Just one mile away, the pretty town of Vimoutiers offers many shops and restaurants. The town also boasts to have one of two last remaining Tiger I tanks in France from WWII. The memorial has exceptional views over the La Dives valley where the battle took place and there is also an interactive museum on site.

If military history isn't your forte, then Bayeux with its magnificent hand worked tapestry, majestic Cathedral and many restaurants, is less than an hour away.
Monet’s House and Gardens at Giverney, though a little further away, are a memorable way to spend a day. And Honfleur, with its charming fishing port, surrounded by first class seafood restaurants, is very close. A delicious lunch followed by a stroll around the art galleries, or a sight of artists painting in the streets is all part of the pleasure.

We stayed at Les Frenes which was just refurbished that time. It was fresh and clean and enough space! The swimming pool and the hottub were very good for relaxing. Also the surrounding is great and the lake at the property is fun. Pat & Kirby were very hospitable and helpful during our stay.
Some great sites to visit: Falaise (esp. the Castle), the WWII Memorial Museum at Mont-Ormel, Camembert and Cerza Parc des Safaris (Lisieux).
Rose Cottage was comfortable and cosy containing everything a party of 5 people needed to have a great holiday. Its position gave us easy access to the area to travel and explore. The property is set in beautiful well maintained gardens in which we could wander or sit and enjoy the local food and wine. As an added bonus there is a hot tub situated by the pool in which we enjoyed a couple of very relaxing evenings.
The owners Tony and Pat Kirby were great hosts, both friendly and very knowlegable about the area giving good advice on places to visit and shopping. Market day is not to be missed.
We would not hesitate to recommend a stay at Les Patis and plan to visit again this year.
We had a fantastic time during our weeks stay. we were a party of 19 so we occupied all 4 cottages. The facilities are great and staying in 4 separate cottages we all had our own space as well. Kids loved the pool, tennis court and the wide open places to play. The properties are furnished to a high standard and very clean. Host are welcoming and nothing is a problem to them. We had some fantastic days out and about the local area, but what made it for us was the peaceful surroundings and wonderful gardens. a great place to spend a holiday. We WILL be returning and look forward to some more great evening spend round the pool barbecuing!!!!!
Tony & Pat had only taken over the properties for 8 weeks and couldn't do enough for us. Its a lovely place in an ideal location only an hour or so from Le Harve so ideal for day trips out but nice to return to the seclusion of Les Patis. Fishing by the lake listening to nature you couldn't be further from the hustle and bustle of normal life. Very relaxing. I can highly recommend it. We cant wait to go back.
Normandy is a beautiful region of France, easily accessible from the United Kingdom and yet a world away. It is a verdant land of delightful scenery, little colombage cottages nestling in the hills, friendly local people and of course delicious food and wine. The pace of life is slow, long leisurely lunches under a shady tree or in a little restaurant are an integral part of the day. The cheeses of the region are legendary and are named after many of our local towns Livarot, Pont L’Eveque. The village of Camembert is just 2 miles away. The North Coast with its golden sands and elegant seafront promenade is a pleasant drive away.
