This spacious, well-equipped holiday cottage is located in the historic and picturesque town of Dornoch, only a 10 minute walk from an award-winning sandy beach and 5 minutes from the Royal Dornoch Golf Course.
With three bedrooms, a conservatory dining room, comfortable living areas and a large private garden, Cathy's Cottage is ideal for family or group holidays in the Highlands. Children can play safely in the garden and families will enjoy the proximity to the beautiful Dornoch Beach.
With its convenient location near the town centre, the shops, restaurants and cafes are on your doorstep. The town is surrounded by stunning coastline and countryside – the Dornoch Firth is a designated National Scenic Area and the area is known for its miles of lovely sandy beaches.
Accommodation & Facilities
Lounge/diner: ample seating, TV with Sky channels. Conservatory dining room attached to lounge with dining table and seating for six.
Twin bedroom: two single beds, bedside cabinets, built-in wardrobe. Access to Jack and Jill shower room with plumbed shower.
Kitchen: fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, Welsh dresser with a range of crockery and cutlery.
Master bedroom: spacious bedroom with queen bed, bedside cabinets and dressing table.
Twin bedroom: twin beds, wardrobe, dressing table.
Family bathroom: bath with overhead shower, hand basin, WC.
The cottage has a large secure back garden with patio furniture. There is parking at the front and the side of the cottage.
Bed linen, towels, electricity, Wi-Fi internet access and heating oil are included in the price.
The property is stocked with a starter supply of kitchen and bathroom supplies.
No smoking is permitted within the holiday home.
Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome at an additional cost of £20 per dog.
BRILLIANT that`s all we can say a very spacious cottage and good sized garden only a few minutes walk from the town,golf club and beach.All the rooms were of a good size and plenty of room to move about in the cottage and are already planning our return.
We had a family reunion/holiday in Dornoch and thankfully we selected Cathy's Cottage for our stay. It is in a perfect position and was excellent for our needs and comfort. It is very well laid out with very high quality fittings and fixtures including comfortable beds, lovely lounge and dining room and a fabulous large garden, with garden furniture that we managed to use in the sunshine most days! I would recommend it to anyone and look forward to making a return visit soon.
Cathy's Cottage looks very modest from the front. In fact we had passed it on many occasions over the years without really noticing it. However, once through the front door it turns out to be a spacious, comfortable, well-equipped and well-furnished house with an excellent garden. Everything that we needed was provided and most convenient. The beds were of a good quality, especially the large double in the downstairs bedroom. It was excellent for popping along to the shops or for a meal at one of Dornoch's many good eateries. All in all, an extremely enjoyable stay.
Would happily stay here again, a comfortable layout throughout the house, ideal location for the beach and town centre and great garden for dog owners.
Great place for a break house has all the amenities that could possibly be required. Garden is enclosed so great for dogs & children. Right next to Dornoch golf club, beach & town centre so perfect.
Would use it more often but limited availability for the rest of the year.
Follow the A9 north from Inverness over the Kessock Bridge and continue towards Invergordon and Tain. After Tain take the second exit at the Dornoch Bridge roundabout across the bridge and continue on the A9. Take the A949 to Dornoch and drive into the town centre, passing the 'Jail' shop on your right and the cathedral on your left. At the end of the square turn right at the T junction and follow the road to River Street (approximately 200 metres). Cathy's Cottage is on the right.
