Nigel & Mandy Savory purchased this villa in 2004
Having spent many holiday in the area we finally decided to buy, we were sold immediately on the view from the terrace.
I was going to drop you an email this week anyhow. We had a wonderful time and the villa and location is just so beautiful. There was eveything there we needed and more and we loved the fact it was so safe for the children with the pool being on the lower level. We were lucky with the weather as we hardly had much cloud so we all have a nice glow! We went to a fabulous restaurant on the top of the hill in Cabris which was great and most evening's were spent with bbq's and champagne!. We got to see some lovely places but also enjoyed the lovely villa too. We all really did have a great time and we will definately be going back.
Thank you for letting us have your fabulous villa for 10 days!
Will be in touch in the future for another booking,
We were delighted with our stay in this lovely villa.
The whole rental experience was excellent and we found the owners and local agent could not have been more friendly if they tried.
The villa is located ideally for daily exploration to the coast, and has everything a family of all ages could wish for.
Somehow there was a “lived in homely” sense to the property, rather than one which simply said “rental operation” where the minimum equipment possible could have been made available.
Not so here, with a very well stocked kitchen and everything from DVD’s, books, children’s books, CD’s, board and outdoor games which were very welcome additions.
All of the above were in English as well and there are even plenty of UK television channels.
As others have said in their reviews, locally everything you need is available nearby. The pool was 26 degrees and the outdoor patio area was perfect.
We can highly recommend this property to anyone, and look forward to future visits ourselves.
Arrived on Boxing Day evening so didn't get to appreciate the stunning views from the Villa until the following morning.
We are a familly of 4 with 2 teenage boys. They enjoyed going to the boulangerie each morning for croissants & bread.
We visited the resorts of Antibes, Cannes & Nice. Strolling along the promenade in the winter sunshine, watching the locals play boules & drinking hot chocolate seemed to fill most of the day. All the places we visited had Christmas markets selling everything from local crafts to hot wine & crepes.
Also well worth a visit are the hilltop villages of Cabris (just 3-4km away) & Gourdon which has spectacular views & quaint cafes.
Couldn't go to south of France without a trip to Monaco where an attempt to drive the F1 circuit failed due to the one way system.
Also worth a visit is the nearby lake which has some lovely walks along the wooded shoreline.
New Years eve gave us some of the best firework displays without leaving the villa as all could be seen from the terrace.
In all, we spent 6 days in France & had a fantastic time.
The Villa is very well equipped & the heating kept it warm & cosy at night. Would definately reccommend this Villa.
Best rental experience ever. We have been travelling in Provence for six years - tested villas and hotels, and summer of 2009 will be remembered as the very best year.
Manager Tracy, and site help Sebastian made a solid impression.
WE WILL BE BACK.
Kindly regards - "the travelling norwegians"
This is the first time we have taken a villa in France, previously having enjoyed numerous campsites throughout France. Our choice was well made and all (adults and teenage children) would vote for a villa of this type/quality again.
The location does require a car to get the best out of the area. However, the train station in Grasse is the best way to get to the main coastal areas and stops at most locations.
The villa facilities were excellent and the pool was a big success - the sun shone for all 14 days!
From the local Speracedes village for bread and meat to the supermarket (about 3 kilometers) food shopping was easy. Grasse is the closest town and has a good range of shops. The most relevant is the perfume industry and best of these is Fragonard; the tour is very good and any staff we met including the shop were very helpful and friendly.
Best local restaurants are in Cabris but for something really special a visit to Mougins is recommended.
Best day out on the coast is by train to Monaco - not all glitz, boats and casinos; the history of Monaco is worth exploring. Be prepared for some steep climbs but they are worth it.
This is a lovely villa - perfect for small children or adults with older children. The house is all on one level and has a fenced patio and separate swimming pool making it very safe for children.
The two main bedrooms open on to the view and patio but if there were eight adults the two other bedrooms do not have much of a view although they are a good size.
The view is stunning and the gardens lovely with many large olive trees to provide shade. A beautiful pool kept everyone happy.
it is close enough to Nice to make the journey from the airport easy and quite short. I would advise that you do not use Avis car hire. My son and small twins waited two hours to collect their car which was not much fun in the heat and after a journey
The property was in good condition, clean and well maintained with most things that we needed although there were insufficient towels for the week and they were small and hard. We had to pay extra for bed linen and towels to be provided.
We would definitely recommend the villa. It is in a lovely area with the sea about 30 minutes away. There are several pretty villages near by and good restaurants in Cabris. Supermarkets are close by and several pizza vans selling excellent pizzas. A good area to explore.
We did catch the train from Grasse to Monaco but it was very hot and exposed for the small children.
Altogether a very good holiday.
What a lovely 2 weeks we had here at the villa. Very relaxing, a perfect location to unwind from your normal day to day life.
We speant most of our days around the pool and sunbathing overlooking the beautiful scenery.
The villa is well equipped with everything you need to make a perfect holiday.
LOVELY TIME HAD BY ALL.
