This beautiful condo is located three miles north of the hotel zone and away from the maddening crowd. It is only twenty five minutes from the airport and near the fisherman's village of Puerto Juarez. This condo has a beautiful beach with views of the hotel zone and the island of Isla Mujeres. The ferry to the island is s[x blocks away. Tours can be booked at the resort next door. Convenience stores are within walking distance. Easy walking to the Mayans ruins named El Meco. Minibuses pass in front of the complex every ten minutes and go downtown where the mercados and large grocery stores are located. There is a parking space for the condo and wifi.

About Michael L. Garcia
My wife and I have been in the real estate business in Denver, CO for close to forty years. We took a leap of faith and decided to try international real estate. We love this area of Cancun and go down with our son three times a year for detailed upkeep on the place. The water in this area is calm enough for children.
Michael L. Garcia purchased this Condo in 1999
Why Michael L. Garcia chose Cancún
We looked everywhere from Cozumel to Playa del Carmen to Cancun for a place to buy. This condo was a good buy for our family and was still the real Mexico. It is not overly Americanized with Pizza Hut, Outback Steakhouse, McDonald's, etc. The area is a small fishing village just three miles north of downtown Cancun. The palapa style restaurants in the area serve the catch of the day.
Pool / Spa
We were promptly greeted by Frank whom was courteous and explained a bit of local life and attractions. We had an issue with the AC and the internet (kids couldn’t live without it during down time) that Frank was sure to get taken care without delay. It was an excellent place to rest from all the activities and running around.
Nice unit, a little dated but nice in a decent location away from the Zona Hotel.
Decent location. Not in the hotel zone but close to cheap transportation. Nice 2br unit but a little bit dated. Overall a good deal.
A great place to stay
This is a great place to stay at. Great for families looking to stay away from large crowds in hotel zone Of Cancun. The staff is attentive and willing to help. If you are able to do so, rent a car for a bit more Of independence. If u choose not to, taxis and city buses pass by every few minutes.
Ok for the price
Frankie was awesome to work with. Clean, convenient, and great for the money. Very secure. WiFi advertised but could not get on a network even with the password. Had to stay one night somewhere else to get some work done. Third floor with no A/C was uncomfortable but not a deal-breaker. Security guard must have been chain-smoking under our window all night and it smelled like there was a fire burning in the building. Those two things, plus the heat made it difficult to sleep.
Thank you for your booking. I'm not sure what happen with the a/c. Frankie usually lets us know right away if it is not working. I've heard nothing from him so far. Sometimes tenants will not close all the windows and doors including the bathroom doors. They need to be closed. The city will sometimes do a controlled burn in the jungle which is across the road. Maybe that was going on. The wifi is down by the pool and will go down occasionally but not often.
Loved the location! Super close to Puerto Juarez to get to the Isla, great local restaurants/Food vendors. Loved being away from the hotel zone, got the real feel of Mexico! Can't wait to go back!
We spent 28 days here in July 2017. It was our first time doing a vacation rental and based on this experience we will definitely do it again. The beach was beautiful. Seaweed does come and go, but our boys (4 and 6 yr old) spent hours building sand castles and splashing in the ocean. The pool was very well used as well. The condo is close to downtown. Buses drive by regularly (9 pesos per person) or you can take a short taxi ride (we were able to get a cab for 50 - 80 pesos each time). The condo is also within walking distance of El Meco (ruins), the ferry to Isla Mujeres (Beautiful island, a must see), several restaurants, Oxxo and the water park.
The BBQ on the beach did not work and you could only get WiFi at the pool or in the laundry room (though it did work on bed nearest the jungle - that was a late discovery). We would have also liked to have a deck or balcony. It would have been nice to be outside when the boys went to bed. Those were the only negatives that I could think of.
The communication was great. Michael responded right away to emails. There was a problem with the AC early in our trip, but Michael and Frankie were quick to repair it.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone. It was a great location, super quiet (almost no one on the beach but us), access to almost everything, friendly neighbors, great communication, great price.
The condo is located on the mainland directly across from the island Isla Mujeres. The ferry to the island is four blocks away. The street to the hotel zone is three miles south from the condo. Downtown Cancun is three miles from the condo.
