This was a small, but nice flat in a wonderful location. We had two adults and two teenagers and managed nicely!
Small space, but great location
We had a great stay! The space was small, but was great for us and perfect for a couple or families with little kids. The grocery store was an easy walk down quiet streets. Transit links were good too - two bus stops within about 5 minutes (same route), a bit further to the overground and 15 to 20 minutes' walk (but possible to do it with great scenery!) to Tower Hill tube station. My son loved pointing out the top of the Shard from the window. I would absolutely stay here again.
A village next to the city
Excellent location and facilities, I will stay again. Thank you Linda for looking after us Richard
Very nice and a great location!
We totally enjoyed our stay there. The unit was very comfortable and the location was great. The people in the town and at the subway station were extra nice to us. We would recommend this unit to any one who wants to see London.
Great location and value
My son, husband and I enjoyed our stay very much! It’s in a great location , about a ten minute walk to the Tower Hill Station for the underground, and less than that to the Wapping station overground. Our seven year old had no issues with the distance. The #19 bus stop is also close.
The flat had everything we needed. It was great to take morning strolls through the marina and over to Tower Bridge. The waitrose is close so it was easy to get a few groceries.
We would definitely stay here again. In fact , our son says we are coming back every year for his birthday. He says Linda’s flat “is really cool”!
Thank you Regina, I'm pleased you enjoyed your stay.
We do pride ourselves on offering great value accommodation in central London, and love when our guests appreciate that.
I hope we'll be seeing you and your son back in Wapping for many years to come!
Nice, quiet, simple perfect for two people
Nice, simple place for me and my daughter to stay. I liked that there was a key lock so we could have access when we arrived instead of having a specific check in time. The towels provided were a nice size and the down comforter was very nice. It was stocked with coffee and tea etc along with a few things to munch on which came in handy. Close walk to two tube stations. Quiet area away from the hustle of the city. The host, Linda was very responsive to a couple of things we needed. One thing I would recommend having is some sort of light to see the key locks. We used our phone to see the key hole which worked but a light would have been nicer.
Thank you Sandy, it was a pleasure having you as a guest.
I agree a light for the key safe would be ideal, especially in the winter months. We had a solar-powered lamp (there is no power point in the vicinity) but it provided very little illumination. A mobile phone torch is recommended.
Wapping is on the edge of London's financial heart, the City, but even closer to the capital's most famous landmarks. The Tower of London and Tower Bridge are a short walk away and the nearby banks of the River Thames are dotted with some of Britain's oldest public houses. Charles Dickens set many of his novels in and around Wapping. River taxis stop here, taking visitors by boat east to Canary Wharf or west to the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. The nearest Tube stations are Tower Hill and Shadwell (DLR). Liverpool Street, with a fast service to Stansted Airport, is a short bus ride away. Both City Airport and the Excel exhibition centre are easily reached by DLR from Shadwell. Walking is easy too, and most of London's attractions, such as St Paul's Cathedral, the Tate Modern and the London Eye are a comfortable stroll away.
