Looking for a quiet, peaceful, spacious holiday apartment with a lovely view but close to beaches, restaurants and bars? Looking for somewhere with really comfortable beds, good quality linens, a huge furnished terrace with a view, reliable fast WiFi, and UK and international television? Looking for a well equipped kitchen, elegant furniture, and lots of space? Well, you may have found your perfect holiday rental in our San Roque apartment.

Overlooking the 13th hole of the Old San Roque Golf course, the apartment offers all of the above and more. Situated in a gated community with supermarket, restaurants, pools, tennis, horse-riding and of course 2 golf courses, the apartment is brand new for 2015 and is light,bright and stylishly furnished.

The large communal pool is surrounded by extensive lawns and has sunloungers for free use. The pool is manned by a lifeguard from May to Oct and at present is available during these months only.

the outside terrace is huge, with lovely views and stunning sunsets and moon-rises.

the kitchen has Siemens appliances and is very well equipped - air fryer, rice cooker, wok, multi-blender etc. etc.

the apartment is very elegant with marble floors and beautiful furniture

there are games, books, DVDs and a PS3 for children

the San Roque Club is beautifully maintained with, of course, 2 award winning golf courses (but you really don't have to play - we don't!)

there is a huge swimming pool with a life guard in high season and sun loungers

the apartment is very spacious- 354 sq m- with a huge lounge for formal dining, a large kitchen for informal dining, and 3 large bedrooms.

the apartment is equipped with electric shutters and canopies, underfloor heating in the bathrooms, central air-con and heating

Underground parking with remote control access

We bought this apartment whilst still living in Hong Kong after looking for the ideal place in Spain for over 10 years.

Why The Owner chose San Roque

The apartment itself is very large, well built with excellent finishing's, marble floors, good quality bathroom fittings, granite kitchens, integral heating and air con, electric shutters and so on . We loved the large terrace overlooking the golf course and cork forests. We also liked the fact that the surroundings are very quiet and peaceful but we also have high quality restaurants on site.

What makes this apartment unique

We love the area, we can be on an almost deserted beach within 5 minutes or equally we can be on one with beach bars and restaurants, and blow up activity areas in the sea within the same 5 minutes. There are marinas in Sotogrande and low cost shops in Gibraltar. Fantastic restaurants and lots of see and do makes it perfect for us and our guests

A month in San Roque

We used this lovely apartment as a base to travel around Andalucia in October. The accommodation is spacious, beautifully furnished and well equipped - including all up to date technology, WiFi, Sky TV channels. etc. There is also an excellent maid service available on request which we used several times. It is situated in a country club setting with large terraces overlooking the golf course. The on-site faciliites - golf club, restaurants and gym were also convenient and useful. We particularly enjoyed the local Italian restaurant Bucintoro. The apartment is a short drive to good supermarkets and to the beach at Alcadeisa. We used the San Roque - La Linea train - just 15 minutes drive, to travel to Ronda, Cordoba and Seville and booked train tickets online through Renfe. This was a wonderful holiday and we would highly recommend this apartment.

Nice apartment overlooking San Roque golf course

This is a nice modern apartment on San Roque Golf Estate. The apartment was clean and is a nice size with 3 reasonably sized bedrooms with plenty of storage space and 2 nice bathrooms. Good sized lounge and kitchen and seemed to have all that is required for a self catering holiday. It has a lovely terrace with a good view that is in the sun all day from about 1030. There was a problem with the wifi and TV which only worked 3 of the 7 days we were there. Pauline who is the contact in Spain was excellent and tried really hard to solve the problem. The swimming pool was not open. It is only open during the summer months?. Enjoyed our holiday and would definitely consider staying at this apartment again if visiting this area.

Owner's Response: Thanks Jonathan for the review and you would be more than welcome to return! Unfortunately the internet supplier stopped our service without warning. Pauline was an absolute star getting a new supplier as soon as she did. I am really sorry about the lack of service during your stay. We now have a new supply with Orange and all seems to be well. Due to new country-wide regulations the pool cannot be used without 2 lifeguards being in attendance. This regulation has only recently been implemented in San Roque and I am not happy about it either. The pool is manned and can be used from the second week in June to the 3rd week in September.

Brand new luxurious apartment

We had the pleasure of staying in this apartment just after it was completed. It is furnished to an exacting standard- it is like something out of a magazine or show home. Everything is of a very high quality- the beds are comfortable, the sofa is lovely, the kitchen is well equipped. The wifi is surprisingly fast although there was one outage of 5 minutes or so. we all had ipads, phones and 2 laptops and there was no problem. The view from the huge terrace is wonderful and all you can hear is birdsong and braying donkeys!

The complex was very quiet when we were there however we were told that it is busier in July and especially August. We enjoyed the large pool to ourselves everyday- it was sparkling clean and a very nice tempertaure. Walking in the community was a pleasure- almost no traffic and lovely flowers, bushes, orange and lemon trees everywhere. We visited tarifa- great tapas in the bars beside the cobbles at the main church with the bells, Sotogrande- very posh marina, Estepona- great promenade for walking along with lots of bars and restaurants and Gibraltar. There is a huge shopping centre 20 minutes from the apartment where unfortunately there was a primark and HM- the prices were the same in euros as pounds which I am told saved me loads! Hmmm! Highly recommended apartment and location
