Why Rufus Pollard chose Malmesbury

Full of history, in the oldest town in England. Rare that such a historic, sizeable building be situated within the centre of a town, we are just 30 seconds walk away from the shops. Close to the M4, Abbey House provides a unique base to view the beautiful English South West.

What an amazing place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

Hosts very welcoming and very keen to share the history of the delightful Abbey House. A very different place to stay in the apartment within the house and have the opportunity to use the library and grand entrance room. With freedom to roam the famous Abbey House Gardens when all the guests had left was a real treat (perfect for a summer's evening with a glass of wine!). Perfectly located for a short stroll into the town of Malmesbury, with cafe's and pubs to eat out. Host left items for a continental breakfast (would have been great to have some butter for the Crumpets).

Thank you very much for a lovely weekend stay

Incredible

  • 5 of 5

From our arrival and tour of the house with all its portions through the centuries to the story of Ian’s amazing landscaping designs to the beautiful garden walks and the little surprises around every corner...we loved every minute! The room was gorgeous, space large and private, and view exquisite. If you ever have chance to stay here, don’t miss it!
