C & P
We had a great stay! We felt like we were house-sitting for friends which means the gîte is very well equipped. Gorgeous terrasse with stunning views over the top of the village and the surrounding mountains. If you want to experience what it is like to live in a pedestrian only village perched on a steep hillside, this is it. The village is not just quaint, but a vital non-touristy community with very narrow streets and passageways throughout. Be prepared to walk, and pack accordingly since your luggage and provisions must be carried in. Ask the very kind hosts about the trail down to "Bendola Sauvage" for an extraordinary day on a river with wonderful clear pools of water and enormous boulders scattered about.
Acrobranches, canyoning, hiking and nights in mountain refuge, rafting, horse riding, paragliding, hiking, river swimming, mountaineering, mountain biking, beaches, sea, heritage workshops for children (Wonders Museum of Archaeology and Land of Art and History), quality local products (cheese, olive paste, honey, nougat, gingerbread, pies, organic vegetables on the market, floral waters, essential oils etc. etc.
