A wonderful stay

  • 5 of 5

Over the years we have stayed in a lot of self catering properties and Croabhan Cottage is one of the best. Danny and Annette are fantastic hosts. The setting is beautiful and we loved watching the birds and the squirrels at the feeders while we were having our meals. The cottage is scrupulously clean and comfortable and has all you need for your holiday. We had a fantastic time exploring the area and I am sure we will return in the future.

First class accommodation and location with excellent hosts.

  • 5 of 5

From first impressions to packing up to go we were very impressed with Craobhan Cottage. First class accommodation with lots of lovely little extras:- flowers, wine, biscuits and even some fresh milk in the fridge. The cottage is very well laid out and finished to a very high standard. Our host could not have been more welcoming and helpful, even popping in to let me know there was a lovely sunset developing if we wanted pictures. Stunning views, lots of birds, rabbits & even a red squirrel visiting the garden. Centrally located, only an hour or so from Torridon and all the hills you wanted to climb or 10 mins from Inverness if you wanted the city life, but a very quiet, secluded location.

Home from Home

Our second visit to Craobhan Cottage and once again it lived up to expectations. The cottage is immaculate, with Danny and Annette having carefully considered everything that would be required to make any stay memorable. With its close proximity to the A9, Craobhan Cottage is in an ideal location for exploring the North of Scotland in all directions.

My wife and I enjoyed a very relaxing stay and we look forward to returning to Craobhan Cottage once again

A great getaway cottage in a beautiful spot on the Black Isle.

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at Craobhan 3 times now. It is in a great out of the way spot where we can enjoy the surrounding wildlife. Hosts Danny & Annette provide a well equipped comfortable cottage in a beautiful quiet location. We are able to explore the Black Isle and beyond from Craobhan and look forward to our return.

Location

Car: necessary

From Inverness follow the A9 north over the Kessock Bridge to the Tore roundabout. Take the third exit north towards Thurso and Wick and continue for three miles. Turn right to Culbokie on the B9169. Drive through the village and turn right beside the football and recreation grounds as you leave the village. Continue for approximately 1.5 miles and then turn left towards Culbo. After another 1.5 miles take a left at the Craobhan Cottage sign. Follow the road round to the left - the cottage is a short distance along the private track.
