Our home is situated in the Kawama Tower at Kawama Yacht Club in legendary Key Largo and is modern and spacious with modern furnishings. A combination of beautifully maintained gardens, picturesque pools including two tiled pools. These are heated in winter, cooled in summer. Beach and waterfront area with South Seas Style Tikki Huts. There's a fishing pier and adjacent wading flats. There are all weather tennis courts, a Saltwater Lagoon, Children’s play area, and other superb facilities. Parking is close by and free. The community has a security gate to ensure privacy and control access. The combination of amenities makes this an ideal location as a base for a family holiday in South Florida.

We are also centrally located to explore the unique Florida Keys as well as the Everglades and Miami’s attractions.

We pride ourselves on ensuring our home is very well decorated and maintained.

Situated on the southern tip of Key Largo on the Atlantic Ocean. The locality of Kawama Tower at Kawama Yacht Club is probably one of the most beautiful you could hope to find. For the discerning visitor seeking that holiday of a lifetime in the unique Florida Keys.

Our home benefits from being really quiet – at 3/4 mile off US1, and literally on the Ocean, it is a peaceful setting on an unspoilt peninsular between the virgin habitat of a bird sanctuary to the south and the beautifully preserved John Pennekamp Marine Coral State Park to the north. The community is gated for privacy and enjoys 24hr security.

Our Key Largo Holiday Rental home is fully air conditioned and all on one level with Tiled floors for hygiene throughout. We have a Queen size bed in the master bedroom. There are 2 x full size doubles in the second bedroom. All beds have quality posture-pedic mattresses. Soft furnishings such as bed sheets, covers and bath towels are of high quality to ensure so you’ll enjoy the touch of a little luxury whilst on vacation. We replace these annually so they are always in good condition.

There is comfortable sleeping for six guests. There is also the useful option of accommodating two more people on a pull-out double sofa bed in the lounge, sometimes useful for mixed family groups.

We also provide a fold-away cot and high chair for a family with a small infant.

Both bedrooms have full en-suite bathrooms with the master being luxuriously appointed with walk-in double shower and fine fixtures & fittings. Our Kawama Yacht Club home offers a spacious 1325 square feet / 123m2 of internal living space in an open plan format. Also featured are all large American appliances and usual smaller kitchen accessories within the integral breakfast nook. We would add that the kitchen is well equipped with smaller appliances, mixers and hand tools so you really can cook, if you wish to do so. December 2017 BRAND NEW Washer Dryer and Dishwasher.

You will also have access to our own private SUPER-FAST Free Wi-Fi service with good band width rated 70-100 m.b.p.s.

The living room has Large Screen HD TV with some enhanced channels like movies available, a DVD and Stereo System with CD player and I-pod dock. There is also an integral utility room equipped with washing machine and dryer. The main dining and living area features contemporary designer furnishings of coral stone effect furniture and designer leather sofas. Patio doors open onto your private balcony with ocean view from an elevated 4th floor aspect. We also enjoy a unique tropical 'tree-house' effect of adjacent breeze filled swaying palm trees.

We also enjoy lovely sunrises and sunsets from the balcony varying according to the angle of the sun through the year.

Everything has been thoughtfully appointed for an enjoyable vacation experience.

Enjoy Privacy for your family group in a HUGE SPACE. 1325 Sq Feet Internal, 1388 Sq Ft with balcony and common areas.

Elevator access rather than taking luggage and shopping up awkward narrow stair cases. (Shopping trolley provided) All access areas are ramped from parking areas - good for mature guests.

Walkways OPEN, Saltwater Lagoon OPEN, Tennis Courts OPEN, Waterfront and Beach Areas OPEN Sand has been fully restored. Tikki Huts restored. Oasis Pool is still going to be a while before it re-opens but two lovely pools are open and available on your doorstep.

We have owned our home in the Florida Keys since 1999.

Sally is a chartered accountant, Andrew used to work in the Logistics Industry and now maintains and manages our rental property portfolio.

We are experienced owner managers and try to work to a simple philosophy of ensuring good standards and practices. Above all we ask a simple question. Would we be happy ? This question frames our approach.

(just read our reviews!) We have many 5 star reviews on various platforms as well as a good number of repeat visitors who return every year or two.

We have invested in a constant programme of modernising and renewing the property. Furthermore in the 2016-2018 period of time, most of the major structural and furnishing items in the condo have been completely replaced.

