This very comfortable villa can accommodate 6 people, an idyllic holiday home

A beautiful and charming three bedroom villa, with private garden and swimming pool, nestled into an inspiring hillside setting, with superb views. This very comfortable villa can accommodate 6 people and is a short drive from the historic town of Moncarapacho and the golden beaches of the Algarve. An idyllic holiday home with all modern comforts.

Casa Louna has a beautifully landscaped garden filled with scented rose bushes and olive trees. The house is approached by a sweeping cobbled driveway. There is a shaded seating area with table and chairs for cooler dining. A larger mosaic table and chairs sits on a terrace beside the conservatory overlooking the beautiful swimming pool and amazing views to Fuzeta beach. This terrace has a retractable awning for extra shade. Dotted around the fenced and gated property are small pathways awaiting investigation!

Casa Louna has a very light, airy and cool interior. Furnished impeccably with hand woven Moroccan textiles, Casa Louna is an oasis of calm. The master bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower cubicle and bath. There is also a family bathroom with shower cubicle and a twin bedroom. The third bedroom has a double bed and all rooms have fitted wardrobes. The very comfortable lounge has a DVD player and television with French, English, Arabic and German satellite channels. There is a wood burning stove for extra warmth in the cooler months.

The lounge has air conditioning and there are two further mobile units. The fully equipped modern kitchen opens out to a conservatory with dining table and seating for six. All rooms except the conservatory have mosquito netting. Casa Louna is an idyllic home from home, the perfect spot for a relaxing holiday.

Quality sun loungers deck the terrace around the pool and there are sun umbrellas, a table and chairs available.

The swimming pool measures 10 m x 5m with steps leading into a shallow end of 1.20 m and a deep end of 1.7 m. Saltwater pool with Chlorine cleaning system and an external shower. The pool is serviced twice weekly during summer and once weekly during the rest of the year by a competent and reliable professional.

The charming village of Moncarapacho is 5km drive from the villa, with its shops and amenities and fabulous local restaurants.

The renowned blue flag beaches of the Algarve including the fishing town of Fuzeta with its beach island can be reached by car and is 10km away. Tavira’s beautiful beach island is 14 km away.

There are excellent golf courses within 25 to 40 minutes drive from the accommodation. The closest are Benamor, Quinta da Ria and Quinta da Cima, Monte Rei.

A car is recommended, especially in the heat of summer…and for reaching all the beautiful and interesting places further afield. Car rental, taxi transfers and bicycle hire can be organized with local reputable firms in advance or by calling the local representative.

Casa Louna is an ideal family home. The whole property is fenced and gated.

We can supply a cot, linen and high chair, charged at 20 euros per week. Please let us know if you have any other requirements.

This accommodation is suitable for the elderly as there are no internal steps and only two steps to the pool area.

Casa Louna is not at all overlooked, the nearest neighbours are 40m away.

Casa Louna is situated on a small tarmac road.

This is generally a quiet countryside location, a couple of dogs reside within the neighbours land.

Ashtrays are provided for smoking outside the property.

Due to the possibility of guests being allergic to animal hair, we would rather not allow pets.

Arrivals are flexible, though we aim to keep bookings as close as possible. Departure is by 10am and arrival is from 2pm unless otherwise arranged.

We provide a once weekly linen and bathroom towel change including a clean of the bathrooms.

There will be some toilet paper and soap for arrivals and a hamper of beverages, with additional breakfast and snacks are provided for late arrivals.

Guests will be met at the villa, or otherwise informed where to locate the key and visited soon after arrival. We ensure a prompt and competent service from a team of property managers, who can be contacted at anytime.

Fuzeta is an active fishing town with a picturesque river front dotted with colourful fishing boats and wooden cabins alongside the walkway, where the fisherman sit and mend their nets.

Ferries run to the island of Fuzeta and there is a small beach with café at the end of the riverwalk, ideal for small children.

Every second Sunday of the month there is a flea market spread out from the riverside to the town.

The main indusry of this bustling town of Olhão, 15km from Faro and 20km from Tavira, is the catching and processing of fish.

Beside the river in the centre of Olhão are two large indoor markets with a delightful array of fresh produce, especially fish brought in from the port next door.

The warren of narrow streets and flat roofs lend a North African feel to the old town and the landscape.

Olhão harbor is protected by two islands with superb Atlantic facing beaches ‘Ilha da Culatra’ and ‘Ilha da Armona’, both reached by charming ferry rides from the dock near the market place.

The islands are between 10 and 20 minutes boat ride away from the mainland and house a tiny community of residents but mostly summer huts and holiday homes.There is a very popular seafood festival during august with live music and hundreds of different ways to eat shell fish!
