Why Tina Wigley chose Delabole
My husband and I have holidayed in this area for the last 5 years with our 2 boys and 2 Hungarian Vizslas, we simply fell in love with the area, so when this cottage came on the market we didn't hesitate. The Whole character of the cottage appealed to us straight away. This area soon settled in our hearts, not just because of the tranquility and peacefulness of the area but also because of the friendly people that already call Newhall Green their home. We hope to retire here and spend a lot of our time in our new holiday home.
What makes this Cottage unique
Whilst the cottage has had to be fully refurbished, we managed to keep the character and capture its original glory. The views from the garden are undisturbed, right up to the woods. The garden itself is very well established and boasts mature shrubs and plants.

Lovely house and very much enjoyed our stay.
This beautiful, warm and cosy cottage was exactly what we were looking for. It is in a very peaceful area but not far from the coast and some amazing walks. The cottage itself was comfortable, homely, immaculately clean and well furished. It had everything we needed! We arranged our break with Tina at very short notice and she couldnt have been more helpful in answering our queries and making sure everything was ready for us.
Thank you Tina. We would love to come back again.
I'm so glad you've enjoyed your stay Trudie. Would love to welcome you back. I'm sure there is still lots more for you to discover.
Five star cottage
We spent Christmas at Coopers Cottage and had a wonderful time. We wanted a peaceful getaway and that is exactly what we got.
The cottage is immaculate and really cosy. Couldnt find any fault whatsoever. Lovely kitchen with everything we could need. The lounge was really comfortable and cosy, especially with the wood burner going.
Plenty of good walks around the area and our two dogs loved it. Take wellies though!!.. We drove to the coast and visited Port Issac and Padstow which were easy to get to. The beach at Polzeath was great to watch the surfers and let the dogs run around.
Definately recommend this cottage and also Tina who was helpfull in sorting out things for us.
Wonderful rural retreat for a fab getaway
What a beautiful character cottage. Very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Finished to a high standard.
Very central to the tourist hot spots like Port Isaac, Tintagel, Boscastle and Rock etc.. Will definitely be returning to this little piece of paradise in the future.
Lovely stay at Coopers Cottage
Just returned from a lovely week at Coopers Cottage, had everything that we needed and the weather was good for us too. The garden was a bonus and our dog loved it. Visited lots of places but the cream tea at the cafe by Tintagel Castle has to be the best. If we came to that part of Cornwall again we would not hesitate in staying at Coopers Cottage. Everyone was very friendly and the local pub ( White Hart) did some lovely meals which we visited during our stay. Tracy who looks after the cottage for the owners keeps it spotlessly clean which is a bonus and the milk and the wine was a lovely gesture too. Thankyou.
Lovely quiet cottage.
The cottage is great for a quiet stay in the country. It is comfortable, with a lovely garden and great for the dogs.
Just further along the lane near the farm, you will find a liitle cabin, in here you can go in and get sausages and fresh farm eggs. there is usually home made Jams and trinkets too ,locally made by the farmers wife. There are many walks in the region, in particular right outside the front door, walking along the road towards the little bridge turn right and follow the path into the woods. From here you can walk right up to Delabole Slate quarry and enjoy a tour round the quarry experiencing the history first hand. Trebarwith Strand has the wonderful Surf school that will give lessons, an experience you simply cant miss, afterwards you can have a snack or meal at the Strand Cafe. For those that love cycling, you can hire bikes from Bodmin, Padstow or Wadebridge and ride the Camel Trail. Car Free Zone, you can cycle right from Padstow to Bodmin. If you stop at Padstow be sure to call in at Rick Steins. Along the route from Wadebridge to Bodmin there is a lovely little Tea Rooms, where you can grab just a snack or go for a full on Cream Tea or a sandwich. There is lots to see in Bodmin including the Bodmin Jail, experience first hand all the sights from years gone by and the horrific conditions upon the inmates lived. Visit Tintagel, the home of King Arthurs Castle, well worth the climb up all the steps. Have a stroll through Tintagel seeing all the wonderful exhibitions and the Oldest Post Office. Nearby Boscastle has a visitors centre, Witchcraft museum and some wonderful shops to browse. The close by market town of Wadebridge has some great individual stores and cafes/Bistros to visit. You can always explore Loswiethiel and all its antique stores and visit restormel Castle, sample thier wonderful wines and Jams. If you love Cyder (Not many aren't tempted) You must go to healeys Cyder Farm and take the tour, ride on a tractor then go into the belly of Cyder making, sample all the Special Reserve Cyders and Wines, for the kids there is just down the road Callestick Cornish Ice Cream Farm. For the younger visitors there is Hidden Valley an adventure for the budding detectives. Solve the clues to get the reward. Port Issac the home of Doc Martin is not only picturesque, it is only a few miles from Coopers Cottage and well worth a visit.
