This rental is in a perfect location to enjoy all that Galway has to offer.

  • 4 of 5

It’s just around the corner from all the colorful shops, pubs and restaurants that bring Galway to life. It’s situated perfectly on the quiet street of Long Walk facing the Corib river with all rooms having a lovely view of the water. You will not be disappointed with this choice.

Great Location

  • 4 of 5

We had 10 people stay at this house for a week. Plenty of room for everyone. Any where we wanted to walk to was less than 10 minutes(Latin Quarter, Galway Cathedral, The West End).

We had 2 rental cars so we had to park one at the docks parking lot (3 minute drive/5 minute walk) only 8 euros a day.

Inside the house the walls were dirty, the living room ceiling had some food or something stuck to it. Noise carries through the house very easily. On the first floor you can hear things going on on the third and for some reason all the doors slam shut on there own.

We had a tough time with the washer/dryer not getting clothes all the way dry after a 4 hour cycle and I had a few cold showers. There were plenty of towels but bring your own wash clothes.

With all that we would stay here again the location was beautiful and so close to everything in Galway. Can't wait to be back.

Perfect house for a small or large group in a perfect location to see all that Galway has to offer.

  • 5 of 5

This house sits, with its picturesque views, walking distance from the heart of Galway. The house was spotless on arrival and prepared accordingly for our large tight-knit group of 11. The welcome guide provided excellent recommendations for everything you could possibly want to do. The house mainly just turned out to be a place to lay our heads at night, because we were so busy during the day, so thankfull they were comfortable beds. Having previously stayed at a different location in Ireland, and dealing with slow Wi-Fi there, the high speed Internet was an added bonus with this house. The contact with the property manager both leading up to the trip and while we were there was great as well, very helpful!!

If we’re ever fortunate enough to return back, we’ll certainly be staying here again.

The Street is a promenade to one side of the Spanish Arch.

The Spanish Arch (An Póirse Spáinneach) in Galway city, Ireland, was originally an extension of the city wall from Martin's Tower to the bank of the Corrib, as a measure to protect the city's quays, which were located in the area once known as the Fish Market (now Spanish Parade). It was constructed in 1584.

In the 18th century the Eyre family of Eyrecourt, County Galway, created an extension of the quays called The Long Walk and created the arches to allow access from the town to the new quays. The Spanish Arch is located on the banks of the River Corrib directly across from The Claddagh.

In 1755, the arches were partially destroyed by the tsunami generated by the 1755 Lisbon earthquake.

Until 2006, part of the Arch housed the Galway City Museum. At that time, the museum was moved to a new, dedicated building located just behind the Arch.
