Set in 5 acres of tall timber, this Park's home offers rustic elegance, comfort and absolute tranquility. A visitor would never know they were only minutes away from Flagstaff, restaurants and city activities. Choose from the night-life of Flagstaff or the adventures of the Grand Canyon (that is only a 55 minute drive!) , mountain biking, skiing or any number of outdoor activities within minutes of this beautiful retreat. This 2500 square foot home features a master suite, 4 bedrooms, a loft and 2 bathrooms. A supplemental wood burning stove adds that cozy touch while a family, or group of friends are nestled in for a late night home movie in this beautifully appointed Casa. The loft is great for kids and the covered porch, just off the living room, is great for BBQ's, boisterous conversations, relaxing evenings....Or just watching the wildlife. You are in the woods! The property backs up against 500 acres of Coconino National forest, so the only unexpected guests will be the deer, elk and eagle.
Snow play park off of Route 66 : 5 minutes away is a state park for kids to play in the snow, they have small runs for sledding and sliding etc. Anything you can think of to do in the snow. Great time for the family. Tubing year round at Elk Ridge Ski area.
Tubing in Williams, AZ : 12 minutes away is Williams, AZ 'Gateway to the Grand Canyon' and it has a small ski slope but half of the ski slope is used for tubing (year round) and it is a blast.

If you are a kind person I will give your family a discount. I take my job very serious and I want our guest to feel very comfortable. I will go out of my way to help them have an enjoyable visit. I love sharing my special place/home with guest. 99.9% love the experience.
Malcolm Giles purchased this house in 1999
Wanted time away from the busy 'Valley of the Sun' time to relax and rejuvenate one soul and time to enjoy nature. Time to live in the now and be present to myself. The fun part now is I can share these moments with our wonderful guest.
No one is around, you are alone in the woods and you will not see anyone else while you are there. Why not get away from the crowds. I promise you will not want to leave.
We came to vacation and get out of the valley. Thank you for sharing your lovely home. We enjoyed rain storms, fresh air and relaxed. We didn't see any animals but it was nice stop between the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff and Williams. Which we were able to visit all due to the wonderful location of the cabin. Very peaceful, love the location, cabin had everything you could need. Plenty of water, lines, dishes and utensils, etc. Thank you for letting us use the garage to put ours in to keep animals away. We had a great time and really enjoyed our stay.
What a fantastic stay! We came as a company of actors who needed a home for a weekend while doing a show in Flagstaff, and the cabin environment was so relaxing and invigorating. The property was beautiful and welcoming--highly recommended!
We were group of 13 people staying for two nights end of Nov. There were no major issues just not enough beds for 13 people ( 11 would fit) and WIFI didnt work. Other than that, everything else was great. Contact prople were available to reach out.
I would recommend this place to groups since It's great deal and close enough to GC and Sedona( an hour from each).
Nice house on a 4 wooded acres with four sleeping areas. Close to restaurants, go carts, and other entertainment and attractions. Management very agreeable to work with. Would go again and recommend to friends.
This is the first time I rented a place this big due to a couple of family members unexpected visit, and I have to say this places description is short from reality. The place over all is very nice and spacious the location is a must if you love out doors. I will be renting this place again very soon! We didn't get to explore as much as we would want to, but now we know what, where and how good it can be!
We enjoyed our stay at this property. We were two couples, brothers and wives. The two brothers are a bit taller than average, so the living room furniture was a little on the low side, but for average height people (like me), everything was very comfortable. We enjoyed the location very much - the surroundings are beautiful. I was fascinated by the lava rocks all over! Mr. Giles advises to arrive before dark, which turns out to be very good advice! Due to our travel schedule, we got there after dark. Thankfully we had GPS in our rental car and cell phone flashlight apps so we were able to navigate on those dark back roads and see what we were doing once we arrived at the house. I did have to call Mr. Giles when we were having a little trouble with the lock box for the key, but it turns out the problem was with us, not the box. He was very helpful and said we could call him anytime we needed to. It was the perfect pivot point for our Grand Canyon excursions, going to Flagstaff for work needed on the rental car, and of course spending time in Williams. We rode the Grand Canyon Railway which we would recommend as a good relaxing introduction to the Canyon. Bearizona was also very good - we weren't sure what to expect, but we enjoyed seeing all the animals. We saw a herd of at least a dozen elk one night turning off the main road on the way to the house! The house was just the right size for the four of us (I can't imagine parties of 12 or 14 in there, with two bathrooms! - but we're older and probably need more space than "youngsters".) It was stocked with most things needed - we basically just went to the Safeway in Williams to buy food. Other reviewers have mentioned the condition of frying pans, etc., and yes, they are old and worn, but they work just fine - my sister-in-law had no trouble treating us to a couple of fine home-cooked meals using what was there. This country girl was impressed with the quietness (you can hear highway noise outside, and the occasional train in the distance), and the fact that just over the fence is a National Forest. There were a couple of areas that we felt needed attention, about which I will be emailing Mr. Giles, but they are minor home maintenance type things that we just felt he should know about. Overall, a good, relaxing, convenient place to spend some time in the woods in Arizona.
We LOVED this cabin! Easy to get to with plenty of space. The property is spacious and secluded but very close to all the amenities of Flagstaff. This cabin is well maintained and had everything we were looking for. I would recommend to anyone!
Downhill skiing or the Polar Express in the winter, horseback riding, the Grand Canyon Railway, or just walking in the woods...It is all accessible from this secluded retreat.
Your GPS may say to turn on Puddle Place, street now is called Silver St.
