Hove-To is a ground-floor apartment at Helford Passage, just moments away from the Ferryboat Inn and beach. It's decorated throughout in warm cream which brings out the richness of the parquet flooring and natural wood furniture. Some of the artwork has a nautical theme, and others depict the history of the area.
As you first enter the apartment, you'll notice the large living area with its beautifully maintained wood flooring and open granite fireplace. This was the Ferryboat Hotel's Cocktail Lounge back in the 1940s, so as you sip a glass of wine in the evening, you might just be standing in the same spot as Edward and Mrs Simpson, just one famous couple who were known to frequent the hotel. Back to Hove-To though, there are two large comfy sofas and a log-burning stove in the living area, making this a great choice all year round. We'll even pop in a bag of logs to get you started. The dining area has great views of the river, and comfortably sits six for family suppers or a challenging game of Scrabble.
You'll find the kitchen on the courtyard side of the apartment. It's beautifully equipped with everything you'll need to keep the family fed and watered for the week, including a combined washer dryer. The kitchen has granite work tops and a breakfast bar for early morning coffee and croissants.
Hove-To has three bedrooms: the master bedroom has a king-size bed, and a newly refurbished en-suite shower room. There are twin beds in the second bedroom, and a set of bunks in the third. All rooms have built in wardrobes and plenty of drawer space. The beds are dressed in crisp white linen. The family bathroom has a bath and overhead electric shower so there is plenty of hot water for everyone. Both bedrooms have heated towel rails to keep your towels warm and dry. As an added bonus, we are now supplying each guest with one bath and one hand towel, free of charge.Outside, you'll find a patio area, complete with a wooden table and chairs. You'll be facing the river, so the views are quite beautiful. It truly is a lovely spot to relax over the morning newspapers.
And for bookings of one week or more, we'll have a welcome pack ready for your arrival - a bottle of locally made Helford Creek fruit juice, Cornish filter coffee, Smugglers tea, Cornish biscuits, a few sugar sachets and a pint of milk, plus, as an extra gift from the owner, a bottle of red wine, purchased from the Wine Society.
You'll have shared use of the heated outdoor swimming pool, and there is one designated space in the residents' car park. Please note, that like most of our Helford Passage properties, you will need to leave your car in the car park and walk down a flight of steps to access your property. You can, however, drive through the complex and pull up outside Hove-To for unloading your suitcases or shopping.
There is a returnable £100 deposit against damages on this property.
