Walking distance to local pubs/restaurant, village shop & Black Mountain Centre
- English, Welsh
Brynamman is a village which I am proud to call home; now living in the hustle and bustle of Brighton, I love my trips back to my homeland and am always taken aback by how beautiful the backdrop of the Black mountains are over the village. With my family still living there, I enjoy going home to speak my native language Welsh. My work gets me traveling the country and the world regularly and with 14 years of staying in hotels weekly, I have an eye for product, quality, service and comfort. I hope you book with us and enjoy the village, the area, and the cottage as much as I do.

Amazing Christmas in perfect cottage
We had an amazing 5 nights over Christmas in a perfect cottage.
The little details always make things special and to arrive to the cottage and be greeted with a lovely decorated real Christmas tree was a great start! With other decorations dotted around the cottage it really helped to make our stay.
We are a family of four (2 x teenage kids) and a dog and the cottage was a great size for us to have a cosy Christmas in front of the great log burner.
We cooked a full Christmas dinner with all the trimmings and the fact we could do so without having any utensil or pot issues perhaps best demonstrates how well equipped the cottage is.
Comfy beds and a massive bathroom with a great shower too.
We enjoyed some nice walks straight out of the front door.....if only the weather could have been a little more Christmassy rather than so wet....but you can't do anything about that.
Great communication before hand from Stephen and some great in house information all made the whole trip so easy.
Cant recommend enough
Absolutely the worlds cosiest cottage ever! So cute and an ideal base to explore the outside offers
From the moment of stepping in, I knew I had chosen well. Beautiful decor, clean and tidy throughout. High spec modern bathroon and a cosy-cute look throughout. Lovely spacious garden for my dog too and in a very peaceful location. A daily visit by Mr Robin was slso the icing on the cake! Thank you
Well equipped cottage, comfy sofas and bed which was a big bonus set in a lovely area Steven gave plenty of information on the cottage and surrounding area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return as soon as possible.
A lovely little cottage but with some aspects that need to be considered.
The cottage is very cosy, well fitted out with a lot of thought put into making a stay there very comfy. However, it is described as dog friendly but there are aspects that may not suit all dogs or anyone who isn’t keen on cats. The garden is only separated from next door by a low flimsy wire fence which had a large gap in allowing our dogs to go straight into the next garden. There are also other gaps around the oil tank large enough for a Labrador to go through. We spent the first 30 minutes upon arriving using old trellis from behind the shed to plug gaps. The adjoining cottage also has FIVE cats in residence who use the garden as their own and were constantly around the house unless chased off by the dogs.
The bedrooms are small but pretty and have enough room if you don’t bring too much luggage. The beds aren’t the most comfortable, would definitely benefit from new mattresses. The bathroom however is very spacious and has a great shower. You need to keep your wits about you on the stairs! They are very steep and narrow, really quite dangerous, probably not suitable for anyone who is not sure on their feet.
There’s nothing of much attraction about the town, nowhere nearby appealing for eating or drinking, but after a long day walking we were glad to eat in and the kitchen serves very well. We enjoyed lovely evenings eating in and playing cards. What is lovely about this place is if you turn left from the cottage, away from the town you are walking on the edge of the Beacons in just a few hundred yards. You are also well placed for driving to lots of wonderful places including Pen Y Fan, a strenuous but rewarding walk with the most amazing views. Or even drive down to The Gower, it’s only an hour away.
Fabulous long weekend
The cottage has been refurbished to a very high standard. It is emasculate and has everything you could need for a good relaxing break. We received a welcome basket of chocolate, spreads, a bottle of wine! And there’s even an honesty mini bar!! There four of us and 2 dogs and we were lucky enough for the weather to shine on us. We used the Derlwyn Arms for our evening meals as they were happy to have the dogs. Great food and friendly.
