Pimento Apartment is one of three lovely studios sharing the grounds and swimming pool with Tamarind and Cinnamon apartments together with Almond Tree Villa.

Pimento is on the first floor above Tamarind with a marvellous view looking out over the swimming pool to the sea in the distance. The apartment is designed with comfort and more than a bit of luxury in mind for either a single person or a couple. We are sure that you are going to love the stylish and homely feel of the apartment.

Pimento is about 40% larger than Tamarind with a total inside floor space of 500 square feet so it is particularly spacious and airy and with dual aspect windows there is usually a lovely cool breeze blowing through the apartment.

The polished Mahogany wood floor adds a subtle attraction with a real nice feel under foot.

The accommodation comprises of a large bedroom space, kitchen and bathroom. You will enjoy your nights sleeping on the plush king size bed between crisp fresh white Egyptian cotton sheets. The apartment is very nicely furnished and includes a king size bed, matching bed side tables and chest of drawers. There is seating for two with a quality hand crafted settee and coffee table.

The flat screen TV offers you a great choice of cable channels. We have one of the better cable packages with dozens of choices for everyone including, movies, sports, news, kids and music and radio.

You will find Pimento’s modern fully fitted kitchen to be a major plus point with its impressive granite work surfaces. The kitchen is actually larger than the kitchen in the main villa so there is room enough.

We have supplied everything that you are going to need to prepare meals, snacks and drinks during your vacation. There is a four ring gas cooker, a tall fridge/freezer, microwave, electric kettle and toaster, pots and pans, cutlery, a full complement of crockery and the usual kitchen utensils.

Leading through to the bathroom is the walk in closet/wardrobe with plenty of shelves and space to hang clothes and room to place suitcases. And there is a long mirror, a must for the ladies.

The attractive fully tiled bathroom is again very spacious and light with a shower, toilet and wash basin. We have a solar powered energy which means we always have hot water, 24/7.

Outside on the Balcony there are two fan-back chairs and a table suitable for dining or simply relaxing with a cold drink.

We hope that you will choose to stay with us. Our aim is to offer the best high quality accommodation at the cheapest possible prices to our customers and our rates are some of the most competitive.

For stays of 7 nights and over we will arrange to come in roughly half way through your stay to clean and change towels and bedding.

For bookings of 6 nights or less your property will be serviced prior to your arrival and after your departure only.

Fresh towels are supplied and replaced twice a week but please bring your own beach towels for use outside on the pool terrace.

For those guests who want to get away from it all Vida is also available to do your washing and ironing. Guests are invited to make a private arrangement directly with Vida.

If guests prefer to do their own washing they can do so when either Chrishina or Vida are on hand to use the washing machine. There is a small charge of $600 JA per wash load to cover the costs and we supply the washing materials.

There is also a wash tub that guests are welcome to use that is ideal if washing a few small items. Each property has its own iron and ironing board.

All jokes aside, place was beautiful and clean rooms were huge Nigel and his staff was very welcoming, entertaining and informational. It was a very safe area at any given time 24/7 I’m in the process of rebooking for the summer loved it and I recommend it. it will save you $$$$$ I promise. A McIntyre stayed 1-16-18 - 1-21-18 loved it...

Fantastic ...but

I would highly recommend this place for families or couples. Excellent communication from the Owner Neal although I think maybe an information leaflet or something similar would be helpful as I couldnt think of questions to ask, and by the time I did.....it was too late so we figured things out as we went along.

The hosts at the complex, Nigel & Renee are absolutely fantastic hosts and couldn't do enough for us. We had a great time and even spent a fair bit of time socialising with them as if they were part of our group.

The only thing that marred our stay was the driver that generally does the airport pickups and trips around the island, JUNIOR. He is arrogant, extremely rude and false. He is extremely overpriced for his "trips". Around day 3 we questioned his costs for trips being a bit high, as an example he charged US$130 for the airport pickup (each way - approx 75 miles), for a trip to the Marley mausoleam (25 miles away) he wanted to charge us US$140. 1/3 distance $10 more?? (all we wanted to do was negotiate a more reasonable price) his reaction was to shove our money for the airport return at the end of the holiday (US$120 only - $10 short!) into my hand and told us to "do our own thing" then walked away. Nasty, nasty man. He has no people skills at all. We decided to do our own thing and despite warnings of danger, we hired a car, through the host Nigel. We had absolutely no issues driving around the island. You just need to be careful and stay clear of dodgy areas.

