lovely cottage on a big hill
Great views and 30 mins either way out of town from big things.
Lovely stay in cute cottage
Lovely village location, super house, everything there you need for a short stay. House lovely and clean, beds very comfy. We took our 11yr old and our puppy, both enjoyed the area and the walks, there is a great pub in the village that offers amazing food, slightly pricey but worth the money. The owner of the house, Jill, left us wine and chocolate cake for our arrival, a nice touch and very welcoming. The only draw back was there was no light in the garden when taking dog out, or if there was one there we didn't see it.
Lovely cottage perfect for our weekend break visiting friends. Everything you need well equipped kitchen, towels and toiletries and a gift of chocolates! Owner was flexible with check in time and quick to respond to queries. Look forward to returning.
3 night break
Had a lovely 3 night stay myself, my husband & our 2 jack Russell terriers
Cottage very quaint, clean & lots of thoughtful gestures left from Jill the owner....
i.e a bottle of wine & chocolates on arrival, mini toiletries, kitchen essentials a draw full of dvd's etc... views stunning, especially sitting in the garden where we were met with chickens, sheep & rabbits running around. The village is about a 20 minute walk away with a great pub 'The Busfield Arms" serving local ale & fab food, we were fortunate to have good weather so were able to go on lots of walks. The only negative I could say is the garden is actually detached from the cottage & the only access is via the front door which leads onto a very busy road, over the driveway & next to the garage, with our dogs having to put their leads on & take them round everytime they wanted to go out rather than just opening a back door.... this could also be an issue if you have very young children with not being able to supervise them from the house itself. That said the garden is a lovely little area to sit & have a glass of wine/bbq at the end of the day. We enjoyed our stay very much....
Cottage is lovely, very homely, comfortable & clean.
Parking by the garage Is tricky with a big car but not a problem as can park on the road opposite the cottage!
It had everything we wanted, a great location
There is lots to do from East Morton, you can visit Bronte Country and the Parsonage in Haworth which is only 5 miles away, The Heritage Village of Saltaire and Salts Mill which holds a huge collection of David Hockney paintings. The national Trust East Riddlesden Hall is just down the road with fab tea room, there is a superb pub down the road The Busfeild Arms and another great pub up the road Dick Hudson. St Ives Estate is great fro dog walking and picnicking - it even has a dog friendly café. Ilkley and its lovely shops and fine eateries and Betty's Tea Room are only a stones throw away and if you fancy further afield, more cosmopolitan Leeds is only a 20min train journey!
