My husband and I bought this property in 1976. It was a bungalow then and we bought it because we loved this area and spent a lot of time holidaying here with our children and had many happy times in this beautiful part of the world. Almost ten years ago one of my children decided to have the house rebuilt to maximise our lovely views of the sea. Since then our grandchildren have grown to love it just as much as us.
The house has great sitting and dining areas on the first floor and has glass doors opening unto a large balcony which is lovely to dine on or just to relax on. It also has lovely views.
This is a wonderful 4-bedroom house in Portstewart---only a block or two from the ocean, with a couple of very nice restaurants only a short walk away. Very safe, secure neighborhood. We were 4 golfers, and it was a very convenient location---only 10 minutes to Portrush and 20 minutes to Castlerock! The house is well equipped, very clean, and well maintained. The owner was available and very responsive if we needed any information. A visit to the Giants Causeway, Dunluce Castle, and Bushmills were very easy from this location. There are so many neat things to do in the area, so I hope to come back some day with my family. Thank you Rossi for being such a great host!
We had a very relaxing week in the house, the view of the sea from the house was fab & the whole coastline was wonderful. The house suited most of our needs, the only small difficulty was no toilet facility upstairs & we had two very elderly ladies with us. But overall a very enjoyable week for all of us.
Lovely, well presented spacious holiday let with everything that you need for a great family holiday. We usually spent most of the days out vising local places of interest but spent most evenings in due to having a small child - we found the property very comfortable and possessing everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The kitchen was well equipped and the living space was ideal for our needs with lovely views of the coast from the upstairs patio doors / balcony. The bedrooms were very nice and our 6 year old loved the bunk beds! Overall an ideal holiday let in a good location and we would recommend this this property to other families visiting Port Stewart. Thanks to Rossi & family for making our trip such a pleasant one.
Seven family members had an excellent stay at the property. It was ideal with three double and one single (which also has bunk beds) bedrooms. The house is newly decorated with comfortable furniture and all necessary equipment. The local area has a stunning coastline and beautiful scenery.Being upstairs, the living accommodation and patio give good sea views. We visited the Giant's Causeway,The walled city of Derry and several other places. Our visit to the Titanic Centre in Belfast was of particular interest. The property lived up to our expectations.
A wonderful house with everything that you can possibly need for a stay away. The owners made the arrival procedures very easy, the place was very clean and the actual location made exploring the Atlantic Coast really straightforward. Location was great for Giant's Causeway, Bushmills, Derry and Belfast. As a group of seven the house was plenty big enough, with fantastic sea views and with a lovely terrace/patio. Really nice restaurant neerby on the sea front, a convenient drive to town and supermarkets and plenty of parking. Bedrooms were especiall good for a group with four children, as one room had three single beds - few other properties offer this. Highly recommended for others wanting to explore the northern coastline.
We were a family of 5 traveling to Portstewart for the first time. When we arrived we found the home to be just as the photos showed even more impressive. We were hesitant at first to rent since the home having no previous reviews, but are so happy we did! Upon entering the home we were in awe! The bedrooms were beautifully decorated which made it feel like a home rather than a rental. The beds and linens were super comfortable with plenty of towels for all of us. The 2 living rooms, dining room, and kitchen area are located on the 2th floor with endless views of the ocean. There are doors on the upper level to enclose the space. The kitchen was clean, efficient, and had everything we needed!! The neighborhood is quiet and close to all you need. We could walk to the town and the supermarket Tesco is less than a 5 minute drive from the house. We drove one day to the Titanic museum. It was about 1 hour and 20 minutes away, but it was worth the drive. At the beach we were able to drive our car onto it and had a blast. We wore the wetsuits provided in the garage and they were a perfect fit for our girls :) Plenty of beach towels to dry off and toys for the kids to play in the sand.
We could not get enough of the view! Totally relaxing and what we had wanted for our holiday. We spent most of our evenings on the terrace. Rossi was great with giving us places to eat and sights to see. Our first night we ate at Amici and had a lovely dinner. Harry's Shack is on the beach and had delicious food. Morelli's ice cream in town a must :) My husband loved his days out golfing with so many choices to play different courses. There were many restaurants and bars in the area, and great shops for ice cream. There are amusements in Portstewart and Portrush for the kids. The beautiful thing about this home, other than being perfect inside and out, is we did not want to leave! If you are unsure of where you want to spend your next holiday, look no further. This is the perfect place and we are hoping to return sometime in the near future for another vacation. We have recommended it already to our family in Ireland. Thanks Rossi! Your home provided us with an unforgettable time away in Portstewart.
Portstewart is a great base to stay for many different activities. There are some great golf courses in the area including Portstewart Golf Club and Royal Portrush GC home of Graeme McDowell and Darren Clarke and many more
If you like sightseeing then you can travel along the stunning coast road and visit Dunluce Castle, the famous Giants Causeway, Carrig-a-Rede rope bridge, Ballintoy Harbour (made famous recently by Game of Thrones filming there.) and Ballycastle where you can get the ferry across to Rathlin Island which is only 6 miles long and 1 mile wide famous for its seal colonies and bird life. Go up Torr Head for a great views and narrow steep roads and go on to picturesque Cushendun. Also visit lovely Glenariff Forest Park.
If you travel west towards Derry/Londonderry you can visit Mussenden Temple and Down Hill.
Portstewart has lovely coastal walks all the way from the long two mile beach to Portrush. You can surf, swim and sunbathe at lovely beaches or go sea fishing from the little harbour or just relax in one of the little cafes on the promenade.
Every May the International North West 200 Motor cycle race week takes place. In July its the Milk Cup International football tournament. So there is lots to do and see around Portstewart.
