Hunters Lodge was built over 100 years ago and is the exact picture that you would have in your mind when you think of coming to stay in a fabulous old Scottish granite house, its very pretty and beautiful inside

Stylish but yet not over the top, extremely modern and up to date yet and fitted out with very high standard furnishings and appliances, you will find this a super place to stay looking out over the lochs edge every morning whilst taking breakfast what could be better

Fantastic cottage with great views

A very comfortable and well equipped cottage.

It's in a marvellous location with great views out of all of the windows.

The kitchen is very well equipped with a snug area for snacks/drinks.

The dinning area and lounge are open plan and the dinning area could easily sit 6.

The lounge is very welcoming with a good TV and viewing options.

The bedroom was light and airey with a comfortable bed.

We also liked the velux windows in the bathroom and hall way giving great views out without any privacy issues.

The property manager was very friendly, helpful and efficient.

I would definitely stop here again.

An unassuming house that is tastefully decorated, comforting with gorgeous views and gardens

We had stayed at the one bed garage conversion before a few years ago at Xmas time and only for few days, and as my dad was accompanying this year felt that the additional space would be a bonus. Very well organised and Tim is so helpful in phoning and checking that everything is okay and nothing appeared too much trouble. Had a wonderful holiday, dined at the Holly Tree, great nearby walks and beds so comfortable, best sleep had in years. Only small gripes would be again that the sofas are too low, although plenty of cushions and a welcome pack with just a few essentials would be an added bonus. Very highly recommend though, stunning house in gorgeous location.

Lovely property with superb views!

Fantastic holiday cottage with beautiful views over the loch. House was well equipped with everything you needed. The bed was extremely comfortable and rooms are decorated to a high standard. The couple we phoned to tell we arrived were very helpful and recommended some places to eat in the area. We had a lovely and relaxing stay here. Many thanks!

Beautiful property in a wonderful location but...

The house is beautiful and the location is stunning with wonderful views over Loch Linnhe. The facilities were good and the house was spotlessly clean on arrival. My only criticism is that on arrival one of the bedrooms was locked. I guess that since the booking was made for only two people then an assumption was made that we were a couple who only needed one bedroom. This was not the case but after a 500 mile drive we did not want the inconvenience of having someone come round to set up another room when all we wanted was to relax and settle in. I am 100% confident that the situation would have been resolved quickly if I had raised it but I did not want the hassle so we shared one room for the week though we fully expected a two bedroom property as advertised. Perhaps I should have made it explicit on booking but I didn't think I had to - I didn't expect one room to be locked unless specifically declared to be required. My advice is to make it clear that you need two bedrooms if you are booking for only two people who are not partners in that sense. In every other respect the property was exactly as presented and was a joy to stay in.

A wonderful place to stay

We had a wonderful week at Hunters' Lodge. I don't think the pictures do it justice. It's very thoughtfully equipped and the beds are super comfy and there are delightful skylights giving you mountain views from the shower or the landing. The location is great, on the shores of the stunning Loch Linnhe. We had easy access to Glencoe, Oban and Fort William with some amazing walks. You need a car, but the Holly Tree hotel is only a half hour walk away. Don't let that put you off, the walk there is beautiful along the edge of the Loch. The food there is excellent and we had an unexpected bonus in that we were offered free use of their pool and sauna after eating dinner there. So, after a great walk along the West Highland Way, we stretched out in the pool and sauna. We experience good communication from the owner of the lodge and any small problems were addressed immediately. We would thoroughly recommend it as a place to stay. A visitor pack for the house would be helpful e.g. what day is bin day, where to recycle, walks from the lodge
