The apartment is on street level. There are 2 swimming pools. Below the nearest pool there is a gate leading directly onto El Cristo beach. There is a lift down to the garage below where there is a private parking space, entered from the road with a zapper.
There are 2 supermarkets within a 7 minute walk. Also cafes, bars and restaurants. There is one restaurant at the entrance to Marina Bay.
Estepona marina and port are less than a 10 minute stroll.
Estepona town and old town is about a 15-20 minute stroll along the promenade beside The extensive La Rada beach. In Estepona there are numerous banks, post office, shops, cafes, bars, restaurants. The old town is very beautiful with its cobbled streets, quaint houses and hanging pots of flowers.
There are some lovely towns in the hills to visit. Casares is about 20 minutes by car, Istan is about 40 minutes by car and Ronda is about 1 hour 20 minutes drive. These towns are very quaint and are very interesting historically.
The bull ring in Estepona is about 10 minutes walk and it has a small fascinating museum as well as taking a look into the bull ring and entry is free.
There is a large market in the port on Sunday's 10-2, which is always very busy and many stalls with clothes, shoes, jewellery, pottery, sun glasses, watches, table clothes, leather goods etc. 10 minutes walk.
On Wednesdays there is a market on the road from the roundabout to Lidl (10 minute walk) which has clothes etc also and fruit and vegetables, olives and nuts etc.
Malaga airport is 1 hours drive. You can hire a car there, there is a limited bus service from the airport to Estepona, there is a bus transfer (but it takes hours because of all the drop offs before Estepona). There are taxis and also a car can be arranged to pick you up and drop you back.
A car is not essential in Marina Bay as there is plenty to do nearby. Also the local bus goes right by Marina Bay.
There are boat trips from the port to go to sea to see the Dolphins or just have a nice sail.
Trips to Gibralter and Morocco can also be booked at the Internet office down by the port.
