Walking distance (8 minutes) of the beautiful, wide sandy beach & the village of La Cala de Mijas with numerous, quality restaurants, chiringuitos, bus routes & taxi rank. Brand new Aldi superstore within a 2 minute walk.

Ideal for young families, professional couples, the more mature, as well as golfers.

Malaga - 25 minutes, Marbella & Puerto Banus - 15 minutes! La Cala golf course - 8 minutes.

Private transfer available. Ample on road parking right outside.

To ensure the best holiday, we have supplied everything to make life easy. It is furnished as if it were our own! Quality super-king mattresses, large leather sofa with electric recliner, combination oven/microwave, four high-back beach chairs, beach towels & a hair-dryer! Cot & high chair.

42" Smart TV, Blue-ray player with films, Radio/CD player, High Speed Wi-fi, Climate control, Cool box, Safe & Iron.

Damage waiver deposit of £150 required a few weeks before your holiday, payable to our Managing Agents, La Cala Blue, and returned immediately afterwards, so long as nothing major is damaged.

2018 - There are building works being undertaken in the vicinity which have been ongoing since summer 2016.

About Diane Arkell

I run my own business in property & have always loved travel, starting at a very young age when my parents always saved up to go abroad for the summer holiday. Love the Caribbean & the Maldives & had thoughts of buying a place on the island of Grenada. However, following a couple of holidays on the Costa Del Sol, there was just so much to see & do in a most amazing environment, with beautiful weather all year, that I was smitten! Travelling down the hill from the beautiful village of Mijas, I made the decision then to purchase nearby. I have visited many times, but there is never enough time to see & do everything, so can't wait to book the flight back!

Why Diane Arkell chose Mijas

I have exceptionally high standards and could not purchase a property which I, myself, would not enjoy living in. I viewed many apartments, from old to brand new, but it wasn't until I walked through the door on CalaBlanca that I knew this was "the one". The location is great with views of the sea in the distance, as well as the mountains. The balcony is west facing which to me is perfect for when you return at the end of the day & just want to relax with a glass of wine & watch the sun go down!

I loved selecting the furniture which I wanted to be in a contemporary style. I also wanted to ensure that everything you would need is to hand at no extra cost. I have supplied a hairdryer, vanity unit, full length mirrors, ample hangers, storage for the "smaller bits", safety deposit box, cool box, beach chairs & towels and a cot & high chair. Anything I have forgotten, do let me know!

What makes this apartment unique

The location is amazing, so accessible to the local amenities without the necessity for a car. A taxi rank & bus routes are only a 5 minute walk. I always like an elevated position & windows both front & back to ensure the accommodation is light & airy. I have to have views & with this one you can see both the sea & the mountains in the distance. There is a lovely pool area and that too has an open aspect. The 5 minute stroll into the village is just right & 3 minutes more and you are on the most glorious sandy beach, with lovely promenade & palm trees. Could be The Maldives!

Fabulous apartment/ building works

Real lovely apartment nothing to fault, well equipped and maintained throughout except at our time of booking we were not made aware of building works going on this affected our stay if aware would not have booked.

Since commencement of the building works in June 2016 we have been fully booked and have monitored the situation closely; up until now we have not had a problem with many guests re-booking. The construction was scheduled to be completed by the end of 2017!!

Spotlessly clean, great apartment

Great apartment, very clean and well equipped and a pleasure to stay in. The whole booking process was stress free, Diane responded very quickly to my enquiry and even contacted me a few days before our holiday to check if my 13 year old would like a single bed or superking, great attention to detail, and it reflects in the apartment. Alison from Cala blu was very helpful and informative. It really is only a few minutes walk into La Cala and Aldi is just across the road. Being here without a car isn't a problem as the bus stop is close by and there is a taxi rank in la Cala. I have been coming to this area for many years and this was the best apartment yet! I would have no hesitation recommending it. There is a bit of building going on around this area, but it didn't affect our stay. Hopefully we will get to stay in Diane's fabulous apartment again!

Absolutely beautiful apartment, great location! Highly recommended.

We booked to stay in La Cala de Mijas to attend a friend's wedding. The apartment was absolutely stunning, with a great location. Easy walking distance to all the bars, shops, restaurants etc. I would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it.

Stunning apartment

This apartment is in a perfect location for anybody not wanting to drive.There is an Aldi supermarket virtually on your doorstep which comes in handy when carrying the heavier items and there is also a big supermarket in the centre of the town which stocks a lot of English brands. There are lots of restaurants and takeaways in La Cala and all of the ones we tried were really good. The apartment itself is stunning with everything you could possibly need for your stay and a few extras such as beach towels which are not usually provided. We have been to many different apartments in La Cala and this one is definitely at the top of our list for our next trip.

Just returned from a two week break staying at this superb holiday rental. Impressed on arrival to this beautifully kept, modern, bright and airy apartment. Each room was tastefully decorated to a high standard and all needs catered for - from the little things to the more practical e.g. cool box, beach chairs and towels!! Location was perfect - 10 mins walk to the beach and excellent restaurants/bars and with a new Aldi only 2 mins walk away, just ideal to pick up all the essentials.

We are already looking to revisit next year, it was simply perfect!!

Car: not necessary

La Cala de Mijas is so well placed for a huge variety of activities. The world renowned La Cala hotel, spa & golf course & Nikki Beach are just a 5 minute drive in opposite directions.

All the beaches are amazing - miles of beautiful soft sand with a walkway extending to Calahonda - lots of chiringuitos on the way!

La Canada shopping mall is just a 10 minute drive with a huge selection of stores, restaurants & cinemas.

The picturesque village, Mijas Pueblo, is a 15 minute drive up into the mountains - all white buildings, central square, leather shops & local crafts, many restaurants, bull ring & open air theatre. Amazing views to the coast.

Many attractions within a maximum of half an hour's drive, including cable car, water & adventure parks, zoo, safari park & marinas.

Snow capped mountains of the Sierra Nevada just a 2 hour drive - outstanding skiing for all abilities over the winter season.

Infact, just too much to do in one visit!! You will want to return!
