Fantastic large 6 & 9 bedroom properties set in Oakerthorpe Holiday Village

The Old Milking Parlour and Milking Parlour Grande are two of seven properties set in the complex at Oakerthorpe Holiday Village.

The Old Milking Parlour is a barn conversion consisting of 6 bedrooms, 2 family bathrooms, 2 en-suite shower rooms and a large living area with kitchen diner for 12.

The Milking Parlour Grande was completed in December 2015 and consists of 9 bedrooms, 7 with en-suite, toilet and wash area, family bathroom and large open plan living area complete with banquet table seating up to 24 people and state of the art kitchen.

Both properties have digitally operated under floor heating and private courtyards – when booked together there is use of the adjoining gate.

Both properties boast the kitchen, lounge and dining area on the upper level so guests are able to enjoy the beautiful views of the grassed areas.

The Oakerthorpe Holiday Village grounds include a large playpark consisting of swings, slide, climbing frame and large playhouse. Canoe and full sized Ferguson tractor.

Adjacent to the playpark is a designated BBQ area facility consisting of 5 separate BBQs and a floodlit sports area.

Within the walled Orchard at the Farm are geese, ducks, bantams, quails, peacocks, sheep and meerkats where Farmer Vic invites guests to help at feeding time and collecting the eggs from the chickens.

The Oakerthorpe Holiday Village aims to provide a truly memorable stay for all its guests.

Perfect location for a holiday with family and friends

We loved the communal living area upstairs with a huge table for us all to gather around. Bedrooms had everything you needed and the whole place was spotless and decorated to a high standard. Underfloor heating kept us toasty. To top it off, fresh eggs were delivered to us on Saturday evening and there were 4 double yolkers! Such a lovely touch and much appreciated by us all.

A great weekend with family

A lovely clean, very well presented property with wonderful showers, a very well equipped kitchen and plenty of bathrooms - perfect for a large family group like ours. Child friendly there was a park and the kids enjoyed feeding the animals and hunting for eggs with the very welcoming farmer Vic. would highly recommend.

Beautiful cottage, finished to a high standard, perfect for our family gathering. Vic was so welcome, the children loved collecting eggs and feeding the animals. Have already recommended to friends.

This was a lovely place to stay with very friendly management.

Well placed as a central meeting point for family gathering from around the country. Lovely outside space for the kids, amazing park and a good size football pitch! The free farmyard orchard tour/animal feeding with Farmer Vic was great for little ones! Nice accomadation, communal space a wee bit small but overall very good value for money.

Great place to stay

This is a very modern property, clean and had everything we needed for 10 adults and four children.

The owner Vic was great with the kids taking them to see the animals and collecting eggs.

The property has pubs near by for food and drink and a short drive into Matlock.

With Sky tv and sports, it has everything you need for a pleasant stay.

What a fantastic family weekend we had at Vics fabulous Farm House. Lovely clean accommodation.

A brilliant location so close to lots of beautiful scenery. A day spent at lovely Doverall navigating the steps across the river. Another at The Tram museum at Crich. The grandchildren loved helping Vic feed and look after the farm animals. The accommodation was luxurious. Everything provided you would need for a weekend and all in lovely condition. Staff extremely helpful . Can't recommend this place enough. We will be back I'm sure. Thanks Vic.
