Also shower room. One bedroom downstairs with king size bed second bathroom with bath on ground floor. A 26 hole golf course with a view of the sea from every tee; eight holes played on the world-famous," Point". Ian Woosnam ranks it among his favourites and holds the club record .

Because the lane is so narrow parking is on the lower road there is space even in high summer the cottage is a short stroll up the lane it is possible to drive up to unload please assess access before driving up. We have a VW passatt and have no problem but wider cars may not be able to access.

The cottage is owned by Robert Temple and Janice Humphries, we live in Altrincham Cheshire with our two daughters.. Our long search for a cottage eventually brought us to Morfa Nefyn where we fell in love with the area and the village. The cottage was in a very bad state and we have taken nearly two years to slowly renovate it.

JANICE HUMPHRIES and ROBERT TEMPLE purchased this cottage in 2013

Why JANICE HUMPHRIES and ROBERT TEMPLE chose Lleyn Peninsula

We chose this area as we know Caernarfon well having holidayed many times around there. Also we have friends who have been going to Nefyn for 20 years. It has beautiful beaches and scenery, secluded but in easy reach of amenities.

What makes this cottage unique

Minimal passing traffic mainly walkers or cyclists as lane very narrow but this adds to the away from it all feeling. But walk up whe road you can buy fresh pork, cider and apple juice from a farm shop and there is even a fish and chip shop within a few minutes. Easy stroll to cafes and pubs makes it the ideal holiday destination for families, walkers and golfers alike also perfect for a romantic getaway.

Smashing time close to some of the best beaches

  • 4 of 5

The property is spotlessly clean and well maintained. Very comfortable for the 5 in our group (4 adults one child). Stylish chic decor. The log burner looked ace but we didn't use it because we went away during a scorching weekend. Outside the garden and patio area is not overlooked and great for BBQ and breakfasts in the sun. The narrow lane down to the cottage is tight but accessible for loading/unloading straight to door. Plenty of parking at the bottom of the lane and only a short 2 min walk away.

Janice ensured that we knew exactly how to get there and gain access to the property and the communication was excellent.

Morfa Nefyn and Nefyn are quiet places but the beaches are sandy and fantastic for swimming. Crabbing from Nefyn harbour is a must as well as a walk across nearby Morfa Nefyn beach to Ty Coch Inn. Many great beaches nearby but in my opinion the the best beach (Whistling Sands) is a 30 min drive away. The castle at Caernarfon is fascinating and the town a delight to walk around.

Will definitely be coming back to Karina cottage in the future.

too short a stay -- lovely cottage

  • 5 of 5

The property was very fresh and appealing in its decor, with a lovely garden. The description was accurate but we were pleased to find that it was cuter than we imagined it would be. The layout was very good with a shower room upstairs and another bathroom on the ground floor next to another room with a double bed. The location, down a very narrow lane, made it particularly quiet and seemingly out of the way, however it took just ten minutes to walk to a very good fish and chip shop, an off-licence and garage with general store behind. It was also a great starting point for a number of coastal walks either via Nefyn or the golf course on the far edge of Morfa Nefyn. The wi-fi had a strong signal, which pleased the teenagers, and the television had a good range of channels. The cottage was on the whole very clean, with a dishwasher and washing machine that was easy to use. We weren't blessed with great weather, so didn't have the opportunity to try out the barbecue in the garden but the oven more than made up for it. The customer service was great. Yes, we would certainly recommend to friends. Morfa Nefyn is a very quiet town and just right for those visitors who want to just chill -- but it is also close enough to Nefyn beach and Porthdillean beach for those with kids.

An exceptional spacious and well furnished cottage in a lovely location.

Well we live in Britain and we can never second guess the weather. It rained was windy and it rained more however when you stay in something as nice as this cottage you don't let the weather get you down.

This part of Wales is stunning and the gang and I are definitely coming back never mind the rain. Loved it and feel refreshed ready for the that four letter word, work.

Luxurious Lleyn Hideaway

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Karina Cottage and were sad to leave on the Monday morning. The house is spotlessly clean with good quality comfortable beds and beautiful linens. The kitchens thoughtfully equipped with everything you'd need the appliances are new and of good quality. The furnishings again are good quality and comfortable and add to the character of cottage but are relaxed you're not afraid to lounge on the squashy sofa with your feet up.A short walk from the village up a sleepy little narrow lane you wouldn't know it was there ; yes it's easier to park on the quiet main road once you've unpacked your car but it's not a problem at all.My husband fell in love with the wood burner and spent each night tending it lovingly, the lounge is so cosy with low lights and fire burning. The owners of cottage are accessible if you need them but don't bother you otherwise. We visit the area regularly but this cottage was something special and we hope to return and would recommend it to others.

Cottage was amazing, renovated to a extremely high standard but kept the charm of a traditional cottage.

Everything you need as been thought of,

Cosy evenings with log burner, even a dishwasher for the wife 😄,

Lane to cottage a little narrow I have a BMW X5 which made it down but had to reverse back up lane and park on quiet main rd which wasn't a problem 2 minute walk Max's

Overall amazing cottage in an amazing part of Wales. Definitely booking again
