Located on the third floor (with elevator) of an ancient building in a popular block along Trastevere, this simply nice flat offers superb accommodation in a fantastic location. It affords neutral interiors presented in excellent condition since it has been recently redecorated and combines modern design with period features such as the paneled ceiling. It comprises a bright living room with sofa bed for two, a fully-equipped kitchen, one cozy double bedroom and bathroom with tub. It is enviably situated in the heart of Trastevere and within easy reach of the main touristic sites. We stayed for 3 nights in this apartment and it was a pleasure, the bed was amazingly comfy as was the whole place, the noise outside is totally blocked out by the double glazed windows. Emanualle was a pleasure and a source of knowledge, Trastevere is a little gem of a place to stay and we highly recommend this apartment.
We loved staying at this apartment! It's very conveniently located, is very clean and well maintained and has everything you might need, including a full kitchen and washing machine. There isn't a clothes dryer but we used a travel clothesline we bought from Amazon to dry our clothes and it worked great. You can choose to walk to all the sights from here or walk to the taxi stand just a few blocks away. We didn't take the public transportation, though you certainly could if you wanted to. There are some great restaurants in the Trastevere region; we loved Da Vittori and Taverna Trilussa. Rafael was a great host and met us at the apartment just as we arrived, despite the fact that we didn't text until about 15 minutes before our arrival. I would definitely recommend this apartment and would love to stay here again!
The property is well maintained. Clean and comfortable. The neighborhood has plenty of restaurants and activity. There was no noise in the apartment. It was an oasis after a busy day in Rome.
I have to say it was wonderful and very relaxing. I will return to this apartment when I return to Rome. Absolutely loved it. It sits right in the middle of one of the best areas in Rome. Great cafe's and restaurants and shops. Easy access to tram and bus and taxi's. Easy walking to most of the sites in Rome. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.
Location: About two blocks from the Ponte Garibaldi on the main pedestrian access to Santa Maria Trastevere, so an active scene, thronged with tourists from late morning to late night. Many bars and trattorias in the immediate area. Great for younger travelers looking for Rome nightlife. For sight-seeing the main attractions, you'll need to be okay with longish walks or using public transportation. Driving looked difficult; parking nearly impossible.
Accommodation: Just as pretty as pictured. Four floors above with street with (thank goodness) a lift. Living/dining room furnished in comfortable, neat, uncluttered IKEA/Pottery Barn style. High ceilings made it feel roomy and airy, sunny west window. Didn't need the available AC in May. WiFi was adequate. TV could be adjusted for English audio on some channels (couldn't find any satellite news, though.) Kitchen VERY well equipped. Bedroom had a comfy king bed, two wardrobes with lots of storage space and hangers, double windows kept out crowd noise. WiFi did not extend to the bedroom. Bath had plenty of hot water, decent shower, easy-to-use washing machine. (Drying via laundry rack.)
Management: Prompt responses during booking procedure. Copious info provided thereafter. A small glitch on arrival when I could not get the rental agent by phone, but texting worked, and we were met at the door a couple minutes after arrival by Emanuele, who, with Italian charm, spoke excellent English and took the time to answer questions and give a thorough orientation to the apartment facilities and the neighborhood. Easy payment of deposit and balance by credit card. (Cash needed for security deposit and cleaning fee.) We felt the price was fair and within range for this type accommodation and locale.
Altogether a wonderful time and glad we chose this place.
This apartment is great. While maintaining the original features of the building, it has been carefully refurbished to provide every modern convenience. It is very clean, well decorated with comfortable furniture, wifi etc. It is ideally situated in the heart of Trastevere, close to lovely restaurants and bars but it was always quiet at night and we were not disturbed at all. We loved the area and will definitely recommend it to friends and will go back. The company that rent the apartment are really easy to deal with and email back immediately if you have any queries. They also provide you with lots of helpful information about Rome and the area and meet you at the apartment both at the beginning and end of your stay so that you have your deposit returned immediately. Would highly recommend.
While Rome seduces with its extraordinary monuments, Trastevere captures the traveler's heart. It is the most authentic and characteristic District within the Historic Center, the perfect place to glimpse the old world while enjoying the lifestyle of today's Romans. Often described as Bohemian, Trastevere maintains its character thanks to the old, narrow, winding, cobblestone streets. Homes decorated with flower boxes and clinging ivy interlace with coffee bars, restaurants, and one-of-a-kind boutiques.
The apartment is located in one of those small streets, next to the river and few meters away from the Tiberina Island. Thanks to its strategic location, you can reach within walking distance many astonishing places such as Campo de Fiori, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Imperial Forum, the Coliseum and the Spanish Steps. Following the river Tiber for 15 minutes you may reach the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel. Passing through this magical place, senses are pleasantly awakened with every step.
