About the property

Spacious family villa with 3 air-conditioned bedrooms, one with on-suite bathroom, situated less than 100m from the beach. Having a walled front garden with entrances into the bedrooms and an open plan modern kitchen lounge, with a further garden and patio area to the back. ‘Casa Jamila’ in situated in the quiet hamlet of Costacabana with a small number of bars, restaurants and a shop, with its own palm lined promenade in one direction, whilst in the other an unspoiled beach with no buildings stretching off to fisherman’s boats in the far distance. Only a 15mins regular bus ride away, is the historic town of Almeria with its Alcazaba Europe’s largest Moorish fortress, affording amazing views overlooking the old town with its fascinating warren of streets and alleyways with many historic buildings, shops and bars. Modern Almeria offers a wealth of shops and entertainments, including La Liga Almeria FC and a Bull Ring. For those looking for an idyllic beach retreat you will find some of the most stunningly beautiful and unspoiled beaches in Spain, just half an hour’s drive away in the Reserve Natural Cabo de Gata, fantastic for nature lovers and for the more energetic there are also wonderful walks, mountain biking, horse riding, canoeing and trekking available.

Toya Golf & Country Club just 5mins by car from the villa, has a first class golf course in beautiful surroundings including many restaurants and bars along a beach promenade.

High season summer lets are for a minimum of two weeks, shorter lets are available in low season.

About Martin & Rhona

Ours is a family owned villa, head of which is Maggie who has been coming to 'Casa Jamila' for many many years. Now the villa is being looked after by her younger family members who have in recent years fully refurbished and modernized it.

Lovely Spanish Villa

Casa Jamila is a a lovely relaxing home which is modern without losing is Spanish character. Costacabana is a great location when visiting Almeria and the bus service to town is frequent and reliable.

The beach is great and has a lovely walkway which links into town.

Perfect holiday home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Jamila and haven't felt so relaxed in years. We did think we would have to venture out to Almeria town quite a lot but the villa and Costacabana had everything we needed although we did explore the town one day as the bus stop is just a few minutes walk away and oe a very short journey to town. We can't thank Martin and family enough for allowing us to share their Spanish home, communication was 10/10 from start to finish. Muchas Gracias from Gail and Marco, June 2018

Ideal place to stay

Great location, not too far to amenities, car is a must although a local bus takes you to almeria city.

Lovely clean homely villa that is very well equipped.

Very neat to airport but no noise , conveniently located to major roads for all other parts of almeria.would recommend

It was ideally situated and had every com excect for Air Con . It's a must really in Summer Months

Our only complaint was the lack of Air Con which is essential in Summer months . There was a fan and ceiling fans but these fans were of no use . However, we loved everything else , plenty of towels, fridge , etc and cool breeze in garden .

Very enjoyable stay.

Villa was as explained in advert, plenty of room as there was only the two of us.

The inside was very clean and tidy. The lady who looks after the Villa does a very good job and was very helpful.

We were in Casa Jamila for 12 days and enjoyed the stay very much. Nice beaches in the Cabo de Gata near St. Jose in about 30 min by car. City of Almeria with lots of Tapas near by. Before going there we worried a bit about the airport however that is no problem because there are very few planes only which really do not disturb. In the house there is all what is necessary for daily life.
