Welcome to our apartment located in the beautiful village of rural Guia, 4 kilometres / 2.5 miles north of Albufeira in the warm, sunny Algarve. Nestled in the corner of the Quinta dos Alamos complex of apartments and villas, our large beautiful 3 bedroom apartment is just waiting to be discovered… you.

We have purposefully designed our apartment to be comfortable and homely – a place to allow you to relax, recharge your batteries, take time out, enjoy the hot sunshine and ultimately have a wonderful value for money holiday. We can comfortably accommodate six adults and children but also have a baby travel cot. Our garden allows you to relax in, the children to play in sunbath in the hot afternoon sunshine. The communal pool is situated on the other side of a wall allowing you to exercise or cool down in.

The mini complex comprises of three blocks of three apartments. Apart from one or two, the majority are occupied by Portuguese residents so is happily a very quiet location.

Guia has a number of local shops, many restaurants and several bars. The large Algarve Shopping Mall is but a 10 minute drive away, containing a very large supermarket, clothing stores, summer shops and a food hall.

The nearest beach is 10 minutes drive away, Zoomarine is virtually the same. There are a number of water parks all within easy reach by car, bus or taxi.

About Leigh Hitchens

Michelle and I bought our apartment in 2008. We have not marketed it until very recently but have decided to do so as we will not be visiting Portugal for at least a couple of years. We have we believe created a beautiful "home away from home" environment to appeal to all families.

If you are looking for a very active night life, Albufeira is roughly 25 - 30 minutes away.

Why Leigh Hitchens chose Albufeira

We always wanted a "home away from home" and have converted the apartment to be very welcoming as though it were our home. We wanted somewhere that was close to Albufeira but not right in the centre as we felt more at home in a rural, village area, which we believe we have achieved.

This apartment was chosen as we felt it had plenty of space, a garden to relax in and was very close to the pool so we could have sight of the children. The Quinta dos Alamos complex of apartments and villas is brilliantly situated close to the beaches, the Algarve shopping centre, Sir Cliff Richard's winery, many restaurants, water parks and Zoomarine, one of the top attractions in the Algarve.

Golf is also very popular for our family so that was another consideration and with so many courses, access was easy from Guia.

So, for us, it ticked all the boxes and we went ahead with buying it very quickly after two viewings.

What makes this apartment unique

Cheaper than most villas advertised, we have pretty much all modern conveniences one could want. So centrally located means that there are many places to see and visit with Guia as your base.

Apart from all amenities, we have an allotted parking space, excellent local agents who maintain the apartment for us, it is very quiet and really it is for those who want to "get away from it all" as we did all those years ago and still do every year.

Great apartment

Great communication with Leigh from our first enquiry and throughout. On arrival we found the property to be bright and airy with everything we needed, very clean and well maintained. The outside area was a plus as it was large enough to feel comfortable with a bbq corner, which we made use of and we ate out on the terrase everyday. The pool area was great as some of our party went in, very large clean pool and well cared for. All the 3 bed rooms are very clean and spacious, beds very comfortable. We ask for a cot the next day and it was put up couple of hours later, great service.

The cleaners were very friendly.

The only thing we all thinks should change is the kitchen door as it open on the fridge door, not very practical. Thank you, we had a great time and well relax as it was very quiet area

I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment and would definitely stay here again if we return to Portugal.

Lovely,comfortable apartment

Stayed here for a week,this time with our son,his wife,our daughter,son-in-law & 10 month old baby.We all really enjoyed the break & cannot fault the apartment. The only downside was incredibly hot weather ( around 36-38 degrees) all week. Even the locals were struggling!! Of course no can do anything about the weather but perhaps a small fan to use in the sitting / dining room would help when it is so very hot.

We will certainly use the apartment again & will recommend to friends.

Cliffs Vida Nova Wine tour

The apartment was in a residential area and a car was necessary which we did not have. Taxis were required for most of the journeys (although we walked into Guia quite comfortably), but proved very reasonable as there were six of us in the party. For our short stay the apartment was adequate and clean. The pool was too cold for most of our party to use but would probably prove refreshing in the hotter season. We could not use the safe as it had been left open but in a locked position but we managed without it quite successfully. We did notice a rather annoying design fault with the kitchen door opening towards the fridge so that if you were getting something out of the fridge and someone came into the kitchen there could be a collision of doors!!!!! On a very positive note the garden was a real bonus in the apartment and the rooms suited our party for the short stay and the reason we went to Portugal which was to see Cliff Richards villa, tour the winery, have photos with Sir Cliff and to go on a boat trip around the coast. All of which we thoroughly enjoyed. We found the ideal restaurant in Guia which was named IDEAL where the staff were friendly and prices were good and they even sold Cliff's wine VIDA NOVA.

Home from home ( & much better weather!! )

Had a lovely holiday in this very comfortable apartment. Everything was there to make it like home from home. Been staying in Guia for the last 30 years & this is one of the best apartments we have had. Lovely,comfortable beds,comfy sofas & a very peaceful location. Fantastic weather. great family apartment .

Me and my family had a great time at this apartment. Its very spacious and has everything you need and more. The welcome pack was a nice touch and a help . The plastic plates ect were ideal for the kids and we enjoyed the bbq . All in all we had a great time and would happily go back .
