Modern, bright and spacious brand new apartment with air conditioning and good size south facing balcony.

The apartment has been furnished to a high standard and will make a perfect base for any holiday. Located conveniently in the centre of Fuzeta village, the apartment is situated on the second floor in a block of only 4 apartments. It is close to all amenities and is also within a few minutes walk to Fuzeta beach.

The good size sunny balcony is a perfect place to relax, sunbathe and enjoy any meal. There are comfortable loungers, a table and chairs and a full awning. A perfect place to people watch! with views over roof tops and of Fuzeta square with its many cafés and restaurants.

A car is not necessary at all and for those wanting to explore, the train is cheap and reliable and the station is only a 5 minute walk away.

The apartment has a well equipped fitted kitchen with good size central breakfast bar. Granite kitchen tops, ceramic hob, oven, toaster, fridge freezer, washing machine and coffee machine. There is ample cupboard space and work surfaces. Iron and board provided.

The lounge area is spacious with two large comfortable chairs, TV, Hi-Fi and free Wi-Fi. Infrared heating for the winter months. For maximum light, there are floor to ceiling sliding patio doors with electric blackout blinds which lead out to the south facing balcony.

The double bedroom is equipped with air conditioning, has a good size comfortable bed, large wardrobe with wooden hangers and full length mirror. Hair dryer provided. The patio doors also lead out to the balcony and have electric black out blinds.

The shower room is very spacious, bright and airy and is tiled throughout. The shower consists of a large shower head plus a smaller hand held shower and is separated by a glass block wall. There is a large hand basin with over mirror and light. WC. 4 bath and 2 hand towels are provided.

About Jane

I first visited Fuseta on holiday in 1992 and instantly fell in love with the portugues people, so generous, interesting and how they live a simple, stress free life.

I was told by my the newly retired father, 14 years ago, 'Don't wait until you are my age to make the move to Portugal, it's a wonderful life and should be enjoyed for as long as possible!'

I'm so glad I took his advise as I have enjoyed 14 wonderful years here, have built up a business and it's all with the help of my Portuguese friends!

Hopefully I can tell you about it when you visit!

My apartment is very well equiped, clean and welcoming and has the best balcony in the block! sun all day and ample space to sunbathe and enjoy a meal. My apartment is conveniently situated, the beach and all amenities are within a few minutes walk.

our month in Fuseta

Jane's place is ideal if you don't want to rent a car. There are small supermarkets, a bakery, several restaurants and two train stations a short walk away. The condo is very cute, comfortable and immaculate. My husband and I have rented several condos when travelling and this one was by far the cleanest! The kitchen had all the gadgets and dishes you may need to do your own cooking. The condo faces east and the morning sun warmed up the place nicely and the spacious balcony had very comfortable chairs for lounging. Jane is a very nice lady, speaks English, and was very helpful. We highly recommend this place for your stay in the Algarve. There are two flights of stairs from the ground level to the condo which could be a problem for people with mobility issue. A really lovely apartment with everything provided to ensure guests have a very comfortable holiday.

We had a wonderful week in Jane's beautiful apartment. Jane went through everything and gave us information on the area etc. The apartment is so comfortable in every way and is of a very high spec. Jane has provided everything that you could possibly need including beach towels and parasols and seats which is really thoughtful. Fuseta is so beautiful and you can hear the church bells ring and really get a taste of local life when sitting on the balcony. There's a lovely little bakery 2 mins from the apartment and the square with all its lovely restaurants is beside it. It is the perfect place to stay. Many thanks Jane for a wonderful holiday we really had a lovely relaxing week and cannot wait to return next year.

Comfortable and very well equipped apartment

Just returned from a relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable two-week stay in this apartment, which we found to be exactly as described in the listing and perfectly suited to our needs. The transfer from the airport was very straightforward and Jane, the owner, who had already been in regular contact by email, was waiting to welcome us - despite the comparative lateness of our flight. The apartment is modern, spotlessly clean and very quiet, and more than adequately equipped for a self-catering stay (although the close proximity of several dining-out options proved to be extremely diverting!). Fuseta is perfect for a break from the English winter weather as it appears to be very much a working town with most things seemingly open throughout the year, and rather like the apartment it had more or less everything we needed - including a decent sized supermarket and several smaller grocery stores, a number of cafes and restaurants and a beach bar all within easy walking distance of the accommodation. To get around we made regular use of the local train service (Fuseta has two easily accessible railway stations) and the Ecovia cycle track around the Ria Formosa - although when the sun shone it was generally tempting to simply stay put on the balcony or to occupy one of the benches in Fuseta overlooking the river! Overall, somewhere that can be thoroughly recommended to anyone looking for a quiet break in this part of the Algarve. Excellent!

