Overview

About the property

Apartment, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps up to 5 guests)

BONJOUR Paris! because it dates from the dawn of Paris.

Few apartments in Paris combine authentic wood beams and stones walls dating back the medieval ages. No expenses were spared to implement floor lights to highlight the beauty of the archeological walls; coupled with Louis XV mirrors and chandeliers. Back in times, it was occupied by the King's Knights.

This apartment is quiet, although located in one of the most visited street of Paris, Rue St Severin, steps from Notre-Dame, in the heart of historical Paris.

There is a King size bed and a double-bed in the bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped. The bathroom has a bathtub with shower. For those who really want to sample a flavor of Paris, BONJOUR PARIS! will be a true authentic Parisian experience!

LOCATION:

Contrary to their claim of being in the true center of Paris, most Hotels and apartments are not. Apply the 1-minute-rule, ask are any studio you want less than 1-minute-walk from the river? This studio is less than a minute walk, steps from the river in the historic heart-of-the-heart of Paris. Arguably the most lovely location in Paris, because a walk at midnight over the magic bridges will allow you to soak the wonders of Paris then walk safely home, after dark among all the tourists in the brightly lit streets lined with shops, bakeries, cafe and restaurants and opened late.

HIDDEN SAVINGS:

You will also save money. First by walking everywhere and avoid taxis and / or public transportation. Secondly, you will save money on food, the apartment is near a fantastic SUPER Gourmet Stores and famous fresh market “Marche Maubert” known to Parisians mainly, which offers the most delicious fresh and cooked food, cheese, bread and finest wines.

LE METRO

1 Minute walk to subway St Michel and 2 min. walk to RER B direct line to CDG Aiport.

Best location!

  • 5 of 5

We traveled to Paris for a little less than a week and the location of this condo was perfect for a short trip as it is conveniently located near several of the attractions we wanted to see. It is a 2 minute walk to Notre-Dame de Paris and in the heart of a vibrant neighborhood with restaurants, souvenir shops, bakeries, pharmacies, groceries and bars. Despite its location, the studio is very quiet and we felt safe and secure within the building with 3 layers of locking doors (we were 3 women traveling together). Claude and his assistant Shen were very responsive and great providing detailed instructions and recommendations before we arrived in Paris. We will only keep great memories of this trip!

Small but in an awesome location.

  • 4 of 5

I loved the location, close to many restaurants, shops and metro stations. We felt safe and really enjoyed this side of Paris. Even though it's in a busy area, the apartment is tucked back in the building far enough to where you can't hear any street noise. The apartment overall was good, but a little cold and they did not have proper comforters for the beds. Just a single blanket for each bed that did not keep us warm enough. Also, you can see through the window into the shower from the other apartments more than one might like.

Owner's Response: Oh! dear...we are so sorry you have not told us you were cold.....Malynn you could have asked for more blanket no reason to be cold in June. We are happy that you have enjoyed your stay with your family of five. And equally enjoyed the fabulous location which is also the safest in Paris for tourists. And you are back home safe. We would be honored to have you again, but next time warmer! God bless

We loved this apartment! It was so close to Paris attractions, restaurants, and grocery shopping, that it saved us many Euros in daily expenses.

The look and feel of the apartment are very special--tres Parisien et ancien! The kitchen was well-equipped , the shower was hot, and the beds were comfortable.

Claude and his assistant, Shen, were SO helpful before our visit. We had no trouble finding or accessing the unit. We felt vey, very safe.

Most highly recommended!

Did not love the area

  • 3 of 5

So this review is a little different, because we actually rented this place, but were told last minute that there was some water damage and we would not be able to stay here. They provided us with accommodations right around the corner, so I can't comment on this apartment, but can comment on the area.

For me, this was probably one of the worst places we could have chosen to stay. If you have visited San Francisco and are familiar with it (I used to live there), I would liken this neighborhood to Fisherman's Wharf. Super touristy, streets lined with tons of sub par restaurants where the owner's try to pull you in to their place literally about every 5 steps you take.

So, take my review with a grain of salt, because, I realize that many people like to stay in places like this, but personally would have loved for someone to tell me what this was really like before choosing it. I would never recommend it to a friend or go back. We visited Marais several times which was much more our style (again SF reference), think Marina district.

Owner's Response: We beg to differ with the opinion of our distinguished guest Mr. Toni Filly of California. Safety is the prime concern in these troubled times. Fact 1: About 80 million tourists visited this location every year for its unequal beauty and history, more than any other location in Europe. But large number of tourist is a “positive” because there is safety in numbers. We have a property in the 5th, 8th, 9th and 18 districts but we do not rent them to tourists who are always more noticeable and vulnerable. We only rent 6 studios and only in this location. Fact 2: Petty crime against tourists happen in subways, this location allows to walk everywhere and avoid the subways. Fact 3: This location is prime as it is within walking-distance to all the tourist sites. A stroll along the river Seine after dark is a beauty unrivaled by any other means to enjoy Paris. Finally, it is undisputed that San Francisco mentioned by our distinguished guest is currently plagued with homeless and crimes on every corner and it is a rich ironic that the “Fisherman's wharf” berated by our guest is in fact the safest location for tourists to have a peaceful walk relying, again on the safety in numbers. The World has changed. But it remains beautiful. We must fully enjoy it while being aware and safe for our loved ones. God bless.
