairs sleeping areas very good for kids.

Felt the price was reasonable. Only real downside is that you are not in a "mountain" area - think more rolling farmland. However we knew that going in. Though there might be more places to explore on the property given its size but that was not a big deal - we would rather hike mountain trails. Owners very easy to work with and have several laminated info sheets that were useful.

If you like feeling like you are at home then this is the place for you.

Had the best time sitting on the front porch rocking the time away. Many opportunities for for day trips less then an hour away. Can't say enough nice things about the property. The cows come in the the mid morning to visit you while you are drinking your coffee. The property is clean and very pleasant.

Eden in Western North Carolina!

  • 5 of 5

What a treat and blessing! We researched multiple sites for our December vacation and chose Plumlea for its spacious accommodations, central location and excellent management/communication. Upon arrival, the home was exactly as described and well appointed. Spacious living quarters with TV, games and books are beautifully decorated and comfortable. Beds were heavenly with excellent pillows and mattresses. The home is very clean. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed for cooking. The location is perfect- beautiful views - but not so remote that driving to the grocery store is a chore. The local supermarket, Ingles, has a great selection and is open 24 hours. Asheville, Hendersonville, and downtown Fletcher are all just a short drive away. The grounds of the home also have great opportunities for relaxing and hiking. Stop looking, this is the vacation rental you have been dreaming about.

Comfortable large clean home

  • 5 of 5

Our family of five had a lovely stay at this property. It is a large enough house that we could all seek quiet time when desired, or all gather at the dining table for a meal or game. The kitchen was well equipped and we even cooked Thanksgiving dinner! Fortunately we had time to walk a good chunk of the property and appreciated the laminated map. The house is well off the road and has loads of Windows - I enjoyed having my morning tea at the dining table, with nice pastoral views of farm, woods and mountains. One morning we saw deer. I highly recommend this property and hope to return there for further exploration of the Asheville area
