Lantana 12

Tastefully decorated apartment with 2 bedrooms. Spacious private balcony 18.8 sq2m with sea views of the West Coast. Main bedroom has a Queen size double bed with an en-suite bathroom and private balcony to catch the morning sun. Second bedroom has twin beds and there is a family bathroom with bath and over shower. Air-con and ceiling fans in both bedrooms; kitchen fully equipped with microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, oven and hob. The main balcony is off the fantastic open plan lounge & kitchen where you will find a breakfast bar with 4 stools, and there is a dining table with 4 chairs perfect for 'al fresco' dining.

About the property



Lantana at Weston, St James is the perfect choice for a self catering holiday. This is a new development that consists of two blocks. There is a total of 45 apartments and two inviting communal swimming pools. You will also have the benefits of security, electronic access and ample parking.

Ideally situated, just 2.4km from Holetown, on the west “Platinum” coast where you will find an array of shops, bars, duty free, banks and every amenity you can need. If you head just a little way North you will come to the historic town of Speightstown, again a great place for shopping, eating and sightseeing; there is even a museum.

The closest beach is Alleynes Bay just across the road, only a short two minute stroll away. Here you will find a beach bar serving drinks and delicious food where you can watch the sun go down drinking a rum punch, your favorite cocktail or the famous Banks beer.

There are two types of buses service Barbados. Blue buses with yellow stripes are government-owned; their smaller, yellow and blue-striped counterparts are privately-owned. There is a bus stop outside the apartments, cost is the same to all destinations- 2 BDS. approx 66 pence or $1 US.

Ideal Beach Holiday Location

I have stayed at Latana in the past, so l was aware of the excellent quality of the apartments and its location. There is a little noise from the toad. However its a compromise you make for a quality , secure gated accomodation, with brilliant pools. At a very, very reasonable price. Last but not least Agnes, who manages the property was brilliant and aleays available :o)

We had three fabulous weeks, when for the first time since 2002, the length of time l have been going to Barbados, I had a genuine beach holiday. John Moores rumshack was brilliant and just 500yards from Latana. As was the Kim's fruit and veg stall. You have to try one of her banana/coconut/carrot cakes. The fish market between John Moores and Kim's again was so handy.

The nearby Reeds beach is walkable and is ok! The best beaches though are by the Santi Beach bar, which is a short distance towards Holetown, next to Lonestar restaurant! Heron Bay, near the Colony Club Hotel, close to Holetown. Plus Speightstown beach behind Jumos restaurant.

Massy's Supermarket Holetown is new but expensive. Jordons in Speightstown is the place to shop. Street fruit and veg

vendors are great value. For instant go to food then the go to place are the street food vendors. You can get mac pie, fish, bajan curry, salads, jacket potato at a fraction of restaurant prices.

If you want to eat out, then you can eat locally at Marcy's. Great place, where you can get breakfast. There are so many great restaurants on the West Coast, more expensive if you want to

treat yourself! From the Cliff to the Fish Pot.

We had a car but we also used the buses, which are just great fun and $2 Bajan to go anywhere.

A must is a visit to Bridgetown and nearby Holetown, which is a upmarket comparedvto Speughtstown, which is a real old wonderful town.

Comfortable, well maintained apartment

Clean comfortable apartment with nice view of the blue sea. Well maintained complex and small swimming pool. Very close to bus route for quick travel to Holetown, but the very noisy buses are cleary heard through the day. Use of a hire car allows most flexible exploration of the island.

Lpvely apartment close to beaches

Our family of four stayed at Lantana #12 at the start of April. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well equipped. (Even beach chairs and beach towels and decent wifi!). Gorgeous view of the sea (and pool) from our balcony.

We drove to Alleynes Bay (less than 5 mins drive away) - fab beach - and also walked to some stunning beaches just north of Lantana.

It was very convenient for the supermarket and loads of restaurants. Just Grillin was one of our favourites for very reasonably priced food (after a few "sundowners" over the road at Zaccios or Surfside!).

We hired a car but took the bus on evenings out - bus stop was right outside the apartment block and we never waited long.

Our favourite day out was at the Boat Yard near Bridgetown. It sounds a lot to pay up front but it was such a fun day and even included a boat trip. Great stuff!

Lovely Apartment

We had a truly lovely stay in Lantana 12. This very comfortable apartment was spotlessly clean and well equipped . Lovely views of the Caribbean. For a choice of restaurants hop on a bus into Holetown . The beautiful beach just a short walk. We hope to return next year.

A fantastic apartment in great a great location

We stayed in Lantana 12, a 2 bed, 2 bath apartment. Very reasonable prices and excellent apartment with all amenities needed including fast reliable WIFI. Overlooking the pool with the sea behind it's a fantastic location. Close to Holetown and Speightstown and numerous beaches. Bus stop outside and buses run every few minutes all day until around 10pm in the week and midnight on a Friday and only 80p per trip no matter how far. The meet and greet service was excellent and place was cleaned and towels/ sheets changed weekly. Pool/beach towels also provided. There are great restaurants and bars nearby including the Outback, one of our favorites and easily walk-able. Golf courses nearby are easily reachable if a bit pricey but Barbados Golf Club arranged transport and all inclusive package including club rental at very reasonable price. Will definitely book again next year as so much still to do

There are many beaches to explore from this central location, for instance there is Gibbs and Mullins to the North and Glitter Bay, and Lonestar to the South.

The Weston Fish Market is just a short stroll away providing a daily supply of quality fresh fish and local flavour. The popular Bo's Plaice is a beach bar serving food and drinks just a quick stroll down the beach.
