About The Owner

I am a small business owner who has spent a considerable amount of time in the Llyn Peninsula area. Although I am not of Welsh descent (my Wife is) I support the protection of the Welsh language and way of life. I am actively learning the Welsh language and there is a Welsh phrasebook in our cottage.

The Owner purchased this cottage in 2008

Why The Owner chose Pwllheli

The cottage is ideally situated on the edge of Pwllheli, within an easy walk of the marina. In fact, this is the closest available holiday accommodation to Pwllheli Sailing Club, which is one of our favourite haunts.

What makes this cottage unique

The cottage is within an easy walk of Pwllheli town centre so a car is not necessary. Local shops and supermarkets are also a short distance away. The greater Snowdonia area is to the East, and can be reached by car, rail or bus.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a lovely time at the cottage, what a great place and handy for walking into Pwllheli. The beach wasn't far away either. Ideal for exploring Snowdonia and the Llyn Peninsula.

Cottage only 5 mins. from Plas Heli and my sailing championship.

  • 4 of 5

Unloaded car outside cottage, then parked at Plas Heli as convenient for sailing championship. Cottage suited us fine, though we didn't spend much time there during the day. A bit noisy in bedroom at night due to traffic: shut window to reduce noise and room gets too hot.

The cottage is situated just outside of Pwllheli with great facilities and walking distance to the main town and the beach which we had quite a few BBQs on! I'm looking forward to visiting Pwllheli again thanks again Mark 👍🏼

Beautiful Cottage - Lovely Pwllheli

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful cottage, really nicely updated and well maintained. Well equipped apart from the lack of wardrobes which was a slight annoyance. We found the location gave us access to the beaches, marina and town all within easy walking distance and access to Snowdonia was around 20 to 30 minutes drive which was ideal for us. We weren't very happy with the closeness to the road and the resultant road noise but the overall loveliness of the cottage and location made up for that. Thanks go to the owner as we did enjoy your cottage.

Owner's Response: Many thanks for your comments on our cottage and we are pleased you enjoyed your stay. We hope you visit us again soon. I was in Pwllheli too, on the Easter Bank Holiday and found the town busier than usual after a long winter which could account for the increase in traffic.

Beautiful accommodation that fulfilled all our needs

  • 5 of 5

I originally booked the cottage due to the close proximity to the sailing club but was really pleased with the layout, facilities and cleanliness of the cottage.

Great Cottage

  • 5 of 5

This was our first visit to North Wales and apart from the changeable weather we had a great time. The cottage was superb and very well maintained. Although on a main road, traffic was never a problem. It was lovely to be able to just walk across the road for a stroll around the Marina. We found the location ideal for exploring the Llyn peninsula and Snowdonia. When we return someday we would love to book the cottage again.

Perfect Welsh cottage!

  • 5 of 5

Gorgeous, modern, clean and cosy cottage which was perfect for our stay and overlooked the harbour. My husband, 2 boys and myself loved the cottage and were amazed at all the little touches that had been thought of for our stay, including a welcome pack with places to visit, restaurants and pubs and we enjoyed the family games, cards and dominoes. The location was great for a nice walk along the harbour into Pwllheli town or to the beach. Fantastic service from Mark, quick to respond and answers every questions you might have. Would not hesitate to recommend or book again!
