This modern and comfortable apartment in Dornoch has been finished and decorated to a high standard with everything you could need for a relaxing self-catering stay. With two bedrooms and a spacious open-plan kitchen/dining/living area covering the entire width of the apartment building, 8 Argyle Place is an ideal home-from-home in which to relax after a day’s sightseeing in the Scottish Highlands.
The apartment is centrally located in the heart of Dornoch’s conservation area with lovely views of the town’s 13th century cathedral and historic buildings, as well as the Dornoch Firth and Sutherland Hills. With the town right on your doorstep you are only a short walk from restaurants, pubs and shops, as well as the famous Royal Dornoch Golf Course (only a 5 minute walk away). Dornoch’s beautiful sandy beach is a 10 minute walk from the apartment.
As well as enjoying the delights of this attractive Highland town, there are a number of attractions and activities on offer in the surrounding area, from coastal walks to distilleries. The towns of Tain, Brora and Golspie are a short drive away, and you are ideally located for exploring the northern and western Highlands. Driving south leads to the Inverness area (under an hour’s drive) where attractions include Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle.
Accommodation and Facilities

Twin bedroom: two single beds, bedside cabinets, built-in wardrobe.
Family bathroom: plumbed over-bath shower, underfloor heating and heated towel rail.
Kitchen: fully fitted modern kitchen with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, kettle, toaster, coffee maker and a range of pots and pans, crockery and utensils.
Dining area: dining table with seating for six, a selection of quality dinnerware.
Lounge: two settees, coffee table, flat panel TV with Freeview, DVD player and a large selection of films, iPod/MP3 dock, books and games, tourist information.
A hairdryer, iron and ironing board are available in the apartment. There is free wireless broadband internet (own laptop required).
The property has private parking at the rear of the building.
Ideal spot for a 3 night stay. Accommodation was very comfortable, well equipped and afforded lovely views of the town and was well located for access to the golf course and beach.
A brilliant apartment, very clean, comfortable and there was everything we needed for a great week. It was surprisingly spacious which added to a lovely family break. Great location for shops, restaurants and a short walk through the golf course to the stunning beach. A very refreshing week. Thank you!
3rd holiday booking with Gael Holidays in Dornoch. Ideal location, modern accommodation.
Only downside is the 2 flights of stairs as the accommodation is on level 2 and 3.
I personally wished the king size bed had a better mattress as I have a back problem. However my wife and son had no difficulties. Would certainly recommend this accommodation for a holiday in Dornoch
The apartment is consistently good. It is warm, comfortable and in an ideal situation for visiting the north of Scotland. I would thoroughly recommend it.

Follow the A9 north from Inverness over the Kessock Bridge and follow the A9 north towards Invergordon and Tain. Continue past Tain and at the Dornoch Bridge roundabout take the second exit across the bridge. Continue on the A9 and then take the A949 towards Dornoch. When you arrive in Dornoch you will pass the 'Jail' shop on the right and the cathedral on the left. At the T junction at the end of the square you will see the apartment building directly in front of you.
