We built this cabin for our family when we lived in California and then we ended up moving to New York. Now we rent it out and only wish we could be there!
Michael & Heather Cassano purchased this cabin in 2006
We built the cabin to accommodate our large family. It is bright and comfortable with three levels which allow people to spread out and relax. Mike loves to cook so we built a gourmet kitchen just for him. It is a beautiful place to spend time with family or just to get away from it all!
We have a large family and were concerned about how much room there would be for everybody... 3 teens and a toddler... plus my wife and me... and her sister! Not only was there tons of room, but there was plenty for everybody to do. The house is beautifully appointed, with a pool table, video games, bbq, everything you could ever want in a kitchen... Everything brand new and in working order! The decks outside set right at the treetops, providing a beautiful view. By the end of our stay, we wished we had booked more time; and yes, we intend on returning.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at this mountain retreat! We spent two days in Zion National Park, about a 50 minute drive to the park and then another 30 minutes to the visitor center. It was wonderful to come back to the peaceful mountain cabin in the evenings. One of our favorite things was seeing deer walk right through the yard each day, just feet away from us. Thank you for opening your home for others to enjoy!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here from July2-9,2016. Everything was clean and very well maintained. Kitchen was fully stocked with equipment-maybe could use 1-2 more large frying pans but we made do. Master bedroom was really a treat with a king bed and office area with a walk in closet.
The back porch overlooked woods and hills that seemed to go forever. We were 5 adults plus a 13 and 10 year old. They liked the fire pit and pool table. Even tried to complete a 500 piece puzzle on their own. We were 1.5 hrs to Zion and 1 hr to Bryce. We took the opportunity to visit the North Rim of Grand Canyon as well. Much less crowded than the South rim.
If you want to rent a boat on Lake Powel, we recommend doing that early in the week- we waited too late and struck out. But there was a small beach type area where you could get wet
We would definitely recommend this cabin and area for multi-generational families- there is something for everyone.
As stated, you should have a 4 wheel drive or at the very least a front wheel drive vehicle. It is all gravel and dirt roads once you are off the main roads, we never had a problem but rain or snow would be a challenge
This cabin is beautiful and ideal for a large family or group! The kitchen and eating areas are spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. The cabin has games, reading materials, a pool table, porch swing and a fire pit. The location is secluded and situated between Zion and Bryce. We did day trips to each park and were happy to come home each day to this beautiful retreat. Highly recommended.
We stayed for two nights while touring Zion and Bryce Canyon parks. The home was clean and comfortable. We had a very nice time. The mountain top was peaceful, especially in the evenings.
Within an hour of Zion and Bryce Canyon. Near many local attractions including caves, pink cliffs, lava fields, etc.