The Algarve region.

The Algarve is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Every year tourists in their thousands flock to the south of Portugal to soak up the sun and relax in this European paradise.

The Algarve is full of history and heritage. Still standing today are buildings and walls dating back to the Roman times. You are never far from a museum or guided tour to allow you to gain a more in depth insight into the evolution of this beautiful region.

The Algarve has the best all round climate in the whole of Europe and can boast more sunshine hours than California!

Average temperatures range from 16º-17º in January and February, 22º in October to 29º-30º or higher in August.

Temperatures never fall below zero.

With over 100 miles of beautiful cliff faces and extensive golden beaches, the Algarve offers one of the most dramatic coastlines in the world.

Visit the traditional Portuguese neighbouring towns and villages along the Algarve coastline. Direct access from the apartm to the "Ecovia", a cycling/walking track along the coast from Olhão all the way to the Spanish border, ideal for walkers, birdwatchers and cyclists.

FUZETA is a traditional Portuguese fishing village in the Ria Formosa in the Eastern Algarve.

The town which is located on the coast is known for its quaint cubed houses with their terraces and interesting chimneys and is a trademark of this part of the Algarve.

There is a newly renovated produce market situated on the quay which is open every morning, except Sundays, where you can buy all your fresh fish, meat, vegetables and fruit.

The fishermen go out early to catch the fish and is freshly sold at the local fish, meat and veg market. Choose what you want for lunch or dinner at one of the waterfront barbecues. My favourite is the BBQ mixed fish on the street at 'Casa de Corvo' or also known as “Rui’s”.

Fuzeta has the bonus of two beaches. The first is a small calm beach on the lagoon in the town itself and is literally only a 5 minute stroll. Available to rent are loungers and parasols. Enjoy a drink or snack at the beach café. Toilets and showers available.

The ocean beach is just across the lagoon on the Island of Armona and is easily reached by a short, cheap, frequent ferry ride. Sun loungers and parasols are available to rent at the cafes and in the summer there is music and dancing. The Ocean beach extends for miles so those seeking more peace and privacy can walk 10 minutes to have the beach almost to themselves. The taxi boats leave from the ferry point and will take you to any of the other islands further out. Check out the water sports, kite surfing and kayaking.

The square is the heart of Fuzeta and has many cafes selling tempting cakes and freshly cooked bread. There is a pizza bar, takeaways, many different restaurants for meat, fish and chicken or try one of the traditional Portuguese dishes. Smell the delicious chickens roasting on the BBQs on almost every street corner!

Fuzeta has a street market on the first Thursday of the month and a flea market on the second Sunday of the month.

Fuzeta has two train stations both within a 5 minute walk from the apartment. The single line runs along the coast and stops in most of the towns so if you are looking to visit the many charming and historical towns then it is very cheap and easy. Why not take the train to Villa Real San Antonio on the Spanish border or one of the popular towns on the west side.

OLHAO, Pronounced 'ol-ee-ow', the neighbouring town, is a busy traditional town with a gem of a waterfront and striking marina. Its fishing port is the most important in the Eastern Algarve and its fish market is the biggest.

Olhao also has many shops, restaurants and an entire summer festival devoted to sea food. The famous Sea Food festival takes place in August and includes live music.Ameijoas, the king of clams, is grown and eaten in abundance and is a 'must-try' entreé. It will be well worth a visit!Olhão is very Portuguese, very Algarvian and still un-touristic. The pedestrian shopping area winds in cobbled streets through the moorish-looking old town to the waterfront.

The markets are full of home grown fruit & veg as well as meat, deli and fish. The cafe's, bars and parks enjoy sparkling views out over the Ria Formosa lagoons.

From the pier, you can take a boat or ferry to the island villages and beaches of Armona, Culatra and Farol, all great day trips. Lots of information at hand here. The official visitor centre for the Ria Formosa nature reserve is just outside Olhão. Its worth a visit to see the restored tidal mill (of which there were once many in the Ria Formosa) and the bird life.

Olhao has a shopping mall (Ria shopping) with around 80 shops, a large supermarket, restaurants/bars and cinema. There is also kart racing in the underground car park here.

Arrival time is usually from 13.00 and departure is required by 10.00, however I am very flexible depending on arrival and departure of other guests. We can discuss this in advance.




Usually access to the apartment is after 13.00hrs and departure at 10.00hrs to allow for cleaning but I'm very flexible should clients depart earlier.
Tea, coffee, sugar and water will be in the apartment on your arrival. Free Wi Fi/Internet.

Regarding airport transfers, I can arrange for my taxi driver Francisco to meet you in the airport and bring you to the apartment. Please ask for details.
