This is a great property in a good location. It's close enough to local towns but far enough away for some quiet evenings and stunning views under the stars.
The property itself was great and was a fantastic size for two of us, we will be going back with a baby as they provide a cot if required.
There isn't anything that you could ask for extra in the property with all white goods, a great welcome pack of scones, milk and household consumables provided and a large bedroom and living area.
The only downside was that there were a few cobwebs here and there and a few light bulbs out but it didn't ruin our break
Would definitely go back
Needs a bit of love and care and cleanliness.
I would thoroughly recommend the cottage , it has been lovingly restored and is a beautiful quality and excellently equipped cottage, more like a well renovated home than a holiday let. The downstairs living area is very spacious, the cottage style kitchen great to cook in and the comfy corner sofa and good TV by the fire is lovely to spend the evening in after a day out. The upstairs with a large bedroom and large bathroom is perfect- bed very comfortable.
The outside lower terrace with furniture is a great space- my only very minor point to note is that a little more climbing plant screening on the trellis needs to grow up , as the BBQ of the garden area of Swallows Roost overlooks the terrace.
Overall - I would thoroughly recommend this beautiful cottage and it is also extremely good value for money .
We stayed in Skylark for a week after our wedding. Although the cottage is in a lovely, secluded, rural setting it is close to several beauty spots and there is lots to do in the local area. The cottage itself was absolutely beautiful and well furnished. The only thing that meant our review was 4 star rather than 5 was that there was rather a lot of pet hair left left from the previous occupants.
We had a lovely week in this characterful very dog friendly and spacious cottage. The surrounding countryside is beautiful, it is not far from Looe and Liskeard. There is a good car park and enclosed paved garden. We had everything we needed, it was great to have a welcoming cream tea when we arrived. We had excellent, helpful and friendly communication via e mail with the owner. There are great places to visit nearby. We would recommend this cottage especially if you take your dog.