We are licensed with both Monroe County and Florida State with the appropriate professional standards documentation to undertake short term vacation rentals. Details available on request. All the main components, systems and appliances such as the A/C are on maintenance service contracts, whilst we tend to change many items over before they fail on a planned basis.

What makes this condo unique

We had been visiting the Florida Keys for many years and spent time looking for a suitable property to purchase which would offer a range of quality amenities, lots of space and a tranquil location in the Sunshine. We also wanted somewhere that was central so we could visit Miami easilly if needed, but which wasn't three and a half hours from the international airport !

Our choice was eventually easy after reviewing every condominium community from Key West, through Marathon and upto Key Largo. We even rented some properties to test the locations for potential purchase and living in those locations.

We settled on Kawama Tower owing to the unique combination of location as it is central to everything. Then the amenities within the community are super nice, all maintained and just what we were looking for.

In combination, all of these elements make an attractive destination to visit. Both for us as owners, and for you as guests looking for quality accommodation for your vacation.

Kawama Tower features several water amenities for your use. The South Pool, 80 yards from the condo. The Saltwater lagoon. The North Pool - pictured in the photo gallery. The 'Oasis Pool' just 20 yards from the elevator (undergoing repairs after Irma, expected to re-open Fall 2018 pending Permit changes. Additionally one of the pools is a large palm fringed salt-water swimming lagoon which is approximately 1000 feet long and incorporates swimming platforms for the children and has many colourful Parrot Fish to feed and snorkel with. There are two all weather lighted hard tennis courts. There is a marina and dock slips are available to rent locally. We have a beach area just 2 minutes walk or 150 yards from the Kawama Tower. This is landscaped with palm trees and themed with ‘South Seas’ style Tikki shelters for shade with plenty of seating and several beach barbecues for your free use. The community is gated for privacy and enjoys 24hr security.

Well equipped condo at a great price

My family and I stayed in this condo for a long weekend of diving with my in-laws who stayed behind for some grandparent time our daughter. We found the condo well equipped with some nice, unexpected touches. The owners were super nice and accommodating. The state park passes, etc. were a really nice touch. The grounds were fine. The property is secured 24 hours a day. The closest of the three pools was being repaired after damage during Irma but the other two on the property were easily accessible. The playground was very nice. The biggest downside of the grounds was the “beach.” It’s in good condition but the sea grass that is rampant throughout the Keys detracts from its use. If you’re going to the Keys for a beach vacation, you might think again. Beaches are not naturally occurring on these coral islands and are not the draw to the area. We aren’t much for beaches, so it didn’t really matter to us. We’d rather be under the water than sitting next to it!

As for the condo itself, it’s well kept up. Very clean. It was obvious that the owners make sure appropriately updates to it are made. The kitchen was well appointed—certainly enough for what we needed in a vacation rental. The living area was nice and comfortable. The glass-topped tables were a bit of a hazard for our 10 month old. Not an issue if you do not have an infant. The sleeping areas were comfortable. The supplied crib was perfect for our baby. The bathrooms—especially the master—were nice.

I would definitely take a look at this condo if you’re looking for a nice place to stay that is in a really convenient location in Key Largo. Both my wife and in-laws remarked how much they liked it, and we all agreed we would stay there again if we come back to the Keys.

Owner's Response: Seems like you enjoyed a CLEAN, WELL KEPT, WELL MAINTAINED Condo. With lots of NICE Little touches…..and this contributed to you enjoying a Great Family Vacation. Unfortunately, the disturbed weather patterns and storms of recent times are an element of nature we have no control over. In truth, 2018 has seen the famous beaches of Miami and the entire eastern sea-board affected by wash ashore sea weed, it’s not just the Keys. It’s ‘nature’ in action. The sea weed does degrade and wash away with big high tides and a bit of west wind. It comes and goes and swirls in the gentle warm currents that wash our Beautiful Natural Keys Shorelines and of course it nourishes the wildlife that makes this such a rich and special destination to visit. We do have some lovely little beaches up and down the Keys, and even provide buckets and spades for the kids to play with on days out from our ‘Little Pirates Chest’ in the Condo. However, if you want to walk for miles across wide golden sands, the Keys are not the destination of choice. By way of clarification about the small coffee table. This has a 3 foot glass table top that sits on a 2 foot base. As you did, everyone with a concern for crawling little people, simply removes the glass and stands it behind the display cabinet out of the way. No drama. We specifically set up the condo to work well for families. With a crib, high chair and flexible sleeping and bathroom design, and quite a lot of thought as to what is safe and user friendly throughout. Thanks again for staying with us and for your positive critique : We genuinely CARE and put a great deal of EFFORT INTO EVERY LITTLE DETAIL. The property was excellent in every way, well maintained, great amenities and a convenient location.

