The house is super nice. Comfortable, homely and well furnished and equipped. The service and reception by Cristina is warm and welcoming. The environment is a bit quiet and not many walking locations near. No shops, bars or restaurants nearby.

Excursions

A 22 km is Valladolid, a prosperous city full of history, culture and monuments.

Tordesillas: the town was declared a Historic. Protected Natural Reserve Bank of Castronuño. Among its monuments, the following:

Plaza Mayor: This is a Castilian Square, arcaded style, which gives 4 blocks. It is full of noble houses.

Royal Monastery of Santa Clara was built in 1340 by Alfonso XI to Royal Palace, in Moorish style.

Houses of the Treaty: on June 7, 1494 the Treaty of Tordesillas in these houses, in which the Emperor Charles V made the distribution of the world with the King of Portugal was signed.

Castles and monasteries

Villalba de los Alcores: Forman a Historic villa and castle.

Mucientes Castle: Built in 1326 by King Alfonso XI, who ceded it to the Counts of Ribadavia, Lords of Mucientes.

Trigueros castle: he built the Robres and Guevara family in the fifteenth century. Has a strange way, as the castle is protected by an outer wall with cylindrical towers.

Montealegre de Campos: Montealegre Castle was built in the fourteenth century by Alfonso de Meneses.

Simancas Castle: built in the fifteenth century and was used by the Admirals of Castile. During the Renaissance Felipe II located the General Archive of the Crown. The castle retains its moat and bridge.

San Pedro de Latarce: the castle was built in the twelfth century and belonged to King Alfonso IX, who donated it to his ex-wife Berenguela. Until the fourteenth century it belonged to the Templars.

Castle Tiedra: known for the meeting, which took place between El Cid and Ms. Magpie, Mrs. Zamora. The castle was built in the eleventh century by King Sancho II.

Torrelobatón Castle: It was built between 1455 and 1473. It was destroyed during the War of the Communities and had to be rebuilt in 1538. His style also belongs to the School of Valladolid. They emphasize its 4 towers, one of Homage. It is in very good condition.

Famous monasteries

Wamba: St. Mary's Church: in its origin was a Visigoth monastery. The oldest part are horseshoe arches of the headboard and wall paintings, of Visigoth-Moorish style. The rest is Romanesque. Highlights include the ossuary and the tombs of the brothers of DNA. Magpie.

Castromonte: is very common hiking through this area, through the call path of the Marsh.

Monasterio de la Santa Espina: was founded in 1147 by Mrs. Sancha of Castile, sister of Alfonso VII. It is of Cistercian style. In it a thorn from the Crown of Christ, that the princess was brought from Paris, because they yielded St. Louis, King of France is saved. The transept and the chancel are the Renaissance style. Its facade was made by Ventura Rodríguez in baroque-neoclassical style. The monastery has two cloisters built in postherreriano style.

Culture - Villa Book

The nearby walled town of Urueña conserves almost intact its medieval flavor. In it there are interesting ethnographic museums and has recently become the "villa of the book", with many specialized bookshops and antique calligraphy workshop.

Wines

The region of the Montes Torozos is world renowned for its wines. From the house Roca Pintada Castrodeza, you enjoy a privileged location for excursions to no less than four designations of origin within no more than 50 km:

Less than 30 km to the north, and without leaving the county, are the famous Pink Cigales, an appellation of origin which has excellent reds too.

Increasingly reputation reaches the red wine from Toro, Zamora historic town 50 km west of Castrodeza.

If we go south, after 30 km we enter the land of the white wines of Rueda, considered among the best in the world.

Finally, eastward, across from the city of Valladolid, the vineyards of those born of the world famous red Ribera del Duero extend.
