|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
Casa da Mariquinhas -Typical Apartment is a 3-floor historic house. It has two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower cabin, and a living room with kitchen and dining space. It’s located in one of the most famous sights of Lisbon, inside of Saint George’s Castle, in a narrow picturesque street filled with Portuguese history.
The neighborhood is very quiet during the day and at night. It’s a charming place where you can even sometimes hear roosters and peacocks making you feel as if you’re in a small village.
From this location, it’s easy to reach to many others important sights, but also to reach transportation to other wonderful places around Lisbon such as Cascais, Sintra, Costa da Caparica or Cabo da Roca.
The apartment is equipped with two double beds, two single beds and a sofa bed in the living room which can as well be used if there are more than 6 people. Clean bed linen and towels will also wait for you when you arrive.

I'm a fan of travels that falls in love for the beautiful city of Lisbon.
Rui Baptista purchased this house in 2015
We spent a very pleasant time in Lisbon and especially in "a casa de Mariquinhas". The house is confortable, very clean and modern for five people, typical from portuguese style (interior and exterior), very quiet during the night (even if located in a very touristic place) and close to downtown (10 mns by foot with the stairs). We received a friendly welcome from Rui who was very helpful at arrival and departure (and at the time of the reservation). We can easily recommend this accomodation for 4 to 5 persons max (small shower room and small open kitchen in the living room).
Near Lisbon there three places you should not miss:
1st. Cascais - Catching the train that runs every 30 minutes or so, you can quickly reach Cascais. The train makes a breathtaking journey along the Atlantic coast where you can see a wide variety of beaches. The main sites are: Oeiras, Carcavelos, Estoril (where the famous Casino).
In Cascais, you can visit some museums, such as the 'House of Stories of the painter Paula Rego,' or do activities such as golf, sail, windsurf, horse riding and cycling along the sea.
2nd. Sintra - World Heritage, continues to delight us with his Mystic, the Pena Palace, the Moorish Castle, Regaleira Estate, Capuchin Convent, the Palace of Monserrate, etc.. Easy access by train from Rossio station.
3rd. Beaches of Costa de Caparica, is part of a set of beautiful golden beaches that stretch along 15 kilometers. Most beaches have lifeguard during the summer, bars and parking. There is a train that operates solely in the summer months, by which you can stroll along the beaches. You can get to the Costa da Caparica by bus or ferry boat.
