'Coral de Mar' is a cozy apartment designed for couples and families who want to rest in a quiet area, near the main beach of Puerto de Alcudia in a design atmosphere. This apartment has been completely renovated (floor, 2 bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen and furniture design) between April and August 2010.
Coral de Mar is located on the fourth and top floor of a building with elevator. Inside are 3 bedrooms with plenty of light. The master bedroom has a double bed and a private bathroom. The second bedroom has a double bed and the third has 2 single beds. In total there are 2 bathrooms (1 with jacuzzi), a very bright living room with a flat TV TFT of 42 'with home cinema, TV and free Wi-Fi, a new kitchen with a Nespresso machine completely, balcony-terrace overlooking Alcudia, the mountains and the bay of Alcudia.
The beach is just steps away from the apartment. From there you can walk to the marina, the marina, the shops, hotels...

Una vegada tornada a la rutina diària aquesta setmana, toca fer memòria d’aquestes passades vacances i donar les gràcies a tots aquells que d’una manera o altre han fet que siguin inoblidables.
Només dir-te i agrair-te l’atenció que vas tenir en el primer dia de la nostre visita, l’illa impressionant així com també tota la gent, els dies que vam estar aquí se’ns van fer realment curts tot i que no vam parar ni un moment.
Aprofito també per dir-te que l’estança al pis va ser molt agradable tot i que no hi vam pas fer gaire vida, però realment molt bé tot.
Gràcies per tot, una abraçada des de Catalunya i fins a una altre.
What we did not like about this apartment:
- It was not quite clean. In particular, there was human hair on the floor. There was lots of dust behind the TV table which you find when searching for sockets.
I better keep silent about the carpet in the living room. Since I found no vacuum cleaner in the appartment,
I had to wash the floor next day we arrived as our baby still crawls and collects all the dust and hair on its hands, legs, clothes, etc.
- When I wrote an email complaining about the cleaning and asking for a vacuum cleaner, I got a promise we'll get one. Also we were promised
there will be "another deep cleaning together with a change of linen and towels".
- Soon there came a cleaning lady bringing a useless hand vacuum cleaner which needs to be recharged after each 5 minutes of using it. Also she said
that hair is not a problem at all.
- When I complained I did not like what the cleaning lady brought and said, there finally came another cleaning lady who brought a normal vacuum cleaner and
did the 'deep cleaning'. Although, nobody changed our towels and linen during all those 13 nights we spent there. They just forgot about us.
- WiFi internet got useless the next day after our arrival. I wrote emails and called the real estate company several times asking to come and fix it.
Got only promises back. What we found out is the internet worked best of all in the bigger sleeping room (the one without a bathroom).
- There was a bad smell coming from the jacuzzi bathroom all the time. Frankly, jacuzzi was stinking, it was no pleasure to enter this bathroom because of the smell.
- When we tried to use the oven there was a smoke coming out of it when just heating it up without any meal inside yet.
- Some other littly issues like broken plastic trash bag holder (the bottom part is no longer able to hold a bag with trash), some bulbs not working
(in the lamp above the sofa in the living room) - seems like nobody checked them.
What we liked:
- Close to a beach suitable for babies
- Elevator in the building
- Two working air conditioners
- The shower cabin in the second bathroom did not have that bad smell which the 'jaccuzi' one had
- Nice view from the balcony
This apartment is perfectly situated close to the beach and close to the harbour of Puerto Alcudia. Everything is in walking distance, doesn't matter if you want to do grocery shopping, a lovely bakery, restaurants, playgrounds and last but not least the fantastic beach. The apartment is quite spacious and with two bathrooms you have enough privacy and space to spend your vacation with friends or more than one family.
We have been to this apartment many times and it feels like home as you have everything in this apartment what you need. Coming soon again!
The fantastic apartment is just 100 meters from the long beach of white sand and crystal clear turquoise and aquamarine of Alcudia and 150 meters from the Marina of Port d'Alcudia.
Port d'Alcudia is a small fishing harbor, which today has become a popular place for people who enjoy life at the beach. The boardwalk has won several competitions in architecture and urbanism and is the perfect place to walk with its fragrant aroma and pleasant breeze, between "llaüts" traditional fishing boats setting, and the modern marina Alcudiamar.
On the other hand, there also find the best fish restaurants, ice cream parlors and clothing stores. And facing the beach, kilometers of fine sand that draws the Bay of Alcudia with its crystal clear turquoise waters. It is the most popular beach, with all services: bars, boat rental and sailing courses and a water park.
But this beach, which is the apartment, is the longest in Mallorca (10 km) but not the only one. Nearby you will find nearly twenty: sand, pebble, rock, accessible only by sea songs. Among the intimate beaches stands Alcanada, or the S'Illot Coll Baix. The latter is a true marvel of nature that is only accessible by boat or after a pleasant outing among pine trees and rocks.
Precisely from the Coll Baix begin some very interesting excursions for lovers of trekking and nature as it rises to Sa Talaia, old watchtower at the highest point of the town. From above we see two bays, the Serra, Alcúdia, the Pla de Mallorca and when the day is clear, the coast of Menorca.
But if there is an unmissable event for lovers of nature, is S'Albufereta and S'Albufera, two of the largest wetlands, relevant ecological value of the Balearic Islands, with significant plant and animal species.
Also very close to the house, 1 km, is the old town of Alcudia, whose name combines the Arabic and Roman footprint. Located near the Serra de Tramuntana, Alcúdia has his back to the rural Majorca, feet the waters of two bays, the north of Pollença and Alcúdia east. Alcúdia is located in the center of this area of contrasts, between the stone wall of the Serra and the sandy coves of the Bay of Alcudia between the north wind, the sea and inland.
Alcudia boasts an important historical heritage and the essence of Mediterranean life, where everything happens slowly, where everything is savored and enjoyed. Within its medieval walls (which began to be built in 1300) is Sa Plaza: the meeting place of the "alcudiencs" place of passage, the meeting point. All around are bars, restaurants and terraces to enjoy the best cuisine of the island.
In either direction from the square winding streets in several directions will lead you to beautiful monuments like the gates of Xara and Sant Sebastia, the Church of Sant Jaume, opposite which lies the city of Rome Pollentia and a little beyond the Roman theater, a 'rara avis' because instead of being built, is dug into the rock.
A row of orange mark the route of the main streets, the Carrer del Moll and Main Street. These streets are home to small jewelery shops, shoe stores, clothing stores, bars, restaurants, many of those housed in large houses built centuries ago, small and peaceful squares establishments. Alcúdia is one of those places worth lost in its streets to discover around every corner a new place with charm, a new feel.
Every Tuesday and Sunday morning, the pace of the city is accelerated with the market. Farmers, traders, artisans and artists paint color the villa and bustle of the people around you feel inside and outside the medieval walls.
Aucanada Golf Course is also just 3 kilometers from the property. It is one of the leading golf courses in Mallorca with 18 holes and spectacular views.
