Just a 10 min stroll from the heart of the historic Victorian Spa town of Bridge of Allan, yet located on a quiet leafy street, Allan Stream Apartment offers luxurious newly modernised and tastefully decorated self catering facilities for up to four people.

This two bedroom, one bathroom, lower garden conversion of a Victorian Villa, offers a perfect retreat after a busy day’s sightseeing in the local area with off street parking for one car and a shared Courtyard garden.

Accessed down a flight of original stone steps, the one level accommodation comprises a Living room with original fireplace and table and seating for 4 people, two large double bedrooms one of which has the flexibility of being either a zip and link super king size or two single beds, bathroom with over bath shower and a modern kitchen with washing machine dishwasher and full size fridge freezer.

Bridge of Allan’s restaurants, bars and shops are within a 10 minute walk of the apartment. The train station, only being a 15 min walk from the property, gives direct access to Glasgow, Perth and Edinburgh – renowned for its famous Fringe Festival throughout the month of August. Stirling City centre is 3 miles away with frequent bus and train services on offer from Bridge of Allan.

For golf lovers Gleneagles is a short 20 minute drive away with St Andrews, home to The Open 2015 in July, only being an hour’s drive from the apartment.

With the Trossachs and Loch Lomond National Park both being only a short drive away you will not be disappointed by the wealth of beautiful scenery in the area.

Location

Allanstream Apartment is located in the historic Victorian spa town of Bridge of Allan, recently awarded Best Small Town in Scotland in 2010, 2011 and runner-up in 2012.

Bridge of Allan has a wide variety of cafes, restaurants, boutiques and shops whilst being surrounded by spectacular scenery. There are numerous places of historic interest nearby including the magnificent Stirling Castle and Wallace Monument, and Stirling City centre is only 5 minutes away by car.

Other facilities available in the area include golf clubs, fishing, horse riding and the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.

Great apartment in excellent location

The apartment was perfectly located in Bridge of Allan. It was also very well equipped, very clean with very comfortable beds. It was a perfect place for us to stay with our young daughter.

Disappointing stay

The most frustrating part of the stay was when we arrived at check in time there was no key in the box. We had to wait 30 minutes for someone to show up with a key to let us in and we had groceries thawing out in the car.

The apartment is really a basement apartment with windows in a well in the ground. It was deeper in the ground than I expected from the pictures. As such the apartment smelled dank.

The furniture in the living room was old, dinged up and the seats on the sofa were very poor. The stuffing was worn out. The beds were OK fortunately.

The kitchen was nice enough except that it was very difficult to get into the refrigerator the way the door opened and the fact that the trash can was in front of it as was the door out of the kitchen.

The bathroom felt dirty to me, but I know it had been cleaned. It was just old except for the tub enclosure. The shower head was weak. But I am from the United States so I am used to better shower heads.

It was nice to have both a washer and dryer, but it would have been nice to be told the the dryer was behind baby furniture in a closet. We didn't realize it was there at first.

The first night we froze to death because the heat wasn't running and the book indicated that the water for the heat and the hot water was always turned on and that you controlled it from the individual radiators. Nothing mentioned that to get the heat to run you had to turn the unit on inside another closet. Which we found after hunting around. Once we did that, we were fine.

It was a very nice neighborhood and we enjoyed walks around the neighborhood after dinner.

Great!

We had a great time, lovely house, beautiful neighbourhood, woods behind te house, close to a co-op for our groceries and all that is nice with a one-year-old! Stunning walking paths in the highlands after a short car drive. Bit disapointed that the fireplace wasn't working, but nevertheless a great holiday! Thank you.

Great location!

Clean, large and comfortable apartment in a wonderful location. Bridge of Allan is a beautiful little town! Apartment is walking distance to restaurants and train station. Very close drive to Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle.

    At end of your stay, the good housekeeping deposit is refunded onto the card used to make the balance payment. Please ensure that this card is valid beyond your departure date to enable this refund. Failure to use a card valid beyond departure date will incur bank charges to process the refund to International bank accounts.



    Please note that if your booking is placed less than 6 weeks before arrival date full payment must be made on booking.

    BY BOOKING AND MAKING PAYMENT YOU ARE ACCEPTING THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT/CANCELLATION :



    Deposit, security payment and payment



    1. A 50% non refundable deposit has been made by you. This is to secure your booking and represents a booking that will be fully confirmed on receipt of the remainder of the letting fee before or on the date given above.

    2. Confirmation of the booking will normally be made to you within seven days of receipt of the full payment.

    3. Full payment is required 6 weeks prior to the rental period.

    4. If a booking is made less than 6 weeks prior to the rental period, full payment plus a breakages/damage deposit is required to secure the booking.

    5. A refundable breakages/damages deposit has been made. This is to cover any breakages or damage whilst staying in the apartment. It will be returned after the rental period following a complete and satisfactory check of the inventory and property.This can take up to 7 days to show in your account.

    6. Full details of how to get to the house and where the key can be collected will be sent to the person making the booking after full payment has been received and no sooner than 2 weeks before the date of entry.

    7. The owners reserve the right to cancel the booking if payment is not received by the due date.



    Changes to the booking dates



    1. Any change can be made to the booking (subject to availability) before 6 weeks with no charges. However changes may be subject to necessary changes in rental period charges

    2. Any changes to bookings made with less than 6 weeks to booking are made at the owner's discretion and subject to necessary changes in rental period charges.

    3. All changes made with less than 6 weeks to the rental period are subject to a standard charge of £50 or currency equivalent.



    Cancellation Charges



    The client may cancel the booking at any time after it has been confirmed.

    Cancellation must be made in writing.

    Cancellation charges are as follows

    Less than 6 weeks – loss of total rental value, however good housekeeping deposit will be returned.

    More than 6 weeks - loss of 50% non refundable deposit made on booking.

    Please Note: if the owners are able to re-book the cancelled dates, all rental monies paid will be refunded minus a 20% administration fee for each portion of nights rebooked, irrespective of when the booking is cancelled.

  • Contractual booking deposit: 50.00% rent
  • Damage deposit: £150.00
