Bright, modern apartment with garden, sleeps 2-4

Close to London's historic heart, this very popular modern apartment is a five-minute walk from the Tower of the London, the River Thames and many of London's top tourist attractions.

It is on a quiet, private street but just a few minutes' walk from a large supermarket, local shops and post office, bars and restaurants.

Tower Hill metro station, on the District and Circle lines, is 10 minutes' walk away and public transport links are very good. The apartment was recently refurbished to the highest standards with a wall-mounted foldaway double bed and a double sofa bed - ideal for 2 people, but still comfortable for 4. The living room is light and spacious with digital TV and DVD.

The bathroom has a powerful shower and hairdryer; the kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, oven, microwave and washing machine. The apartment has central heating and a garden with BBQ. All bedding and towels are provided, as well as bread, milk and other essentials for your arrival. You can book online with a credit card.

Arrivals and departures: Check-in is after 12 noon and check-out is 10am unless otherwise agreed.

To facilitate late/unpredictable arrivals there is a key safe at the property, and the secret code is provided once a secure booking has been made. This allows guests to access the property at their own convenience.

Great little studio

Second visit to Linda's flat in London.Very well situated,close to transportation and yet pretty quiet.Studio as all the basic needs and offers a nice little home away from home after a day of sightseeing.Neighbor (Arthur) can be noisy at times (especially at night) but all in all good value for London.Thanks Linda.

Owner's Response: Thanks for returning to WW, Luc, it was a pleasure to host you again. In more than 10 years of being his neighbour, Arthur has been both a blessing and a curse, and I am very sad to report that he died, quite suddenly, just a few days ago. He was a well-known character in Wapping and to many guests over multiple stays in the apartment over the years and, while the night-time noises have ceased, we do miss him already. We look forward to having you back soon.

Compact property in lovely location

We enjoyed our 4 day stay. The apartment was bright and pleasant. The kitchen was very well equipped. The surrounding area was quiet and attractive, yet close enough to walk to St Katherine's Dock and the Tower of London.

The apartment would benefit from sound-proofing the shared wall with the neighbour.

The nearest "tube" is Shadwell, on the Docklands Light Railway, about 10 min walk. This proved to be a good way to get to the Olympic Park (which we visited 4 times for the World Athletics Championships). Alternatively a 15 min walk to Tower Hill is good for the tube to the West End.

Small and needs some updates but in great neighborhood

Quiet neighborhood, great location for a 15 minute walk to Tower Bridge area

The bed is incrediblely hard so beware. We used a feather comforter.

We did not like it .

This Studio needs update !!!! The mattress is awful , two people can't sleep comfortable , shower to small . Sorry but I will not go back again as well I will not refer this place.

Convenient location in a quiet neighborhood

We really enjoyed our stay here. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. Walking distance to a grocery store, the tube and a couple of pubs and restaurants. Came home late every night and never felt unsafe. There's an iron, wifi, random supplies in the kitchen and leftover foods that previous guests kindly left behind.

No real complaints other than the mattress was not kind to my lower back and after 3 days I started to feel the arthritis pains.

I would happily stay here again.

Wapping is on the edge of London's financial heart, the City, but even closer to the capital's most famous landmarks. The Tower of London and Tower Bridge are a short walk away and the nearby banks of the River Thames are dotted with some of Britain's oldest public houses. Charles Dickens set many of his novels in and around Wapping. River taxis stop here, taking visitors by boat east to Canary Wharf or west to the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. The nearest Tube stations are Tower Hill and Shadwell (DLR). Liverpool Street, with a fast service to Stansted Airport, is a short bus ride away. Both City Airport and the Excel exhibition centre are easily reached by DLR from Shadwell. Walking is easy too, and most of London's attractions, such as St Paul's Cathedral, the Tate Modern and the London Eye are a comfortable stroll away.