We felt right at home in this property, the unit was spacious, up to date and very well equipped from both the standpoints of kitchen appliances and entertainment equipment. The pool area was clean and quite inviting.

The location in Key Largo was also great, we could take advantage of the nearby parks and snorkeling options. The drive to Key West was not too long and we were able to see several museums and other attractions in the various keys along the way.

The owners, Andrew and Sally provided a very complete list of things to do and further recommended several restaurants. Andrew checked in with us several times to be sure that everything was going as planned and to verify that there were no problems.

My wife and I would strongly recommend this property.

My family vacations once yearly. typically we rent a beach house. This year we stumbled on ID # 17772. This is a 4th floor condo in a beautiful setting, the Unit is just stunning, the grounds are very well taken of. The Owners Andrew and Sally are very informative, they have an entire website dedicated to the condo, the property, and everything and anything to do in the Florida Keys and South Florida. They will contact you personally to make sure everything is up to snuff and to offer suggestions on activities based on the time of year, or maybe based on your wants, which is a huge benefit, We really enjoyed this trip it may have been the best yet.You will love it

We had a lovely vacation stay in Andrew and Sally’s condo! Definitely visiting next time in the Keys

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautifully decorated and spacious condo! My husband and I spent every morning and every evening on the balcony where you can enjoy both the beautiful sunrise and the colors of the sunset. We also spent a lot of time around the pool and lagoon. Our teenage daughters and their friends really enjoyed feeding fruit to the wild iguanas lounging by the lagoon. Everything in the condo was clean and in proper working condition and it was nice that Andrew stayed in contact with us throughout our stay. The paintings done by Andrew himself hung all around the condo was absolutely exquisite! The location is perfect for everything we were interested in, including snorkeling, a drive down to Key West and visiting Miami! We will definitely be back during our next visit to the Keys! Situated on the southern tip of Key Largo on the Atlantic Ocean surrounded by azure seas the locality is truly beautiful for the discerning visitor seeking that holiday of a lifetime in the unique Florida Keys. We are just a convenient 70 minutes drive from Miami.

The Condominium village Community known as 'Kawama Yacht Club' enjoys the position of being set on an unspoilt peninsular. We are set between the virgin habitat of a bird sanctuary to the south and the beautifully preserved John Pennekamp Marine Coral State Park to the north.

We benefit from being well away from busy US.1.

Our Kawama Tower apartment benefits from being REALLY QUIET. Look forward to the rustle of the palm trees in the Ocean Breeze and the night time song of Tropical Cichadias. We are situated 3/4 mile off US.1, and literally on the Ocean.

In terms of Activities, we provide each guest with a detailed document comprising information about all the local activities and attractions and outline contact details for all the vendors in a concise document. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

PARTY SIZE AND RATIO OF NUMBER OF ADULTS TO CHILDREN
We provide accommodation to both ADULT ONLY and FAMILY GROUPS.
Maximum Ratio - 1 adult to 1.5 Children. Maximum is 3 Children with 2 or 3 adults.
The maximum number of occupants in a group is 6.
(We may exceptionally accept a party of 6, PLUS an INFANT using a crib by prior discussion).
One of the adults in ALL booking groups must be at least 28 years old.
VISITORS
The number of people on the booking lease is the maximum number of people allowed at the property. Please do not ask to add numbers that exceed our party size mix at a later date.
If you wish to add visiting guests to your booking, please let us know that this will be the case at time of reservation. We will accommodate Grand Parents wanting younger family members or friends coming to stay for a few nights so long as the numbers are below our capacity and ratio numbers above. We simply ask that this is discussed and agreed at time of booking.
PEAK SEASON CHANGEOVER DAY AND MINIMUM NUMBER OF NIGHTS OF BOOKING
From the middle Saturday of December until the First Saturday of August each year, we only accept bookings that run between Saturday to Saturday.
Additionally, please note, bookings in excess of 7 nights, must be for complete weeks running Saturday to Saturday. i.e. we will not accept bookings of 8-13 nights that split a second week unless the Full Weekly Rate is agreed and paid for.
BRINGING A WATERCRAFT
If you are looking to bring any form of motorised watercraft, please speak to us as soon as you are Booked to ensure you will fully comply with our Home Owners Association rules.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