Overall we had a fantastic time, however my advice to visitors - Steer clear of Junior!

My advice to Neal, the owner - Cut Junior loose, he is gonna cost you money through lost bookings!

I would definately go back but only on the understanding that Junior stays away completely.

If it hadn't been for Juniors attitude etc, I would have given 5 stars.

Beautiful grounds

Lovely, quiet settings. Friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Only issue I had was not having hot water majority of the time. Whenever I asked, it would get heated to a temperature I was comfortable with, but it was a hit and miss issue which I found annoying as I couldn't shower as and when I wanted. At one point, I waited almost an hour for the water to be warm enough for me. Both Nigel and Renee were very apologetic and switched the water heater on(I assume) as soon as I asked but I often couldn't get the early start I wanted at times. I queried the issue and was told that there appeared to be a problem with the solar panels and that someone was coming out to have a look at it. Apart from that hiccup, everything else was exactly as expected. I'd definitely book again and would recommend it to either family or friends.

Calm, Quiet, Clean

Awesome vacation from start to finish Nigel and Renee were more than accommodating. I felt like I was at home if we needed anything they were just a step or text away. Nigel took us to some local spots on more than one occasion, even helped me to get fish which I brought back home with me. The apartment was spotless and spacious a really comfortable space. We walked to the local beach everyday and felt very safe doing so. It is definitely a gem at great price.

amazing holiday

We found our Paradise

 

 

This apartment is so lovely. Could not fault anything. It is very clean and well maintained. Swimming pool was fantastic. Nigel and Junior were great fun and nothing was to much trouble for them. It is a few miles out of town but not a problem for us with taxis so cheap and we prefer a bit of peace and quiet anyway. Overall really impressed and would highly recommend.

Almond Tree Villa and the three studio apartments Pimento, Tamarind and Cinnamon are situated together on the same lot within the upscale estate of Selbourne Gardens in the peaceful suburban district of Eltham.

Selbourne Gardens was highlighted in the Sunday Gleaner as one of the most desirable places to live in and around Ocho Rios. Most of our closest neighbours are elderly returning residents from either USA or UK.

It’s a quiet and private location tucked away at the end of a Cul-de-sac with no through access to non-residents. We are sure you will enjoy the peaceful, safe and secure feeling that the local area offers and at the same time it is literally only a 10 minute drive into the heart of Ocho Rios town centre.

The Eltham route taxis run past the entrance to Selbourne Gardens every few minutes.

On the other side of the ball park Eltham has a couple of friendly local bars and convenience shops and a top class barber called Scada.

The nearest beach where White River meets the sea is less than a mile away and there are several other lovely beaches within a couple of miles of the property.

Mango Beach at Coconut Grove is a favourite with many of our guests. They have a little beach bar and food is usually available.

There is a small supermarket and other shops and bars at White River and you can eat the freshest fried fish and bammy right by the riverside at the local fry fish joint opposite the Fisherman’s Pub.

It is only 3 miles from the property to downtown Ocho Rios. 'Ochi' is a splendid major tourist resort with an impressive array of hotels, restaurants, bars and night life. The market is well worth a visit with its huge selections of exotic fruits and vegetables.

Other nearby tourist attractions include the famous Dunns River Falls, Mystic Mountain, Prospect Plantation and Chukka Cove for horse riding, Dolphin Cove where you can swim with the dolphins, Island Village, Bob Marley's birthplace at Nine Mile and playwright Noel Coward's house Firefly with its spectacular view over Port Maria.

Directions to Almond Tree Villa

From Ocho Rios town centre take either Main Street or the new by-pass in the direction of Port Maria and St.Mary. Main Street joins the by-pass near to the Irie FM Radio studios. Carry on towards Port Maria passing the Boot gas station on the right hand side. After 500 yards, also on the right hand side you will see a Texaco gas station.

Turn immediately right after the Texaco gas station on to Exchange Road, passing the shops and ‘The White River Ranch’ restaurant/bar on the right hand side. Do not take the first road on the right but follow Exchange Road as it swings around to the right passing White River on the left hand side and going towards Exchange.

After 600 yards you come to the Epping gas station. Turn off to the right immediately before the gas station and follow this road going towards Eltham. You will see the River Oaks housing estate on the right hand side as you drive up.

After 200 yards turn right into Selbourne Gardens which opposite the ball park. When inside Selbourne Gardens take the right hand fork on Smith Terrace to the bottom where you will see Almond Tree Villa on the right hand side.

If you are using GPS please look for Smith Terrace.
