Well equipped ground floor 2 bedroomed apartment - 1 double, 1 bunks (no natural light), single sofa bed in lounge area. Larger than average kitchen area, shower room, separate toilet. Storage area for Bikes/Skis etc.

Access to WIFI, UK sky TV only.

Peaceful location just a few minutes stroll from the centre of St. Jean with it's shops, bars, restaurants etc. or a short walk to the Abbey in the opposite direction.

5 minutes to the 'tete d'elephant' climbing wall and via ferrata.

Easy access to cycling and walking paths.

Just 10 minutes by car to Morzine, regular bus route nearby.

PLEASE NOTE: Bedlinen and Towels can be provided if required - 20 euros for the double and 10 euros for each single to cover laundry costs.

End of Stay cleaning can be provided at a flat fee of 50 euros if you do not wish to leave the apartment exactly how you found it.

About Maxine Stuttard

We are a family of 3, living and working full time in the area since 2013. For almost 10 years prior to this we lived and worked in a small village called Bitem, on the river Ebro, 2 hrs south of Barcelona. Our daughter is now 'living the dream' as a ski instructor.

It is just 10 minutes drive from Morzine and it's hustle and bustle - so much more peaceful, but close enough to head in for supper or drinks in the evening.

Great apartment in good location

The apartment is well equipped, clean and nicely furnished. The bedrooms are a decent size and the double bedroom felt spacious. We are a family of four and had a comfortable stay here. Maxine was very welcoming and helpful. It is well located for the shops and restaurants in the village (a short walk) and easy access to the river path which you can walk or cycle on all the way to Morzine. There is also a cross country MTB route which goes through neighbouring villages. I would recommend the apartment to others!

What a fantastic apartment !!

What can I say, we had a fantastic holiday and much of that was down to our apartment, Maxine and her family. Having been on a fair few skiing holidays we were very pleased to find the apartment very cosy, bright and far bigger than we had expected. Maxine, Jez and Nicole were fantastic hosts, nothing was too much and Nicole even baby sat my kids one night to let me go out (according to the kids it was the best night if the holiday !!) The village has a small supermarket, a couple of really good pubs and good bus service up to Morzine, Avoriaz and the Grand Terche. In short very happy to recommend.

A éviter !!

Nous sommes partis dès le lendemain après avoir constaté à l'arrivée (clef dans boite, aucun état des lieux) que le logement possède une chambre sans fenêtre, ce qui est Illégal à la location en France. Un fort taux d'humidité (draps et serviettes humides) régnait la nuit avec une température de 17°C tout au plus; les coussins sont moisis, preuve d'un manque de ventilation (salle d'eau, sanitaire sans fenêtres).

Un dossier avec photos à l'appui a été constitué. Mon fils est tombé malade. J'ai essayé de joindre en vain la propriétaire. Homelidays aussi pour tenter une médiation. Je me suis rendue à la mairie du village et l'office de tourisme. Cette dame, qui collecte la taxe de séjour, n'est pas enregistrée pour la collecte de la taxe, auprès de la Mairie.... Nous sommes rentrés chez nous dès le lendemain faute de logements vacants dans la vallée en plein mois d'août. Je précise qu'à notre arrivée, j'ai du faire le ménage au vu de l'état non acceptable de propreté (miettes sur le plan de travail de la cuisine, réfrigérateur non nettoyé, sols poussiéreux et araignées). Comble de l’accueil, quelques jours avant cette dame nous réclamait des prestations complémentaires qui étaient inclus dans l'annonce (drap, serviette, ménage) et le jour même comble de la radinerie, seul un rouleau vide de papier toilette avec une feuille de 10cm avait été laissé; certains équipements présents dans l'annonce (lave linge notamment) n'y sont pas. la TV ne fonctionne que sur des chaines étrangères et nous n'avons jamais réussi à la faire fonctionner. Quand à notre arrivée, je lui ai signalé mon étonnement de ne pas avoir de chaines françaises dans un village de Haute-Savoie, je me suis entendue dire que nous devrions nous mettre à cette langue étrangère ! Depuis, impossible d'obtenir un remboursement. Nous en sommes à attenter une action auprès des services d'état français. En résumé, si vous cherchez un endroit confortable, accueillant dans un village typique de Haute-Savoie, fuyez !!

Excellent séjour

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour,

Accueil très sympathique des propriétaires qui sont facilement joignable, logement fonctionnel et très agréable. Nous n'hésiterons pas a y retouner, ni à recommander cette location.

très bien

logement très agréable très bien pour 4 personnes bien situe 2 petits bémol la table un peu petite pour 4 et la marche pour rejoindre la chambre un peu trop haute voir pour une contre marche les propriétaires sont très accueillants très bon séjour près a revenir merci

Owner's Response: Merci beaucoup pour voter commentaires. oui la table est un peu petite, mais une plus grande table prendrait la pièce. La Marcus est élevé en raison de grosses roches souterraines et nous avons senti que deux marches basses peuvent être plus dangereux. Nous attendons de vous revoir.
